Despite my kids being teenagers and almost at the age were they are out growing camp life they still say that this camp is amazing. They come home excited for the next day to go fishing, biking, tubing and wakeboarding. Not only have my kids managed to be happy, but their 3 friends have too. We recommended this camp in the spring to 3 other families. Not knowing if the other kids would like it or not, we still felt that the likelihood would be that they would love it. We were right. All 3 kids stayed that it had been the best camp that they've ever attended. The counsellors that they hire typically return multiple summers in a row and most of them have graduated high school and are university students. Mick and Coby are both currently in university and Maya who ran the tennis camp at Britannia was a full fledge graduated from teachers college. This fact has always made me feel good about sending my kids to this camp. For multiple years in a row, I have or had continued to see their friendly faces every year, giving me that sense of security to know that my kids were going to be and are currently being looked after. With regard to their tennis camp, that was the foundation that gave my son the opportunity to advance in his tennis game. He went onto making the regional team at the RSC and it was all thanks to the wonderful introduction and basic skills and game play that he got from the NTS!! I brought my children to Xtreme Trampoline Park on March 20 for the advertised under-12 "Junior…read moreGlow" session (7PM-9PM), expecting a safe and age-appropriate environment. That expectation was not met. There were a significant number of visibly older teenagers in the facility that were playing very rough and clearly did not belong in that age group. This session is advertised as under 12 both online and was verbally confirmed to me at the time of payment. During the session, my children came to me visibly upset after overhearing two older boys talking about "killing all the kids" so they wouldn't have to share the basketball court. Regardless of intent, this is extremely serious language in a space full of young children. I reported it immediately. While one staff member responded appropriately, the on duty manager's handling of the situation was dismissive. I was told nothing could be done because the individuals denied it, even though I personally observed them leave the basketball court (directly in front of the check in desk) and move toward the locker area while I was reporting the incident, likely because they realized we had identified them. If nothing else, they should have been asked to leave and come back at the later age appropriate glo session (between 9PM-11PM). I followed up by email because I felt it was important that the general manager/owner were aware of the handling of the situation. While the response acknowledged the situation, it did not take accountability, did not accurately reflect how it was handled in person, and did not include the manager's name. It was simply signed "Sincerely, Xtreme Trampoline Park," which was unacceptable given the seriousness of the incident. This was not a safe or properly controlled under-12 environment, and policies were clearly not being enforced. Based on this experience, I have serious concerns about how a more critical safety issue or real life threat would be handled. This was our first time there. We will not be returning. For parents expecting a properly supervised and safe environment for children, I would recommend considering Flying Squirrel Trampoline Park instead.

Under their umbrella, there's a ton of fitness centres and wellness programs (like the Nepean Tennis Club!) under their "lifefit" heading. I had my first experience here in a summer camp when I was young, and then at a volleyball camp as a teen. As an adult, I appreciate all the clubs and sport leagues available. They also do training courses like CPR and First Aid, and have specialty classes like Fine Art which is cool. Their facility is a big one, and there's a ton to learn and see, so take your time and soak it all in. I'm a big advocate of checking out their website to see what might be of interest to your fine self. You can get an individual or family membership, and there's a lot of options, so if you get confused, maybe go in for a chat. The FieldHouse Bar and Grill is also a part of the centre and serves up breakfast, lunch dinner and snacks and drinks. There's also a sports shop that sells fitness gear like clothing, tennis rackets and they offer restringing which is helpful. They also have banquet and special event services as well as a massage and physiotherapy clinic! If you're looking to get active or make some new friends, this is an awesome place to check out. Also great for kids - they have a massive summer program!

The lobby is nice and welcoming and the signage is very helpful to get the guests to where they need to be in the building. The food the catering staff creates is top quality and their event staff must be on point as I've never attended an event where anything went wrong from the venue's perspective. They recently added a temporary extension off the front. I'm not sure what this building houses. It includes an enclosed walkway from the main building to the new temporary building. That walkway is a bit awkwardly placed and makes cab drop-offs and pick-ups somewhat difficult. It's not possible to see the full driveway and getting passed the temporary walkway is a bit of a squeeze in order to get to the cab drop-off/pick-up. But with all new things come a few bumps, so I'm sure they'll figure this out quickly.
