Camp Bow Wow has been great to my puppies. The staff is friendly and my pups come home tired. I appreciate that when I walk in my dogs are greeted by name. And the webcam allows me to check on the dogs throughout the day. I've used both the daycare and overnight services and have been happier with both. read more

I can't seem to get a phone call back from Camp Bow Wow. I've left two messages the last two days and no one has had the time to return my call. If you are too busy to return a call, you are too busy to look after my dog! read more

Mr. Eric White provided unwavering customer service and exemplary professionalism in my multiple interactions with Camp Bow Wow Charleston. While assisting in welcoming my dog and I to the area, Eric made himself available and was able to bond with my abused dog ensuring comfortable and successful interactions with every Camp Bow Wow visit and employees. Eric is the reason for my repeat visits, my 5 star review and the sole proprietor of my business with Camp Bow Wow. I recommend this company and specifically this location, to any and all of my friends, family and acquaintances who own furry friends in the Charleston area. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. They kept my dog malnourished for four days and clearly caged up because she was never in the videos yet then complained that she had behavioral issues. My less than 20lb cat eats more than they were giving my dog each day. The food that I got was barely touched when it was returned to me. Terrible place that can't take care of a dog, useless staff that after a whole month doesn't know my dog is a girl and seem to lose instructions about how much she eats, and the worst customer service who doesn't return phone calls unless they need to charge you money. read more

We had a great experience with this Camp Bow Wow! Our sweet little dog spent just one day there. We would definitely take a chance on Camp Bow Wow again, anywhere. When we picked her up she was happy and clean with a cute scarf and certificate of acceptance into the pack. She usually spends her days with just family, not much interaction outside of us. So, we we're very happy and relieved! read more

camp Bow Wow exceeded my expectations as a very nervous dog mom of a high energy, and high maintenance 2 year old border Collie. This was my first time boarding my 2 year old Border Collie for longer than one night, I boarded him for 5 nights to attend my sisters wedding. I am from out of state (NY) so bringing him somewhere completely new and for an extended stay was nerve racking for me but from the very second I entered Alyssa at the front desk calmed my nerves, gave me a tour, and made me feel Miles was comfortable. I received texts with pictures, texts, and videos that made me see Miles was having a blast, getting love and attention, and made me feel like the staff was going above and beyond to made me as Miles dog mama feel comfortable, relieved, and happy to see him settling in just fine. The Cameras are also so comforting to watch because I was able to check in and see him socializing and playing, which is just as great for him as it was for me. I was so happy with the amount of time they were out of their crate (especially with a high energy dog) and how much attention they got. I also loved the option to get the one on one play session (which I did), and an exit bath (needed after all the dog play). He came home happy, and very tired, which means it was a great success for him. I went from extremely nervous to very happy and comfortable, and want to especially thank Alyssa for all her hard work on easing my nerves, she was as sweet as could be, she validated my emotions that it was okay to be nervous at first but then she went above and beyond to make sure I knew Miles was settling in, having fun playing, and that he was doing great! Thank you so much Alyssa you especially made this experience a great one for myself and Miles. I would definitely return and I know Miles would be happy to too!! read more

Would not recommend this doggy daycare. At double the cost of similar services, they should bend over backwards to keep your business, however it is the opposite. The process to get a pet in is very lengthy, and while checking my pets in for a meet and greet, the worker behind the counter seemed bothered by a new client.....instead of helping the process to make it easier. Definitely will not ever recommend. read more

I brought my dog to stay for one night here and had no issues. Check in/out was swift and my fur-babe looked happy on the webcam. I had pretty much the same experience that I have had at other CampBowWow locations that I have visited. I will certainly have my dog(s) stay here again when I am in the area. read more

I wish there was more stars than 5. We love bringing our dog to camp bow wow. The staff takes care of him so well and has been so over accommodating for my boyfriend and I and our crazy schedules. We've done both boarding and day care and have never had any complaints. My dog loves it there! read more

I had a good experience first time around so I decided to go again. Well, I picked up my pup and she had urine in her bed. That was the first sign of something isn't right. Then, the next day she had a terrible cough, sneezing, and wasn't herself. A trip to the vet and $$$$ and meds later she caught an infection. She is up to date with her shots and kennel vaccine. The place also smelled bad when I walked in. Not once have I ever seen her on camera. Sadly I won't be returning. read more

I love being able to watch my pet while she is here, it makes me feel better about having to leave her somewhere, she is always a tired girl after. The staff are always very nice and interact well with my dog. read more

They do not watch the dogs and hardly interact with them at all. I went on a weekend trip and left my puppy here. Potty training had been a long way coming and when I dropped her off I explained her potty training situation to them. They just told me "there's a doggy door to the outside she will learn from the other dogs" After bringing her home her potty training is undone and she won't eat and was acting strange. If you have to travel I highly suggest finding friends to keep your dog. read more

Overall this is a good daycare for your dog. However, please be aware if you have an older dog that this may not be the case. I took my 12 year old lab here several times over a years time for boarding and daycare. On 12/30/20 I came to pick him up and noticed on the camera inside he was laying down by himself, which is not usual for my dog. He is a very active and loving dog who loves to be next to someone at all times. As soon as someone came out they told me he had thrown up twice. I said what? What do you mean? What did he throw up? She said I'm not sure and went and got him. When they brought him out I was mortified. He couldn't breathe!!! He was wheezing, foaming at the mouth and gums gray. He literally was gasping for air. I immediately asked how long this had happened and she said she wasn't sure. Demanded to know why I wasn't called. " we thought this was normal" he literally could not breathe. I rushed him out and immediately to the vet. Sadly I had to put him down that day due to a paralyzed lower esophagus. The vet informed me if he had gotten there soon after it started he would have been ok with medications. I found out later that day that he laid there a minimum of an hour like that and they knew it and saw it. No one ever called me!!! Of course there has been he said she said from the staff but they all stated they thought he was ok!!! Never in my life have I seen such an incompetent staff. They are by far negligent by not calling me immediately when he started to act this way. I wish I could up load the video of him wheezing for air I took at the daycare. I will upload a photo however. This is a good daycare for puppies and young dogs. Just please don't trust them with older dogs. My lab did not have a pre existing condition with this. Sadly this is something that older labs get but can be helped with meds if caught in time. Sadly it wasn't due to this staff. read more

My family went on vacation for a week, and left our two dogs (5 yo and 12 yo) at CBW. when we picked them up not only were they very stressed out, they had bite and scratch marks and they are now displaying multiple symptoms of canine influenza. just get a dog sitter, this place is far from "premier". read more

We've boarded with CBW multiple times and we will not be going back. The first time my senior pug mix was there they sent me a picture of him playing and I checked the cameras later to see him sitting by a mop bucket by himself shifting his weight on his legs, I sent screenshots and asked for him to be put in his kennel to the same number that texted me with no response until 2pm the next day. He was in that room until the cameras went off that day by himself. Today we went to pick up our pug mix and 2 year old golden after 4 days where I mentioned I never saw the golden on the webcams and the blond was quick to respond "oh he was out there the entire time" and went back to looking at the screen when I said it was weird I never once saw him on the camera she let me know there are blind spots that cameras don't see.. cool I guess my dog played in a sliver of off camera play yard the entire time. We also asked for our dogs to be bathed during their stay and there was no apology given for that not happening just "I don't see it on their account." And she mentioned "their system has been acting up" which is kind of a red flag if you have a pet with a medical condition. I even blatantly told them their customer service was lacking horribly, giving another chance for an apology to which she twitched her head and said "wait. What?!" Yes you, your customer service is horrible. Is that shocking to hear someone say when that is your natural response?! Do yourself a favor and take your dogs elsewhere. Other camp bow wows have been incredible but I'm done dealing with this locations rude demeanor and lack of remorse for not doing the job they claimed they could do. The employees need to be trained better, not sitting on the desk when people walk in, never making eye contact when speaking to them and having a more professional appearance and attitude. If they were kind and professional I wouldn't be worried about leaving my dogs in their care but never being able to see them on camera/not getting a response on top of their entitled attitude has made me regret giving them my business. YOU CAN DO BETTER. read more

Our dog attends "camp" here once a week. When we initially moved to Charleston, he was very reluctant to go anywhere. He didn't adjust very well. We decided to enroll him in Camp Bow Wow so he could have social interaction once a week while we are at work. He LOVED it. We were very nervous and watched him on the camera multiple times a day, but he was clearly having too much fun to miss us! Since then, every week when Wednesday or Thursday rolls around, he tries to follow us out the front door so he can go to camp. We had to stop saying "do you want to go to camp?" Because he'd get too excited to do anything else before it was time to leave. We feel he is always in wonderful hands and will have the time of his life. We are so happy to have found Camp Bow Wow! read more

Not understanding the negative reviews. This place is great. My dogs love it. We have been taking them here for about 2 years now. We spend quite a bit of time in the Charleston area. Both of our dogs are always excited to arrive. It is obvious that the staff are crazy about dogs and love what they are doing. It is an exceptional facility. Very clean and plenty of room. Love that we can check on our babies anytime while they are there by watching their cameras online. Highly recommended. read more

What an awesome place. My pups love to stay here. They also have a web camera so you can see your pups while you're away.

Love this place! So does Bella out Weim. Se looks forward to hanging out with them. It's a little farther than I like to drive - but it's worth the drive for your animal. read more

We love the live video cam so we can check in on our puppy during the day and the ease of drop off and pick up. Its also great that we don't need to make reservations for day care. The cost is very reasonable, too, especially compared to a dog walker. Best of all, Murphy can't wait to get out of the car and go play with her friends. She loves it there!! read more

I went to Camp Bow Wow only after a friend referred them to me. My dog, mini daschound, has been to camp for both day care and for boarding. It is so nice to see a place that will group the dogs according to size and allow them to run and play both inside and outside at their own free will. It is also nice to see staff of CBW interacting with the dogs and playing with them. The dogs are there to have fun, but I think the staff is there to have fun also. A not about day care: Each time she goes to day care she has so much energy at in my apartment that I am going nuts just trying to keep up with her but after a day at Camp Bow Wow she has ran all that energy out, which is so nice. She will come home and sleep and get rested up, just in time for the weekend. On a note of boarding,: She was board for a week at Christmas time as I went out of town for vacation. At first I was nervous about it but then seeing the inside of the building and seeing where they she would sleep each night, that put all my fears to bed. In addition to super friendly staff and great us (my dog and I) by name they have awesome webcams that can become a distraction when you are at work, but it a good one-seeing your dog playing and having fun with other dogs. read more

We love Camp Bow Wow. Though we know they are all different owners, we have used three different Bow Wows and have never been disappointed. We feel safe leaving our dog with there & never feel guilty about the high-energy, crazy animal we drop off with them. The seem responsible, attentive and loving. And our dog goes CRAZY with excitement when we pull up - and I trust his instincts! read more

I have been taking my dog ( child) to bow wow in Mt pleasant for over 8 years and I wouldn't trust him with any other doggy day care. I drive 30 miles each way to take him to people I trust. well worth the drive as they know my dog. The staff is friendly and always willing to take my phone call with questions. The owners are great people as well and always involved with the operation of the business. I am a huge fan. read more

Staff were very friendly and the dog came out happy after a day playing with her new buddies. She's pretty good about letting me know when something bad has happened, so when she met me afterwards it was easy to see she had a good time and got plenty of exercise. read more

Great place, nice staff, my dog loves this place! Nice to know our dog is in good hands when we travel.

Have been able to get our German Sheppard in during the holiday times with just a couple of weeks notice if needed. Also was easy to extend his time this last time we had him there and he is always happy when we pick him up. read more

Didn't earn our business because they didn't return our phone call--gave them the benefit of the doubt by trying one more time nearly two hours after leaving the message on a Saturday AM (called just after they opened for business) and found the man very stand-off-ish and put out. Surprised and taken aback by his behavior after our dog loves the time at the Camp Bow Wow in our town. We were visiting Charleston for the day and wanted to take the pooch--ended up at Charleston Dog House and our dog LOVED it. So, hope others like this Camp location because I'd hate to see how this guy treats my dog when I'm not there and he's in a REALLY bad mood. Yikes. read more

Appreciate the staff at CBW, they are accommodating and treat my dog well. I like the App with camera's to check in. Boarding at CBW is great as the dog gets to spend the day hours in daycare and not stuck in a crate/kennel for the entire day. I never feel guilty about leaving my dog here while I go on vacation as I know he will get a lot of attention and time to interact with staff and other dogs. read more

This place is fantastic. Staff really care about the dogs and my hound always enjoys his stay. He comes home tired and happy.

This place is Great! Our dogs always have a really good time when they are there and come home tired from all of their playing! I love the camper cams too so you can see what your dog is doing while you are gone. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. read more

Our dogs and I were greeted by very friendly helpful folks. I had been worried about the interview but now feel sure reasonably well-behaved dogs pass. Our dogs seemed to have a good time (don't you wish they could really tell stories). The hours give a lot of flexibility and we have located a Camp Bow Wow in New Orleans that we plan to use when we visit in April. What a wonderful opportunity to take your pets on vacation but not have to always find pet-friendly accommodations. We will definitely call Camp Bow Wow Charleston when we need to leave our dogs behind. read more
