We did a group of 6 ladies for a weekend at this glamping location and had a blast. The luxury of a hotel with the ease of Nature. Our tent had two bunk beds and two singles allowing everyone to have their own bed. Breakfast and dinner included as well as someone to set up and start your campfire. Camping couldn't be easier. Close to Utica and trails. Great girls trip.

This is definitely more of a GLAMping type vibes and if your like me ( like the idea of camping but not with the start above no tent thing vibe ) then this is for you !! Went here with a large group so we had a few of the units for the stay including the bride and groom unit, this was an amazing experience!! It really feels like your in the middle of nowhere tho lol and the closest major store was at least 30 minutes away but overal great experience, Great food ! The workers their are all unique and helpful Get a souvenir!! I purchased the corduroy camp aramoni top ( super cute ) because not sure if I'd do it again ( I'm a big scary cat and all the forest sounds freaked me out ) Ps: only negative the water had a Wierd sulfuric spell to it ... I think it's part of the water system there

Spacious dining. Warm rustic decor. And Spotless / clean.

Saw the offering on Facebook for a Sunday Brunch. Today Polish theme. An extremely upscale campground. Grounds are impeccable. Parking and staff friendly and inviting. The food.... Pure Rave. Delicate balances and abundant. A monthly offering on the 2nd Sunday of the month. Themes change. We will return (perhaps monthly)

Camp Aramoni is an upscale newly created campground that offers a unique "glamping" experience with all the amenities you need! The durable tents are on stilts and are the same type used in Africa. Each tent has a living room, bedroom, large bathroom with indoor plumbing, built in AC and heating depending on the season and a deck to relax on. All upscale amenities are provided in your tent. My husband and I had a really nice time here and the staff took care of everything for us. The breakfasts and dinners are included as well. There is a nearby river to go swimming or have a picnic and walking trails to enjoy. Close by is Starved Rock state park and a couple little towns that you can venture out to discover during the day. Great getaway for couples and families. We'd like to go back in the fall.

Really enjoyable experience here with my family. High quality glamping, for sure. The property is really nice and you have plenty of space to go out and explore the trails and appreciate some peace and quiet. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious and well thought out dishes. I would say the friendly staff was probably the most impressive part of this establishment. We met both the husband and wife owners at different points in our stay(and they were super nice), but it was the young people that welcomed us that really hit a home run. The young ladies that checked us in and provided the initial tent tour later served us dinner and lit our campfire. They were super courteous and hardworking at the same time. The staff shares the passion of the owners to provide the highest level of service. A wonderful small business that IMHO deserves to thrive and grow. Keep up the great work, guys! It's difficult to capture the "feeling" of a place, but these photos are an attempt to do that....

Camp Aramoni was a great get away from the city life. We traveled here for two days, and absolutely enjoyed every moment of our stay. The scenery was beautiful, the staff was helpful and accommodating, and the food was delicious ( the breakfast biscuits, bourbon molasses French toast, and the bison burgers). Although we planned our trip for their last week of camping season, and the cold weather was beginning to set in, we had no issues keeping warm in our tent. We look forward to returning back to Camp Aramoni again!

    Relaxing outside my "tent."

This has been the perfect getaway! I am so glad to have this glamping gem in the Midwest. The service is amazing. The food is excellent. The overall ambience and beautiful style of everything is perfect. There are trails, board games, gourmet s'mores and lots of fun camping essentials. I highly recommend this experience.

Ask the Community - Camp Aramoni

Can you bring food and drinks?

Yes! We just ask that you do not bring these items into the communal areas. Your room is furnished with a mini fridge.

Is air fan in these tents and heaters?

Yes it's an AC unit and heater. Cools the whole tent like ice in summer when we went and heats in fall/winter.

Also, we ordered a charcuterie board for one afternoon and they set it up on the table in our tent and it was impressive.

Damn place has too many selections that are not really selections because everything tasted so good…read moreI had to stop tasting or I would have had to buy them out and my credit card only allows so much before it reports me to my wife. I do NOT like bourbon. Yet, somehow, tasting theirs made me decide that it is just some bourbons I don't like. And may I also add, that I do not like rum as a sipping drink, it only belongs in a coke as a teenager. Their rum (specifically the navy strength rum) holy cow, a perfect sipping "whiskey." NOW, I come to the liquors I like, nay love, as life itself. Scotch whiskey...... they don't make it..... ok then my other favorite nectar of the gods, TEQUILA.... Specifically repasado or anejo. In this case, theirs is called "rested tequila." It is sweet for tequila, but only for "unsweetened tequila" meaning no added BS or sugar (which surprisingly some big labels use.) it has a profile similar but BETTER and less sweet than Casamigos repasado. It is really VERY good, not astringent and deceptively smooth so that it could be dangerous, time will tell. This place is worth a 20-30 mile detour to check out their tasting room and cave like atmosphere. It is a shame we were not at this place 40 years ago when I could have lit up a cigar. Oh well.

We stayed for 2 nights before Christmas Eve. First of all the pros. Every staff member or server we…read moreinteracted with were exceptional. Check in was easy. There is a choice of 3 places to eat in the main lodge, although the café does close at 5 p.m. in the winter, which still leaves 2 choices available. But it's very nice to be able to park your car and leave it for the duration instead of braving winter weather. Sandwiches and burgers are pricey; the main dining room entrees for dinner are about what one would expect pricewise.* The atmosphere is very rustic and the public areas were beautifully decorated for the holidays which lent a very festive touch. The roaring fire in the Great Room is a huge hit with plenty of seating areas. The dining room fireplace is also beautiful. There were several jigsaw puzzles out on the tables, but the games that were advertised as being available were nowhere in sight. *On our first night in the main dining room my husband ordered the 1/2 duck. He loves duck. It was very over cooked and dry, so much so that he had to leave 1/2 of it since he couldn't even cut it. One should also be aware that dinners do not come with salads, which we are accustomed to. My bourbon pecan glazed salmon was out of this world good as was the chicken picatta the next night. The cons. As the website and brochures fully explain, this is an OLD hotel. And it shows signs of it's age. Public restrooms had lots of rust and just not the crispy clean I like to see in a stay away from home. The rooms were nice and the pillows were actually soft, but again, signs of aging are evident in the tub, vanity, etc. Shampoo and soap/shower gel are provided, but there aren't the usual amenities like plastic or even glass glasses. Just some Styrofoam coffee cups. We were able to ask for some plastic cups at the front desk. No makeup wipes, hand lotions, hair conditioner, etc. AND, the bathrooms in the rooms are not heated nor do they have bath fans to take away the steam. And as already stated, it's not crispy new and clean. I think of importance to note is that if someone in your party uses a walker or cane, or has trouble with balance, the areas that have the natural stone floors, although beautiful to look at, are extremely uneven and would be extra tricky. I know my elderly friends could not have navigated it without help. This includes the main lobby and an area near the Great Room and main dining room. We chose a special winter price that included two $15 vouchers towards breakfast, which ends at 10:30 a.m. I would much more appreciate a $15 voucher per day that could be used at any time of the day for food. Some people are not breakfast eaters. And others, like myself, have insomnia, so if you don't get to sleep until 4 a.m., it's a given that I'm not going to be ready to eat a breakfast by 10:30. What's the big deal? Food is food, and allowing a voucher to be used at the guest's desired time would be a much greater value. So we were not able to take advantage of essentially $30 of free food. We were truly looking forward to just a completely chill out afternoon, sitting by the fireplace to read or people watch, enjoying a glass of wine or coffee. Unfortunately the Great Room doesn't always live up to its "great" expectations. A group of approximately 25-30 people including MANY children took over one corner of the Great Room. The children (and parents) decided it was OK to let their children run ragged in the attached private space (which is blocked off on the front end stating it was a private event area) screaming and screeching their shoes, and running up and down the hallways. I even heard one of the moms say, "OK, let's go run again." So much for peace and quiet. I had a woman stop me in an adjacent hallway to tell me that we were raised to have respect when we were young, and children and young adults these days have none. She reported almost being run over on the stairs and had to step aside to let the naughty children continue running down the hall as parents remained oblivious. Other couples came to sit down for a minute, and after observing what was going on shook their heads and left. So much for peace and serenity. I did note the day before that a family had rented a private room for a get together, and that seems like it should be the norm if you truly want the rest of your guests to enjoy their time. A bit later when my husband made a trip to the restroom down the hallway, he overheard someone arguing with staff about a complaint received and being told "this was their Christmas." Well, it was everybody else's Christmas too. The children weren't at a gymnasium and it really soured our experience. If your children are taught that it's OK to behave that way, then they should have probably chosen a more kid-friendly venue where running and screaming is acceptable. Overall, would we go back? I'm not sure. I love rustic and I loved the cozy ambiance. But I also like sparkly clean.

I walked into the dining area to pick up since getting a bartender to acknowledge me was fruitless. I told the waitress my name after waiting nearly 10 minutes and she rudely told me to go pick it up at the bar. I told her I ordered online and already paid so she told me to hang on. Another good 5 minutes goes by and a different waitress brings me a pizza and 1 Styrofoam container. I checked it and told her it was supposed to come with a salad. She rolled her eyes and finally ended up bringing it out. Well, the battered fish was doughy so I only ate the actual fish. They have certainly lost my business.
