If you are considering Cammarata "Management", you might want to consider running as fast as you can in the opposite direction. The owner/manager is great at taking money for their "services", and increasing the costs of their "services" without having really provided such. The owner makes certain that the board (most likely consisting of elderly and un-informed victims) follows his impulses to have "his contractors" do the job. When requests were finally made for multiple bids, it was strange that he insisted (on a group call) giving "his guy" another chance to change his price. The point of gaining multiple bids is to secure the best candidate at the best price. Cammarata then brought back a revised the bid to be $1.00 less than what should have been the winning bid. When it comes to needing help to resolve an issue that is within the community, he rarely responds to his clients. He is haughty, arrogant and condescending and I would not consider using this company ever. P.S. I feel sorry for those who have entrusted their homes to this company. Most of the reviews here have been pretty accurate and true to what our community went through before a new Board finally fired Cammarata. read more

They don't answer email, they don't answer phone calls, even when they do, they just tell you to send an email, and continue ignoring you. If you ask for someone, they are either on vacation or sick leave, and not able to pick up the phone call for AN YEAR! read more

Completely unresponsive to residents. We've literally wrote him numerous emails and went to his office on multiple occasions to get him to respond and handle our questions, and he's not responded to anything. On top of that, he charges our HOA $1800 a year for PHYSICAL records storage. No option for digital. What is this, 1980? Our small community generates about 8 documents a month total that need to be stored, from vendor invoices. This obscene amount for 8 documents a month feels like a scam to hide how much he's really making from us. He's literally a vendor that collects money and does not do what required of him. I'll be contacting some government agencies about this company. Stay away!! read more

Its always something with these people nothing ever gets fixed correctly they use the worse, cheapest, and unskilled plumbers, and contractors. The roof needs to be done every couple.of years and they sweep their duties under special assessments and make tenants pay above what they should because of their bullshit short Cummings. Its always something here you never get to relax it's either the fire alarm scaring our pets and disturbing us or something else doesn't work or we have to pay for another repair. I can't wait to see this shit and get away from this blood and money aucking management company that's supposed to open because it's 930 in the morning but they aren't answering the phone but thr open at 9. Clown shit read more

Literally the worst. Do hire this company. Idk where the 5 stars are coming from, must be friends and family. I moved into a condo managed by this firm, and they have been extremely unprofessional. I urge yall to read the bad reviews and do some pattern recognition. Yes - they actually do write snotty emails and give you a hard time, when in fact we are paying them hundreds of dollars per month to maintain a good community. No - they do not answer my emails and calls when I need help. Such as when the gate is broken (looks like a burglar ripped it apart), and after I emailed them 10x regarding noisy dog barking. I heard from tenants that a while ago the funds were poorly managed. It's your stereotypical story of poor management and people bullying you if you try to be nice. Such a bad experience. read more

As a realtor it's very seldom you come across a management company like this one...especially one where you want to take the time to write a review, that's how great of an experience I have received and continue to receive. Steve, Jessica, Megan and the team have gone above and beyond. Their customer service, knowledge, and communication is exceptional. From the moment I called them, they were incredibly responsive and had such a great demeanor. They were able to get us the necessary documents on the same day and communicated with us throughout the process to ensure that everyone was on the same page. Not only that, but they try to work and collaborate with you so you can solve any issues, big or small together and find a resolution so everyone has the best possible outcome. From my experiences with other companies, trying to get an update, or a response back can be tedious and stressful, but they try to get back to you as quickly as possible and in a timely manner. When I say they're on top of it, they really are, and I'm constantly blown away at this remarkable team wishing there were more management companies like them out there. All I can say is that you are in great hands with them. Thank you so much Steve, Jessica, Megan and team for the amazing service that you have provided and continue to provide for my clients and I and everyone involved. Thank you so much! read more

30 plus years in the business. Congratulations. Cammarata Management has managed Piccadilly Manor in Lawndale for the entire 30 years plus, Steve was our property supervisor before starting his Company. His knowledge of HOA rules and regs + his continued education with new state laws assures our HOA of constant compliance. He and his company are honest and on top of issues that come up. He works with great contractors who do things right the first time. There are so many bad management companies out there who take advantage of properties and owners. Steve and Cammarata Management is not one of those. He has everyone's best interest in mind. You could not ask for a better organization. Keep it up for another 30 years....at least read more

Horrible management company and owner. The staff is meh. Don't do business here! Not recommended.

Can't say enough good things about Steve and his crew. They've taken care of our association's business for over 25 years. They are always there when we need them and do their professional best to take care of whatever issue we're confronting, from the complicated like insurance matters to getting us the contractors or service providers we need. The back office takes care of all our accounting matters flawlessly, with timely monthly reporting and managing the association's accounts. Steve keeps us informed about regulations affecting the HOA and doesn't hesitate to come on site to make sure work is being done according to contract specifications. He's helped shepherd the association through some difficult legal matters. With his budgeting skills, he's helped us keep our HOA fees to the same level for several years and fulfill all legal and insurance requirement year after year, thanks to his extensive contacts and leadership roles in professional associations. It helps that he is super conscientious and detail oriented, always attending our board meetings (in suit and tie, no less!) His office has been proactive in responding to the covid-19 situation both in keeping his office running safely and prepping our building to reduce the risks to the building's occupants. On top of that, he's a really nice guy, with good diplomatic skills and always focused on getting the job done right. We would be hard pressed to find better professional association management. read more

I don't even want to give 1 star. Worst customer service ever. I faxed paperwork on 7/8/13 and they didn't do anything about it until August 31? Who manages that way? WORST management company. They don't care about the homeowners. read more

These people are so incompetent a few months ago they took my HOA check and applied it to someone's else account and now they have deposited a check before the date that was actually on the check. Luckily I already had transferred the money over. Unreal how these people are in business. read more

Cammarata Management company is an excellent company. Everyone in the office and management team is very informative and helpful when you have an issue. If they don't have the answer for you when you contact them, they follow up and get you your problem fixed. Nothing is ever 100 percent when you're dealing with different contractors, fixing various aspects of your home with repairs, but what does matter is how a company handles the issue, and Cammarata gets the job done. read more

The cammarata team has done a great job of managing our building in Hermosa Beach, concerns have been addressed promptly and Emmy has given valuable support and insight to our board read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! I never leave any reviews on any website but I felt obligated to leave one here and google review. I needed to link my condo call box to my phone (simple right?). After 3 emails and 3 telephone calls, there's still no resolution. First, they simply do not answer their phone calls. When you leave a message, they never get back to me until you call again. When you send an email, they do not respond to it promptly. I simply don't understand how they stay in business. I speak with a person named Gloria. When I call her, she keeps saying that she will call a person to get this done, but after that, NOTHING. My next step is to take this to the board and strongly request that our condo change the management company. Cammarata Management needs to understand that what they're doing isn't just a poor customer service, but a scam! Shame on you! Update: I called again, spoke to Gloria, I rant, she transfers the call to Steve, Steve tells me the job will be done tomorrow. After one month, 3 emails, 4 calls, never receiving any email response or a single call back, it looks like they will be taking action. Poor service Cammarata!!! read more

Whoever wrote 5 star review about this management company either their friends or they were asked to do so. I usually don't write reviews. But I have a horrible experience with their team. Gloria was extremely rude, not responsive, start yelling at me at the end of our conversation. You ask about one specific thing, she responds back about something else, making you even more confused. She doesn't know anything-NOTHING, that's what she responded at the end. She needs to call to the president of the company for every single question. What is the reason to have an office staff, if president has to respond for all little questions???? I wouldn't give them any star if I could. read more

THE WORST!!! Don't EVER hire them on as your management company!! Run by a bunch of incompetent people who will make mistakes, not answer questions about your financials, overcharge you for everything, drain your reserves, let your delinquencies grow to exorbitant amounts, and then argue with you or hang up on you when you ask for answers. They do not follow up on things and behave very unprofessionally, in fact downright childish and vindictive when you finally part ways, either by termination or by them quitting because they can't answer your questions and don't want to be fired. read more

I have had the pleasure of working with a Property Manager from this company, Emmy Carrio. She is a true professional and everything you would want and expect from someone in that position. She is attentive, knowledgeable, reliable and has great follow through skills. She is well prepared and provides solutions to any issue or obstacle that every community will undoubtedly encounter. I highly recommend working with Emmy if the opportunity presents itself. She is a shining star in an industry that can be challenging at times to get the results you want. read more

Since the nightmare experience that spawned my initial review, I have had pleasant interactions with Emmy and the company as a whole. They have been great during the repair of multiple leaks discovered in my unit. I will continue to update this review as our relationship moves forward. read more

My husband and I are reside at the Estates for 18 years, so we see Cammarata management taking care of our community for a long time. They are real professionals. Emmy and her team not just handling all maintenance tasks (which is not easy on hillside developments), but giving individual attention to homeowners needs. Since we own properties in three other developments, we can compare managing companies, Cammarata Management stands out being the best! read more

No one ever calls a property management company to compliment, praise, or applaud their service. Property management companies get phone calls from persons that have problems, issues, and complaints with the property or their unit. As a real estate professional with many years of residential and commercial business experience I am well aware of the interactions between management companies and property owners. I have personally dealt with Cammarata Management both as a property owner, real estate professional, and as a HOA Board member and past and current HOA President. My experience is that ninety-five percent of all management company complaints are not valid, even though the property owner has a valid complaint. The usual bottleneck, slow to action, and uncaring attitude is at the HOA Board level. At our property it has taken a long time to take control from an uncaring very small minority whose primary goal was to defer maintenance. This is the case with most HOAs and management companies cannot act on most issues with out Board approval. Ms. Rhonda G. has a valid complaint regarding her pest infestation and it has been addressed to her current satisfaction with action taken by myself and the majority of the Board's approval. Recovery of her expenses, which is a valid request, is awaiting her scheduling a meeting with the Board which will meet at her convenience to hear her petition. I have no doubt it will be approved. My personal dealings with Cammarata Management for the most part have been positive. In cases where property owners have had a problem and they have made me aware of it, the problem was easily resolved and procedures and or rules changed when necessary. Make your HOA Board accountable for all things including the management of the management company. read more

Deadbeats complain but responsible property owners rejoice! Cammarata enforces parking rules, takes care of maintenance and keeps the property values maxed. The management fees are reasonable and the service is great! read more

I am so very underwhelmed by the caliber of work and complete lack of professionalism from this company. The townhomes where I live deferred maintenance on the roof for years. My building had holes in the roof and rats got into the attic. It took me a while to discover what that sound was overhead. During the day, they would migrate to the patio, where I finally saw them. I called Cammarata Mismanagement to alert them and the receptionist laughed at me. I eventually got a letter from the owner of Cammarata Management saying it was the responsibility of owners to set traps for the "mice." Dammit. They were Norweigian roof rats. They came from the roof. I called a pest company to take care of the problem and replace the filthy insulation where the rats were nesting. I turned in my receipts to Cammarata Management and I never head anything. I am sure i will end up in small claims court on this. I should be fully compensated for the $1,800 I had to spend to fight the rats. The roof has been redone now, but the rats have not gone quietly. They have found other ways to enter the roof, where it is not reinforced. Meanwhile, Cammarata Management helps the incompetent homeowners association shuck and jive and marvel at the new roof--while rats still frequent the property. Awful, awful company. They should have developed a strategy to exterminate at the same time they replaced the roof. How can they be (stay) in business? Reprehensible. read more

They provided incorrect information for my property information inquiry. I'll up-rate them if future inquiries are handled properly.

Horrible customer service! Takes too long for a call back. Always uses the excuse "it's the homeowners responsibility to take care of the problem in the unit". I had my dryer serviced by two professional companies that told me the blockage was coming from the roof, and to contact my property manager to obtain permission to get access from the roof. After various emails/phone calls they finally recommend a company, after a verbal lecture of it being my responsibility (which wasn't my question to began with). The property manager, and their incompetent staff were going to allow me to have their recommended dryer company get on the roof with a verbal approval, until I had them send me a written approval to allow this company to get on the roof. Once I demanded that they then sent me an email saying it wasn't as simple as the company being able to go on the roof, but I now needed the company to provide some written liability certificate to send to the property management company to allow them to have access to the roof. Incompetent property Manager "Steve" (who acts like your bothering him when you call), yet he takes my HOA fees every month to manage this property. Millie who's also Incompetent in their business office cannot properly relay or communicate a message without it being miss interpreted; then calls you back on behalf of Steve with answers that don't pertain to the question you asked! I wouldn't give a star either if I didn't have to select one in order to write a review. read more
