They provided incorrect information for my property information inquiry. I'll up-rate them if future inquiries are handled properly.

There was one instance where they actually lost a check that was automatically mailed to them by our bank and they didn't tell us for 4 months--little awkward to get a phone call from the owner about why we didn't pay our rent due to their error. Never apologized for it, but whatever. Mistakes happen. 2) Got entire deposit back, minus $50 after living at the apartment for 2ish years. I feel like it was okay, although I do think we took SUCH good care of the place so I would have appreciated the full deposit back. I also had to bug them a couple times about it. 3) The building/apartment itself had a lot of issues...they couldn't really address them because the owner didn't want to. So that kind of sucked, but I can't hold that against them. Advice if you're a tenant here: 1) Send emails; keep everything in writing. Follow up. Be courteous and professional. Keep things documented just to cover your own butt.

Im a pretty handy person, but I was still very disappointed in the job they did. It was almost always a "band aid" solution and not spending actual money to just get it done right the first time. Even when the job was done, it wasnt very professional and nobody from the management company came to inspect any job being done, which if they saw in person, would not likely approve of. There were times where the job left the house in a mess, dust everywhere, and when provided evidence photos, they made us hire someone to clean it for something that wasnt even our fault. When heavy machinery was used ( always on for almost two weeks straight) and provided evidence of over $200 of electricity bill increases, they made me pay for it. The people in the office are nice, I just think they need to do a better job of the operational processes and spend money on decent workers to get the job done right the first time so people dont need to keep coming back. This was a nightmare, I would highly recommend not renting from this property.

I've spent 6 months trying to resolve a parking issue at one of JRealty's properties, and the…read moreexperience has been incredibly frustrating. Management admitted in writing that another tenant was given a second parking space in error on their lease. They also admitted they recommended removing that space because it was causing problems. The vehicle associated with this improperly assigned parking space occupies an area that is not identified as a parking spot on the parking map that was provided to me by management. Instead of being parked in a designated space, the vehicle extends into the common driving and maneuvering area tenants must use to access their assigned parking spaces causing daily risk damage to my vehicle. Whats even more revealing about this company is how the issue was handled! I repeatedly raised concerns that the parking arrangement could present code, safety, or fire access issues. Rather than addressing the problem directly, I was told management was waiting on city inspection results and that those results could affect the outcome. Months later, I was informed that the inspection they had me waiting for was actually a habitability inspection and that the specific parking location I had been complaining about was not one of the spaces that was evaluated. Think about that! I was led to believe the inspection would address my complaint, only to later find out that the disputed parking space had never been reviewed at all. I spent months waiting for inspection results that never actually addressed the parking issue at the center of the dispute. Even after admitting the parking space was assigned in error, admitting the situation was problematic, and acknowledging that the disputed space wasn't evaluated during the inspection, management still has not provided a meaningful solution. I have attached screenshots of the emails so people can read the correspondence and draw their own conclusions. Based on my experience, get everything in writing. Keep every email, save every photograph, and document every interaction. The only reason I was able to uncover the inconsistencies in management's explanations was because I maintained a complete paper trail. Without it, this would have been reduced to my word against theirs.

They also managed the property where I lived previously, and my experience with them there was equally positive. I have consistently found them to be attentive, responsive, and professional. Unfortunately, it's worth noting that reviews are often written primarily by disgruntled or unreasonable homeowners, which can give a misleading impression of the overall quality of a management company that, in reality, serves its communities well.

I rarely leave a one star review after a single bad interaction. This review is based on…read moreapproximately five years of dealing with Scott Management Company as the management company selected by our HOA. My experience has been remarkably consistent: dated processes, poor follow through, defensive communication and an approach to homeowners that too often feels adversarial rather than service oriented. The distinction matters because homeowners generally do not choose the management company. The HOA does. That creates an unusual relationship in which the people living with the consequences of the company's performance are not necessarily the people deciding whether the company keeps the contract. After five years, my impression is that Scott Management understands that dynamic very well. Routine communication can be unnecessarily difficult. Questions that should receive straightforward answers can instead produce curt or dismissive responses. Problems often require repeated follow up. And when something becomes complicated, the burden of keeping the matter moving has repeatedly felt as though it falls on the homeowner rather than the company being paid to manage it. My experience during a mold remediation issue was particularly revealing. When you're dealing with a problem affecting your home, you don't expect a property management company to perform miracles. You do expect organization, timely communication, competent coordination and some basic understanding that the person on the other end of the email is dealing with a problem in the place where they live. Instead, I repeatedly encountered communication that felt procedural, defensive and at times needlessly quippy. The experience reinforced a pattern I had already observed over years rather than feeling like an isolated failure. That's ultimately my problem with Scott Management. It isn't one dramatic incident. It's the accumulation of small administrative failures, unnecessary friction and an apparent lack of urgency that eventually tells you something about the culture of an organization. Property management is not simply collecting assessments, forwarding notices and explaining procedure. The actual product is stewardship. It is maintaining buildings, coordinating vendors, communicating with residents, keeping records, anticipating problems and making an inherently complicated relationship between homeowners and an association function better. In my experience, Scott Management too often adds friction to that relationship instead of removing it. I understand that a management company works at the direction of an association and its board and not every decision belongs to management. I'm therefore deliberately not blaming Scott Management for decisions outside its authority. I am reviewing the things a management company does control: responsiveness, organization, communication, professionalism, follow through and the way homeowners are treated when something goes wrong. I would not voluntarily choose this company to manage a property I owned and if I were serving on a board evaluating management companies, I would strongly recommend doing extensive due diligence before hiring them. The most concerning thing isn't that mistakes happen. Every organization makes mistakes. It's how difficult this company can make it to get from the mistake to the solution.

On March 21, 2026, my downstairs neighbor experienced another ceiling leak--similar to an incident that occurred in May 2025. During the previous incident, Classic Property Management relied on a visual inspection from their plumber and concluded--without clear, conclusive evidence--that the source originated from my unit. As a result, I was held financially responsible and paid approximately $5,000 out of pocket for repairs to my neighbor's bathroom. Unfortunately, history appears to be repeating itself. Once again, Classic Property Management and an on-site HOA representative have pointed blame toward my unit without providing objective, verifiable proof of the source of the issue. To protect myself, I independently hired a licensed plumber, who found no leaks or plumbing failures in my unit. As a homeowner of less than two years at Pine Creek, this experience has been incredibly stressful and disappointing. The lack of thorough investigation, coordination, and accountability from property management has made this situation feel unfair and unresolved. I strongly encourage others to proceed with caution and ensure that any claims of liability are backed by proper, evidence-based assessments.
