I give it it the 5 stars for the following: -customer service -architecture -relaxing environment -Food There are a couple things I have to mention as when you book this resort you must be aware of where you are staying. This is Las Hadas, an aged resort with character (Santorini in Mexico) Do not expect to see modern flawless rooms where there is not one defect, the rooms have aged, however, that does not take away from the cleanliness of the room and the quality of all other services. You can expect a relaxing environment, this is not a place you want to stay if you are trying to have a fun and rowdy stay. The resort has a buffet restaurant, two reservation restaurants and one seafood restaurant. I highly recommend to make reservation for the more prestigious restaurants. They do have a spa area where the staff is awesome. All in all, this is a very nice resort. The service and architecture keeps me coming back.

The floor flooded every time I showered. The shower handle sprayed water everywhere because the nut wasn't properly secured. Metal fixtures were rusted. The bathroom constantly smelled like urine because there are sewer drains in it. The elevator doors don't have sensors, so they slam shut on you. The on-site store looks like a food pantry. Room service is genuinely worse than airplane food. I ordered multiple items throughout the week to give it a fair shot, and some of it made frozen Costco pizza seem gourmet. On the last night, room service left a tray of dirty dishes and unfinished food outside my door overnight. A lemur was eating out of it. They also left an extra ironing board in the middle of my room. Laundry instructions were unclear: it said anything picked up before 11 a.m. would be returned by 6 p.m., but they didn't pick mine up until 3 p.m., even though I made it available at 9 a.m. Now I have to figure out how to get my laundry before checkout tomorrow. Also worth noting: getting here is not easy. This is definitely not Manzanillo. It's not near Manzanillo and not easily accessible unless you have a car--which, thankfully, I did. And honestly, the town of Manzanillo itself isn't very charming. Save your money and go to Puerto Vallarta or Cancún.

The agent on the phone was very impatient and rude . She spelled my name wrong despite me spell it out out for her multiple times. She also refused to stay on the line when I informed her I wasn't receiving the confirmation. She stated "I can't stay on the line because there's other people I need to help". I ended up calling back after not receiving the confirmation and another agent corrected the spelling on the email address and I finally received the confirmation however she never changed my name on the booking so I had a hard time during check in. Stay: They assigned me to a nice clean room and my grandparents to a smelly old room with a broken back door, smudged bathroom mirrors, and no working remote control. I called and they came to bring batteries and fix the back door but left the mirrors dirty. The room had bugs like cockroaches and even a tiny little crab. We stayed here for 5 nights. My room had a bracelet to enter while my grandparents room was a key card. On our third day there they decided to change the lock on my grandparents room and make it into a bracelet entry without telling us. We came back from lunch and were not able to enter the room. I called the front desk and they said we had to walk to them to get the bracelets. I found this extremely disrespectful and inconsiderate. Zero customer service skills. Why not wait and do it in between guest ? Why in the middle of our stay? Why not let us know ahead of time? Why not bring the bracelets to us? My grandparents are wheelchair bound and they didn't care or take that into consideration. Who locks their guest out of the room in the middle of their stay ? At checkout the front desk wanted to charge us $40 for each missing pool towel card . The cards were in the room but they insisted we go get them. Very annoying after everything else we had to deal with. No valet service, no streamlined reservation system for restaurants. The food from the buffet upset our stomachs by the third day. The front desk staff and booking staff need more training. They also need better food . The buffet, pool and bar staff were all friendly and helpful . The location and views are beautiful but I will not return after spending so much money just to be consistently inconvenienced.

Every time we have expressed to the ownership our dissatisfaction about it, their response has been "we will take your suggestion to get some lawn chairs into consideration."
