Be careful the big pothole right in the parking lot at the entrance definitely looks like it's been there a while. How do you miss this? I've known about this place ever since high school as it is a local icon in the 24/7 deli niche. It was a little bit further for me than Rocky's so it took a back seat. I recently noticed it popped up on uber eats and took the opportunity to introduce it to GF without stepping a foot outside our door. They have the standard deli sandwiches and breakfast shit. I was grateful for the vegetarian options and ordered the eggplanter with breaded eggplant, roasted red peppers, cheese, and lettuce from what I can recall. This was very tasty and a unique offering. My only criticism was that the peppers were really soft and kind of disintegrating so left something to be desired in the texture department. GF ordered the portobello grove sandwich with portobello mushrooms, mozzarella, and the above mentioned disintegrating peppers. "It was ok. Not like amazing". Is her review. She also ordered curly fries which i had the pleasure to sample and they were very good but a little soggy if memory serves. Where does one go to eat after getting in to Westchester airport at midnight? With most restaurants closed , we ended up at Cameron's. Open 24-7, Cameron's is a combo deli, grocery, convenience, & liquor store. Even at midnight, sandwiches were made to order. It was too late for me to eat, but husband and son enjoyed their Tuscany sandwiches. There were a couple of small tables for dining, but this is definitely more of a take out place. I have only gotten the cluck Russian , which is very delicious! Not much chicken inside this 13.00$ "grinder or hero" depending on where you're from! As you can see inside my picture, I had tons of bread and no chicken to cover. The chicken was as thin as a 50 Cent piece, & only wide enough to cover 1/2 the bread!! I really wanted to go back and complain. Seeing that I was in a whole different state, that wasn't gonna happen! But certainly very disappointing. I will say if you order ahead it'll save you time from standing & pacing the store, waiting for them to make your order!! They speak Spanish, so it's kind of hard for them to understand you, & you to understand them! But no worries with patience it can get done! At 8:45am I gave my order to a young woman and spent 25 minutes waiting for a muffin and a wrap. I handed what she indicated was a bran muffin directly to her. I understood that there was an obvious language barrier. I asked her to repeat the order back, corrected it twice and hoped for the best. After 10 minutes I went to check on the order and it wasn't being prepared at all. I waited another 10 minutes and received a chocolate chip muffin and no wrap. I had a bad feeling so I checked the muffin before exiting the store. I then approached the counter and they sent a man out with a better command of the language and he simply kept repeating "it's okay, it's okay." I ordered a blueberry muffin and waited 7 minutes for it to be done. I gave up on the wrap. There were 8 people behind the counter (none were in the front when I entered.) I'm guessing everyone was working on "to go" orders. I don't frequent the deli, but do not remember an experience like this on my last visit. This deli is known for 24 hour access and a fav for late night munchies. For us, it's a place we pass on the way to Connecticut on Route 35. It is also the first place my family encountered the Cluckin Russian, which is probably my daughter's favorite sandwich. I must admit they do deliver on this concoction- perfectly fried chicken cutlets, melted Muenster cheese, crisp bacon and, of course, Russian dressing. So driving by close to lunchtime, was a natural reflex to call my daughter to see if lunch was an option... "Penny-Wise and Dollar-Foolish" I have been a customer of Cameron's for about twenty-five years. For most of that time, I was a huge fan and would rave about it. In that time, I have seen both positive and negative changes. The new renovations and expansions have made the once-narrow deli much nicer in terms of space, variety and ambiance. Much of the food continues to be quite good (great macaroni salad). Unfortunately, what prompts me to write this review is a deceptive business practice that I have repeatedly experienced as well as spotty service. One of the "hallmarks" of Cameron's is their "rare" roast beef, which they now proudly display for all to see front and center where customers order sandwiches on its own stand. On *at least* four occasions in the last year (most recently this past weekend), I have ordered roast beef sandwiches when I was told and/or shown rare roast beef, only to find that my order was CLEARLY made with a different cut of roast beef after I returned home and opened the sandwich. It would be bad enough if Cameron's personnel substituted a hidden and sub-par roast beef for sandwiches when a customer didn't say anything; however, when a customer specifically requests rare roast beef, this practice is even worse. It is disrespectful and deceitful. I get it. You don't want to throw out the old and more well-done roast beef ends. Well, here are a few suggestions: i) save them for people who like well-done roast beef; ii) incorporate them into cooked food dishes; and/or iii) at a minimum, put a few slices of the less prime roast beef in with mostly new and rare cuts. I have also noticed that the quality of the service, particularly during the lunch hour on weekends has become less reliable. I understand that you are busy, but listen to what a customer orders, make sure you have the whole order, and make sure you have it right. Don't move so quickly that you get the order wrong- especially on your own specialty sandwiches that you should know how to make. If a sandwich calls for cheddar cheese, don't use American. I have also noticed that the amount of cold cuts on sandwiches has dropped considerably while prices have simultaneously risen. I have not complained about price, because I understand that the service industry continues to struggle with labor shortages and inflation has vastly increased the cost of goods. So you've raised your prices. Fine. But don't raise your prices and make an anemic sandwich. I don't mind having to pay a little more, but make the venture worthwhile. You might make 9,000 sandwiches per day, Cameron's but your customers generally eat at most 1 per day- make it a good experience. Do better. read more

We went into the deli about 1:40pm on a Sunday. It was fairly busy. There were lots of people standing around waiting, which should have been a red flag. We stood at the sign by the counter that said "order here", for several minutes until someone came over to take our order. We ordered a sandwich, chicken tenders, and fries. We waited 45 minutes for our order to be ready. The employees don't care and are difficult to understand. I would have just left after waiting 30 minutes but I had already paid and my daughter was really hungry. After all that, the food wasn't good, no flavor at all. Went inside and it took about 10 minutes before someone asked us what we wanted to order because they don't have a specific person working the front counter. There were about 4 people in front of us, all had already ordered their meals and were waiting. After we ordered, someone else came in and was standing around for about 10 minutes before they were helped too. We ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches (BEC with eggs over medium) & cheese fries to share. It took another 20 minutes after we finally ordered to get our food. The eggs were under-cooked and we both ended up with yolk all over our shirts when we took our first bites. It seemed like there was one slice or one half of a slice of cheese on each of our sandwiches and 2 slices of bacon on each. No salt or pepper. The saddest, messiest, most tasteless breakfast sandwich I've had in a while. Giving 2 stars because the cheese fries were good but they were also missing salt and pepper. I'd recommend having a specific person working the front who can take all orders and greet customers as they walk in and out. Also, please please season everything unless asked otherwise. Camerons has some good food and its a local staple of my town. However in the last 2-3 years this place has gone almost straight downhill. Cost of food is up up up. Portions are smaller. Sandwiches are using half the meat while price goes up $2-$3 a sandwich. Theres no consistency, certain cashiers ring things up however they want, theres constantly new people working and they dont know whats going on. Its a shame what it has become because it used to be awesome and cheap. Update: this place continues to be more of a failure. Just went again for a breakfast sandwich. A bacon, egg, and cheese on a WEDGE. The box comes with a big bold "W" on it but inside is a a dinky little roll. When I ask to have it replaced, I am told I needed to pay $1.78 more. When I told them they already charged me for it they told me that "W" stands for "white American" cheese. Been coming here 20 years; and "W" has NEVER meant anything but wedge, not to mention you screw up the order then want to worry about the extra $1.78?! This place has become a joke at best. My wife works at the hospital close by amd went to order a whole wheat blt with extra bacon. The initial sandwich did not have extra bacon that was umdercooked. The service at this place is terrible. A serious flaw is that they don't sell bread. They sell cold cuts but no bread. The employees' attitude is unpleasant. I asked for the wifi password, thinking it would be a nice place to have coffee and browse the internet. The first employee told me they didn't know it and didn't even attempt to ask someone else.
