Confirming the infection, she scheduled me for an apicoectomy. She said the root canal done by my family Dentist was very well done, and not the cause. I had the procedure on July 14. My biggest fear was possibly losing the tooth, as damage to the canal itself doesn't show on xrays. Ive had cleanings that were more painful! Dr. Kilislian is fantastic!! Very thorough explanation of the entire procedure before beginning, and before each step done. Continually asking if I was doing OK. A firm but gentle touch. I was so relieved when she said the tooth could be saved. The procedure, beginning with numbing the area before the freezing, to the final sutures took less than an hour. The post operative instructions are clear, and easy to understand. You are in very, very very good hands at Kawartha Endodontics. 100% recommend!!

It was through Dr. Cole that I found out my old dentist was not taking care of my teeth (he not only showed me pictures - it was obvious even to the untrained eye - but I warned my Mom, who used the same bad dentist, and another dentist said she had the same problems with her teeth; this is a genuine criticism, not him trying to drum up business). He not only fixed my teeth, but was gentle with the violation I felt from the discovery of my old dentist's lack of care. He helped me with the extreme costs that I was now going to incur and found a balance between fixing as much as possible at once versus giving my jaw a rest from so much work. He also prescribed a (over-the-counter) treatment to prevent the migraines I was getting from having my jaw open and the spotlights; I still follow his advice before treatments with my new dentist. Honestly, if I hadn't moved out of town, I never would have left! I have a false tooth in my front and he matched it so perfectly to my natural teeth when he replaced it. He has the best eye I have ever seen. I joke with my friends that, next time I need my fake tooth maintained, I am travelling out to see him. If my financial situation allowed a vacation, I would actually do it. He is talented and genuine in his concern for you. Overall, just a great dentist. He surrounds himself with great staff as well.

The assistants and hygienists are cheerful and friendly and careful to explain exactly what they are going to do and what the patient should be concerned about. Dr. Giuliani himself (and the other dentists when I have been treated by them) are gentle, caring and use virtually pain free procedures. All treatments are explained, along with their pros and cons. I never feel like I am being pressured. This is as good as it gets in terms of dental treatments.

Given that she's very afraid of going to the doctor, I expected that things would be extremely difficult for a trip to the dentist. However, thanks to the friendly staff, a "treasure chest" of goodies at the door (for good girls only of course), and the chair-side manor (very friendly and open demeanor) of Dr. Crawford, my daughter got through a cleaning like a champ.
