Bought 2 pairs of glasses...eyeglasses and a pair of sunglasses, totaling $1749.00, The timeframe to receive was 10 to 14 days. At 14 days, I went into the store and the glasses were in. Upon fitting and adjusting the eyeglass frames, one of the arms broke in half. The sunglasses had the wrong tint. The salesclerk told me I could take the sunglasses home and wear them until the new lenses came in. She said she was putting a rush on the order. After 2 weeks, neither the new frames or the lenses had arrived. Upon examining the frames of the sunglasses, I became aware that they were not the colour that I ordered. I tried on, ordered, and paid for black. What they sent was tortoise shell with a bit of black. So, wrong tints and wrong lenses. After all of this, they said that the eyeglass frames are on back order. I paid by debit, which is instant payment. I was informed that if I wanted a refund, it would have to be by cheque. Of course, the bank will put a hold on their cheque of probably 2 weeks. So, they have had my $1749.00 for over a month, and I have nothing. Furthermore, I will have to wait another couple of weeks for their cheque to clear. Purchasers beware. I expected better from this retailer. Disgraceful customer service. I was looking to get a pair of reading glasses because i had gotten Lasik eye surgery a year ago and was now having difficulty seeing up close. So i made An appointment with Nelms to get an eye check up for my near sightedness when I came to the appointment the doctor tested me the standard tests and now wanted to do the eye drops but i declined as im to sensitive to the light. The doctor told me that I had 20/20 vision which I knew already because I had just had corrective surgery and that I was only there to get something to help me with reading up close because I repair cellphones and I need to read very small print on electronic parts The doctor told me that I had astigmatism would be able to correct it with a prescription lense but i woul have to wear them all the time .. i told him i didn't want to have to wear glasses as i had been my entire life. My only reason was to get my near sighting corrected so he suggested either a bifocal or another lens called progression and that they would be ready in a few days.When I came back I tried the glasses on they looked nice I put them back in the case and the next day when I put them on to try and read the label on a charger I couldn't see anything I couldn't read I took off the glasses and I could actually see better than when I had them on so I went back to nelms and explain to them what the issue was they tried to tell me that this is what I asked for and that I wanted to wear glasses all the time and I had to tell them again that I had laser surgery a year before I've been wearing glasses for 35 years and I do not want to wear them any longer I would not come back a year later after paying $7000 to get my laser surgery done in Turkey Istanbul just to have to come back and pay another $300 a year later and wear glasses 247. They told me that my glasses were to correct my astigmatism, but that wasn't necessary and that wasn't what I came in for that's just something that they sold to me that I said that I thought sounded like a good idea or might be able to help me now because of their recommendation I wasn't able to wear the progressions when they put the new prescription in and they also never tested my near sightedness so when I got the new glasses not only did they irritate my eyes every time I wore them and I couldn't wear them for more than an hour before I had to take them off but they want the proper prescription for my near sightedness and I went back again and they told me that they had tested it and that was in my prescription but I remember the doctor never trying to test my near vision sightedness so the woman kept trying to gaslight me and tell me that this is how things were and it was going to take up to 2 months for the progressions to be adjusted and I didn't believe her I went to get a second opinion and they said it shouldn't take any more than 2 weeks so I went back to the opticians again and then the woman start into trying putting words in my mouth and being very disrespectful and I told her that I didn't even want to deal with them anymore after the way that she had treated me I was very uncomfortable and had alot anxiety from her staring at me with this glare of contempt.I told her that I wanted her to refund the money. She implied that I was asking for a refund personally when I knew very well that it was covered by my insurance and I'm not entitled to that money and I clarified that to her that that's not what I asked for that I needed the refund so that I could go elsewhere and get lenses for my glasses then when I asked her for a letter to state what was going on so I can submitted to my insurance company she put in the letter that I had asked the money be refunded personally to me which is not the case and I clarified that with her right in the store so the fact that she put that in the letter is completely slanderous and makes her liable for defamation and I'm pursuing that right now read more
