The only reason I even give one star is because it is required to leave a review. I should've known this was a bad idea when I pulled up and the office looked like it hadn't been maintained since the 80's. If the outside appearance wasn't a sign of what was to come, the fact that the employees arrived at work at 8am (my scheduled appointment time), should've been. I signed in and immediately was asked to pay $100 up front .. with the way my tooth is feeling, I probably would've offered my left arm for some relief, so I obliged. I was taken to the back and the doctor came in & said he needed an X-Ray. A ONE VIEW XRay was performed, and the doctor looked at my tooth and said "Well it definitely needs to come out". (WELL, DUH!) At this point he says, "We can do that if you have ANOTHER $160 TODAY!" (Mind you, I chose this office b/c the local health dept said they could work with me financially.) Since I was unable to pay the extra $160 at that moment, I was told there was nothing they could do, that they would give me my prescription and I could be on my way. Baffled that I paid $100 for not even 10 minutes of their time, I brought up my concerns (I am a young, single mother, no dental insurance). This is when the office manager started getting rude with me. I was made to wait at the front counter for my prescriptions. The whole time I was waiting, I could overhear the office manager and another staff member talking about me! When the office manager came to the window, she rudely tossed my prescriptions at me and told me I COULD FIND ANOTHER DENTIST! (Which didn't need stating, because you couldn't pay me enough to go back to that unkept, nasty, outdated, unprofessional office!) They charged me $100 to state what I ALREADY KNEW & I left in pain and even more frustrated than when I arrived. I had high hopes, and even after all the bad reviews, decided to give this office a chance! NEVER AGAIN!!! read more
