Based off their rousing endorsement we decided to talk to them and instantly clicked with them. In preparing for a wedding there are a billion little things and vendors to deal with but our contracting with Mike and Jess was flawless and completely stressfree. They maintain an incredible balance of fun and professionalism throughout! Our reception couldn't have been more amazing. EVERYONE was commenting on how amazing our DJ's were. We provided the list to the contact person, but our selections were completely ignored. In fact, they didn't even play the song (Air on the G String, pretty standard fare) I had chosen for my bridal party to walk down the aisle to. I don't even know the song they actually played. Every time I hear A on the G String, I'm brought back to that moment and I am annoyed. They played the theme to Super Mario Brothers during my cocktail hour. Cute? Kind of. Not on my list though, and not what I wanted to hear. The played a lot of classical musical. (Also not on my list.) I wanted to hear Stairway to Heaven and Dave Matthews Band, which is why I spent so much money on a string quartet instead of hiring a group of college students. Additionally, after the ceremony they were to go to the reception location and being playing there. When I walked into my cocktail hour, their instruments were sitting by their chairs, but they were not to be seen. I said something to my dad and he mentioned he saw one down at the hotel internet cafe on the computer. What?! Seriously?! My father went down and got him. His response? "Oh, we didn't know we were supposed to play as people were entering." Like I said, my guests loved the quartet, but they didn't pay for something they didn't get. If I could go back, I would save $900 and hire the college students.

Isthmus DJs was the easiest vendor to work with when my husband and I were planning our wedding. Our DJ Tien was a tremendous help throughout the entire process, from providing song check lists during the planning stages, to setting up back lighting for our wedding reception, to the music that was played throughout the night. I have been to many weddings, and there were more people on the dance floor the entire evening than I have EVER seen before. The music selection was an amazing mix of 90s music mixed with today's pop music. We also requested some ethnic music (Bollywood/Hindi and Hmong/Thai music), and Tien was able to accommodate all our requests. Tien played such awesome music that our wedding guests didn't want to leave the party! The uplighting also created the perfect ambience that we were hoping for, and the venue turned out even better than we had imagined. Tien and his team were friendly and professional, and so kind to take song requests from many of our guests. At the end of the night, they were able to quickly pack up and exit the building in time for closing. On another note, we misplaced a few items during the reception, and Tien contacted us early in the morning to let us know that he was in possession of some lost and found items. He was so helpful in every way imaginable. I DEFINITELY recommend Isthmus DJs for any type of event and only hope that I am lucky enough to use their services again in the future. She instantly put us at ease, asking thoughtful questions about our venue, special family members, and logistics of the ceremony. I thought I was fairly organized leading up to that point, but after our meeting I realized the benefits of working with a professional coordinator like Martha! Planning from afar was easy with her as she utilized Google docs for sharing purposes and emailed just to check in. She contacted all of our vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding and attended our rehearsal the night before the wedding. Our family and friends loved Martha as much as we did! Martha is extremely organized and well prepared, as well as genuine and thoughtful. Unlike other Day-Of-Coordinators we had previously spoken with and considered, Martha truly cared about what OUR vision of the day looked like and respected our style and what was most important to us, rather than trying to change it to follow more mainstream or traditional ideas (as other coordinators had). She took the time to tour the wedding venue and meet with us on multiple occasions prior to our wedding in order to ensure that she clearly understood how we wanted the day to look and feel, all while offering thought-provoking questions and ideas along the way. I would love to write a review about a stay at the Inn, but I can't we never had the opportunity to…read morestay at the Inn. Let me tell you why. On April 3, I went to their site to make reservations.( We were going to a concert in Stoughton on the 11th of April and as part of our Anniversary celebration, we wanted to stay at a nice bed and breakfast. I was re-directed to another site and I went through the process of making a reservation for April 11th.( which also included making sure there was a room available ) including giving my credit card information. I thought it was a done deal. Then I received an e-mail stating that my reservation "request" had gone through and that I would receive a confirmation within 48 hrs and that if I didn't I should contact the Inn. After 48 hrs, I still hadn't received anything from the Inn, so I called. I only got an answering machine, so I left a message to please call me. The next day, still nothing from the inn, so I called and left another message. I began to panic that we weren't going to have anywhere to spend the night, but still, I waited for an e-mail or a call. The next day, I called and left ANOTHER message. Nothing. I left messages every day up until April 8 and there was still no word from the inn and nothing had been charged to my credit card so I assumed the reservation, for whatever reason, had not gone through. I searched the web once more for a b&b in or near Stoughton. The closest thing I could find was 20 miles away and much more expensive, I didn't have much of a choice but to take it. I received confirmation of my reservation of the new inn within 12 hours. All was well until April 10 ( the day before the concert ) I received an e-mail from the Naeset-Roe Inn, confirming my reservation, etc. I immediately got on the phone to the Naeset, but, guess what? No answer. I left a message to please call me and the reason I wanted a call-back. I wrote a detailed e-mail explaining why I no longer needed the reservations and how I had tried to contact them. I thought that was that. The following day, we left for our trip. After our weekend trip, I checked my home phone messages and I had a call from the Naeset, saying we were no shows, etc, etc. I immediately called...no answer. I left a message explaining everything and to call me. After about 10 minutes, we get a call. The inn keeper says that she never got any messages or e-mails from me and that she had called, but was never able to leave a message the whole week (we had received various other messages during the week) and that she had a strict cancellation policy and was going to charge us the entire price for the room. I explained that we had tried to call her all week and she said she was out of town the entire week ( contradicting what she had said earlier that she had tried to call us before ) How would a person have cancelled even if they had wanted to? By the way, was she out of town the previous weekend when I tried to call all that time? She had already told me that she was the only person that works at the inn. Was it closed all weekend and weekdays the previous week? We found out that no, it was not closed. We got our phone records and she had not tried to call us at all, except for the 11th when we were already in Stoughton. She did indeed charge my card for the full amount of the room, but then reversed half back. We have contacted our bank and are in the process of getting the other half back. I don't know what's going on at that inn, but I would just say, be careful that you don't end up like I did. I would never again attempt a stay here and I would give this place no stars if I could, just for the bad business practices. I cannot speak for the inn its self.
