I usually find my treasures on the clearance racks though, and I'm never disappointed by the selection there. I love this boutique and I'll keep returning as long as I live in North Carolina! Great job ladies :D

Are you looking for furniture? More specifically, are you looking for furniture for your beach…read morecottage? Then you're in LUCK. This place has the mother load of furniture decorated in every aquatic them you can imagine. No shit, I even saw a chair with crabs and seahorses. If you're thinking "cute!!", no, think again. While I'm not dissing this place by any means, I just wasn't stoked on the place as a whole. It's cute to walk through and they have a little bit of everything, but it's mostly just to decorate the amazingly tacky beach house you'd have if you bought stuff from here. They do have other things, glassware, used ugly shoes and handbags, some pretty dish sets, costume jewelry....the normal stuff you'd see in any consignment/thrift/antique store. I will say it beats the shit out of the competitors in the area. This other spot "Flea Mall", yeah, I shouldn't have wondered in to that place. It was freaking scary. No kidding, I had a rat run by my sandal clad foot when I almost shit my pants and ran strait back to my car. The huge refrigerator of chirping crickets didn't help it's cause and all I could think of was some scary scene from a Rob Zombie movie.

I stopped in on a weekday, just before lunch, and there were two knitters at the community table working on their projects, and I took this to mean people like hanging out at this store. The yarn selection was good and the owner talked me through some yarns I'd never heard of, mostly local dyers or yarn purveyors that are small and off my radar.

They let anyone and everyone come in and sit and knit, which is a great time to take in all the yarn candy in the shop. They are so friendly they helped my husband find a great birthday gift, a yarn hat kit, and he was proud to hand it to me. There is an eclectic group of people that come and knit, and some that come in, asking a plethora of questions, all answered btw, and buy their fibers there. In Swansboro does not mean far from beachers, tourists, and lovers of a short distance adventure from the beach. AND well worth the time to be with Peggy and Roxanne, and everyone that comes in. And don't check the faces, those knitters are knitting one of the wonderful yarns and pattern that both Peggy and Roxanne have helped them find to your liking. They mean business, SALTY SHEEP BUSINESS, and what great fun. Even if you don't knit or crochet, you will before you go! Find your beach or porch project and enjoy! Thank you Peggy.

It was very unassuming from the outside, but the interior told a different story.
