I will start with Camelot is a beautiful campground and if we didn't have fur babies we would definitely stay again! It was nice and quiet, though the roads are windy and sharp they guide you to your spot. However, we ARE pet parents and upon making reservation for a one night stay I did advise we have 2 aussies. The pet policy is insanly strict.... Don't let your dog pee on trees and bushes??? Really? There is a pet relief area in the very front of the park next to a busy road but wouldn't you know they park us in the very back of the park. NOT FOR PET LOVERS read more

We made reservations for one night before seeing the many negative reviews. I admit, I was concerned since we travel with 2 small dogs. I am pleased to report that our experience was 100% positive. The staff was friendly and helpful, the sites were level and access wasn't difficult like I was led to believe and the park is clean. It's a very scenic park with RVs nestled in among the trees. Granted, there wasn't a fenced pet area but there was a place for their potty break. The pet rules are the same as any RV park...a designated area for leashed pets and you must pick up after them. Nothing unreasonable or that I wouldn't do anyway. I absolutely would stay there again. As a side note...on another site this park has a four star rating. read more

Please know that the work campers were off when this happened. It was the owner's son. Too bad the owner's blamed us. We have now left due to owner's not backing us up when we try to enforce THEIR rules. Previous camper post: I agree with Gayle Huerter, don't come here if you have pets. THEY ARE NOT PET FRIENDLY. We got yelled at because one of our pups jumped out of our vehicle, just as we had pulled into our site. He caught us off guard. We are responsible pet owners and respect campground rules and caught him as soon as we realized he had jumped out. We wil NOT stay here ever again. Go find another park if you have fur babies. We also had a hard time maneuvering our 45' fifth wheel in and out of the park. Camelot RV Campground/RV Park (Owner) 2 days ago I spoke with the workcamper and she brought it to your attention that your dog had jumped out. We are pet friendly and I assume you used the pet area and picked up after them while you were here without any other issues. We have 45' units come in all the time and we instruct them to swing out in the turns. We do the best we can but the manufactures keep making them longer and longer. read more

Very nice campground. Lots of tall trees. The property is sculpted allowing very personal spaces. Clean and quiet. I'd give it 5 stars except the showers are not open due to Covid concerns and we need real shower :-) read more

Very nice rv Park! Cleanest well kept we have been at. Tall mature trees. WiFi and good cable. Clean showers and bathrooms. Great laundry room. Family run and the owners are outstanding and as nice as you would expect from the South. They have a huge area for the pets. Only thing missing is children's area Amenities such as restaurants etc are very close by. read more

Lies and anger mean this couple will never be back. My wife and I are experienced campers. We have stayed in campgrounds all over the US and New Zealand. We have never been treated as badly as we were this past week at Camelot RV Campground. We booked to stay for three nights where I would work out of the camper, while my wife worked at a nearby business for four days. The campground attendant was friendly and helpful during check in. I paid cash for the three nights that we had reserved, and I confirmed our departure day was to be Saturday. Our stay was uneventful, each night before bedtime I would disconnect both ends of our water line, and blow the water out, leaving the hose so any remaining water could drain. Since we were getting up early for my wife to go to work, I would reconnect in the morning, being careful to keep the water running at a trickle to a) keep it from freezing, and b) alert me if it did. On Friday, at about 10:50 while I was working from the camper, I got a loud knock on the door. It was an older man, who seemed perturbed telling me that check out time was 11am. At first, I thought his intent was to remind me of that for our paid/planned departure the next day. So, I responded that I had every intention of being out well ahead of that time. It was then that he yelled at me that it was 10:50, and I needed to be gone. I clarified that we had arrived on Wednesday, paid for three nights, and that we would be leaving on Saturday as planned. The man, who I later confirmed to be the owner then dropped that topic and started getting on to me about leaving the water connected through the night. I explained that we had absolutely disconnected and that I had no idea why he was yelling at me. At this point, I was perplexed as to what we had done to deserve for this man to be treating me as though I was doing him wrong somehow. I followed him over to where he was discussing with two other people (one I learned to be his wife). I asked what was going on. He replied that there had been some confusion on the schedule but offered nothing in the form of an apology. I didn't dwell on expecting an apology but asked why they felt they needed to harass me about the water. It was at this point that the lies started. He said that they check each camper at night, and that they had pulled up with headlights between 2 and 3 am, and they could see my "White hose" connected, he even went as far as to hold his hand up indicating the size of my water hose. My only response was, well that is a good trick because my water hose is green. Caught in a lie, he turned away and insisted that he caught me with my hose connected the next night, he would kick us out. My wife works in this area frequently, and we will often pull our camper over to keep her drive time to a minimum. There is no scenario where Camelot RV Campground will see another penny of our money. We will also be sure to tell our camping friends that if Camelot is the only option, just keep on rolling. read more

The park is ok. Very difficult to maneuver into spots in some areas. The spots are very close together. The owners are borderline rude. They are taking full advantage of the state parks closing for the Corona Virus. They don't have showers or bathrooms open and charged me $34/night after telling me $28/night on the phone. I certainly wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Very nice RV Park. We made an overnight stay and had a very good experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were escorted to our spot and guided into position in the spot so our utilities would reach just right. We had a pull through RV Pad which was was made of gravel and really level. Hookups were easy and they even had cable and WiFi. I would stay again as it was reasonable and stress free. read more

Don't stay here with pets!!! You will regret it!! We were following the strict pet rules, walked our two dogs to the pet area (unmarked grassy spot near the road) to do their business. Both dogs did what dogs do, and we picked up ALL poop after them. We then decided to walk to the dumpster to throw the poop bags away. With our dogs in tow we strolled over just to be approached by a crotchety old man who berated us about not using the designated dog area. We tried to explain to him that in fact we did and picked up after our dogs, but he was not at all receptive to our explanation and then told us that we are invited to leave the park. Rude and grumpy is all it takes and we gladly packed up and found a much nicer place to stay (plenty of them in this area). Just say 'No Dogs Allowed' on your website. It's obvious you don't want them walking anywhere on the property. No southern hospitality here!!! read more

Weird camp. So many rules basically cant touch and grass especially if you have dogs. The worst thing is that there is no shade just yucca bushes in the areas- all you get from yucca is stabbed if you or your child falls into it- by far the WORST part was the noise. Relentless loud noise from the freeway J brakes alllllllll night. Wasnt worth the 38 dollars and it seems from asking around they charge according to how much momey they think you have read more

Just plain awful. When we arrived we were greeted by a couple, they were so strange. We originally were planning on two nights but always say one night to see how the park is. First thing the woman at the counter does is say she has to call someone, not sure who but can only assume it was the owner. After a wait we are offered a back in space (we have a 36' Class A Diesel Pusher). My husband follows the guide vehicle through this maze, with trees and stumps to navigate around. There were no distinguished road markings. Oh, I forgot to mention how steep some of the roads were (if you could call these ultra narrow gravel paths a road). We were taken all the way to the end of the road (path) and ended up on the frontage road. The road noise was appalling. The wifi sucked as did the broadcast television (we got 5 channels). If we had seen where we would be parked we would never have stayed. Oh, we were told most of the people that stay here are long term. Never staying here again. read more

The worst! We drove 3hours in the pouring rain and when we got there they tried to put our 30 ft. Camper in a 20ft. Spot! Well it was not going to fit! There were other spots available but they said our camper was "too small for those"!! So they turned us away in the pouring rain and not being familiar with the area! Never again!! read more
