The hookups were perfect. We bought firewood and asked for the pit to be cleaned out (we didn't have a shovel). When the fella came to deliver wood, he cleaned out the pit. We told him we we're making s'mores. He actually scrounged up a couple pieces of scrap wood and ran it back over to us. Great guy!!! The girl in the office said they didn't have fire-starter, but said we could walk around by the woods and pick up kindling.

We made our reservations then the next day I got the email I should have received with in 48 hours. So I called them again to verify we had reservations to verify they didn't hear me the previously day as I got told "well you're supposed to call when you get the email." Anyways we got confirmation we had reservations. Then when we arrived and got escorted to our site to be told we can't set up fencing for our dog. This wasn't stated anywhere on the website. We would not have stayed. If a middle of the night need for our dog to potty becomes big inconvenience for us. Plus it's just safer for all animals that could be loose or get loose.

I did not get any sort of confirmation email, only a text message photo of a receipt for the $103.50 deposit. A fellow camper in my group called me a week ago and said our reservation had been changed because the campground had double booked us. I called and left a message saying I'd like to understand and get this straightened out. When they called back the guy yelled at me and told me they still have us but in a different spot. When I asked about moving our deposit to the next year's ride or possibly refunding our deposit he refused to work with me. Throughout the call he was rude and unprofessional. Rather than focusing on my reservation and working towards a solution he kept talking about another camper's reservation changes. Needless to say after this negative experience I will not be camping at this place.

However, I called "Mr. Bill" with a question and we ended up speaking on the phone for 10 minutes about several things. He was so friendly and personable. I met his wife when she came in to write me a receipt. She was also extremely friendly and we chatted for some time. The most amazing thing is that the lobby is left open and unlocked. It's like a little living room with 2 large w/d for guests and a clean bathroom with a shower. We will definitely be staying there when husband has to work in the Union City area.
