After quoting a job down to the penny ($5198.07), they wanted an extra $1200 from me, "because it took longer than they expected." And this was after I removed several items from the bid, as well as them giving me a $200 military discount, to get us within our $5000 budget. What was the point of that, if in the end they could just charge me whatever they felt like. The red flag was on Day 1 when the father stated, "I can't believe Alex took such a small job, when we have $100,000 jobs we could be working on." That's like telling your date, "I can't believe I'm here with you when I could be out with someone so much hotter." Rather than finishing the final phase of the job, they've left me hanging for 3 months and now recently filed a lawsuit for $1200. Thanks for the military discount!
