I've been here several times since it completed it's renovation in 2002 and I really dig this space. I've seen plays, slam tournaments, and even went backstage for a performance class to play around with some puppets that were going to be in a Bread and Puppet theater show. It's definitely a multi-purpose space.
The theater is 185 seats, complete with balcony. The seats are movable (not fold up - the sturdy back kind) which makes it seem like less of a theater to some people, but allows for different types of set up (I've seen dinner (round) tables set up, etc).
I was looking to rent this place to do a show and the prices are pretty ridiculous for the area. One week at this theatre equates a weekend at some other area venues. All the specs are on the website. Note - this theater is the home to the Longwood Players and they put out 3 shows a year (Spring, Fall, Winter), so I'd check them out before settling on dates. read more
