The Village is a fully independent 55+ community in a secluded area surrounded by woods and nature. Except for the low hum of a near by train the area is quiet. The apartments are large, clean and fully updated. The kitchen is gorgeous. They have a community complex that is nothing short of amazing. There is a fully equipped gym, dining area, kitchen for group events, heated pool and several seating areas with big screen TVs. They issue a monthly calendar with many events scheduled including card games, football meet ups and bus outings and offer delivered meals from a near by restaurant. Rent includes basic cable, trash and use of the community center. They are currently building houses if you'd rather buy then rent and have future plans for rent-able townhouses. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet neighborhood full of good people.

My boyfriend and I moved in a little over a year ago. The first 6 months were great. Then a tenant…read moremoved in next door. Chain smoker is an understatement. He goes in and out over 20 times a day, even during overnight hours. Can't make someone not smoke, but we see him put butts out, stick in his pocket, then go inside. So the building stinks in addition to body odor. He coughs and hacks throughout the building without covering his mouth and we are in a pandemic. I reported him smoking on his patio three times and the building is non-smoking. I'm unsure the purpose of leases when they can be broken and you get to continue living here. He plays loud music at night and I've reported that as well. I've asked for air fresheners to be put upstairs but to no avail. One tenant can really change your day to day feelings about your home. We renewed our lease because we moved out of state last year . However we will most likely move next year. The apartment is in the leasing office so you don't have as much privacy and it's a bit noisy. Also, there is no security code or lock so anyone can enter the office building at anytime. Positives I will say is maintenance takes care of issues quickly and thoroughly. The complex and buildings are always clean, including laundry facilities. The leasing office does not offer a storage closet or laundry room like the other buildings, something to consider when checking them out.

The carpets had to have been almost 10 years old and I filled my vacuum cleaner canister the first time I vacuumed even though I asked them to replace the carpets or steam clean them before I moved in. I did take pictures of the condition when I moved in, but they weren't good enough. I was charged $1,200 after I moved out. The location of these apartments justifies why they're so expensive. It certainly isn't for the condition of the apartments, maintenance, or amenities. Photos are from the day I moved in. Dirty, stained carpets, broken windows, leaky kitchen faucet, broken stove drawer, and coin washing machine held together by duct tape are only a few of the disappointments the day I moved in.

We are very pleased with the facility and the employees that work there. They are special people and we are blessed. The food is very good and the daily activities and events are what gets us through the day. They have music that puts my mom in a happy place. The campus is very clean and decorated for every season. The campus is beautiful in the spring and summer with outdoor gazebos. They also have onsite doctors and and rehabilitation if needed.
