The absolute worst billing staff on earth! I've not seen more turnover in an establishment EVER! The current flock led by office manager Veronica is disappointing at best. Completely unhelpful, lack of general concern, and certainly no care for time or professionalism. My family has been with this practice for more than 10 years. Patience has expired!!! I've dealt with so many distasteful things here and remained loyal because of convenience and because as a family we haven't had many serious issues or treatments. I have had poor experiences with both the orthodontics and the general dentistry. General Dentistry: The office was great until about 5 years ago. Now, they constantly call you to reschedule appointments you made 6 months ago. Wait times regularly exceed 30 minutes past your appointment time. I had a root canal and crown done in 2019. The root canal specialist comes into the facility once a month. So, even if you are in pain, you have to wait until they come into the office. While working on my tooth, they hung a hot tool on the corner of my lip and burned it. It was never acknowledged, no apology. That tooth received three crowns. One was casted incorrectly, one was placed over the tooth incorrectly, and finally the last one did the job. Orthodontics: I received adult orthodontics, and my child received orthodontics roughly 5 years later. My orthodontist was amazing. Unfortunately, they retired before my child's treatment. In two years of treatment, the orthodontist changed three times. The current orthodontist alternates working 3 to 4 days a week with appointments ending at 3 pm. During our last visit, I mentioned my concerns about orthodontists constantly leaving the practice. I was told that corporate orthodontics offices are the way of the future and finding an independent practice would be difficult to find. I am now going to a private orthodontics practice open five days a week 8 am to 5 pm. read more

I liked this office when I started coming years ago. However, due to my latest experiences, I no longer like it. My teeth cleaning and whitening experiences have been fine. I opted to get a cap replaced and veneers which have not been good experiences. Seems they lack the skillset both in the office and on their choice of lab to make the veneers and caps. I've had at least 5 mistakes in color and fit. Leaving me with the temporary teeth a lot longer than is comfortable. The temporary teeth have fallen out of my mouth at the most inopportune times. Once while talking in a group. It was beyond embarrassing. Another time I swallowed a tooth while sleeping. Another time it cracked while eating. I felt something crunchy while eating soup. Another time it loosened and had to catch it with my tongue holding it in place while delivering a speech. I stopped counting because I just have to roll with it until the veneers and caps are completed. I'm paying $1200 for each veneer. And can't afford to walk away at this point. I attempted to discuss the matter with the office manager and she never returned my calls nor opted to meet with me when I waited for her in the office. I'd say the Dr and his team are nice people but it has not been a good experience so far. I would not recommend cosmetic veneers be done at this office. BEWARE! This place charged me for asking for a few pain pills to get me though the weekend until my dentist opened. They could clearly see I just had two teeth pulled and a crown. I was already taking antibiotics Motrin and Tylenol. I called in pain and asked for a few pills, they said come in, Dentist told me NO pain pills. I had No exam No X-rays nothing but a NO. I have become increasingly disappointed with Cambridge after more than 10 years as a patient. I was forced to go through 4 different orthodontists while going through invisalign. Cycled through several dentist and hygienists which wasn't helpful either... My major issue had become the staff at the desk and on the phone. They have changed many times, and now many of them are very unprofessional and unpleasant. I decided after being forced to reschedule due to their own error that I would not be returning. Like many other reviews, I really liked this office when we first started coming about 10 years ago. Dissatisfied does not even begin to express my feelings about Cambridge these days. Horrible billing practices, sub par dentists and hygienists. They are quick to rush one patient in before you can even get out of the chair. The dentists there just aren't that good. Malpractice..Insurance Fraud...Billing fraud. 1) Malpractice; Cambridge pulled my molar in hopes of gouging me on an expensive implant, then 4 out of 4 other dentists stated the molar should never have been pulled; that it should have been treated as a filling. 2) Insurance Fraud is a crime; "Double Billing" is when Cambridge bills the insurance company and then bills you for the same item. "Coding Fraud" is when Cambridge submits a misrepresentation to insurance. 3) "Retail Fraud" is when Cambridge quotes or misquotes one price the charges you another. 4) Please report it to some one, at least the insurance company. If you know a cop... The other reviews are very similar. Conclusion; Cambridge has a criminal business model, by negligence alone. Hence, Cambridge should lose their license to practice. JUST DON'T! My son had an abscess tooth that needed to be pulled in October but could not sit through the shot that was needed for the procedure, so we were told we needed a pediatric dentist. Looked up Cambridge as it took our insurance and was in the area and made the earliest appointment for December, already pretty far out for a tooth that needs to be pulled as it can cause infection, but I understand everywhere is backed up and it hadn't been bothering him too much. Showed up on time to our 9am appointment on time, sit in the waiting room for almost an hour, in that time, watch some lady and her daughter that the staff seem to know and are friendly with go right in along with many others. I go up to the desk to inquire about our wait time and they say the patient before my son has had an emergency that is taking longer. Okay fine, I get that, things happen, but I'm in the waiting room for an appointment I made 2 months prior with my 6 year old and his younger brother. Another HOUR goes by, no one at the front desk is communicating to me about the issue with the appointment time, go back up and I am still met with the same BS story of an emergency. They tell me the person after the emergency has just been brought back and it will still be a bit as they only have one pediatric dentist. Patient after the emergency? That should've been my son ... we had been there for 2 hours at this point, no one was waiting longer than us. That means they took someone before us or just looked us over by mistake which resulted in me just leaving bc having a 5 and 6 year old in a waiting room for almost two and half hours with no communication or concern from employees was absolutely ridiculous. I told the receptionist, who was polite, I could not stay any longer and she offered me an apology and an appointment in FEBRUARY!! For an infectious tooth when we showed up on time for our original appointment and waited two and a half hours to not even make it back to be seen at all!! I went to get my teeth cleaned and the DH Robbie was horrible. I was charged for fluoride but did not receive it. Dr. Basis looked at X-rays from July of 2023 and told me in Jan of 2024 that I had an infection that did not make sense. They sent me to Wave to see a Root Canal specialist they took X-rays then the specialist said they needed a 3D scan. I asked why didn't they do that scan first she said that insurance should pay for it but if they didn't they would let me know how much it was. I left because how can you look at an x-ray from July of the previous year and tell me over Six months later that I have an infection mind you I haven't had any pain/discomfort. I waited for over an hour Tori the office manager listened and understood my concern. I thought it was odd that Robbie didn't do the job correctly and the water kept spraying me in my face the entire time it was the shortest cleaning ever had. I was refunded the fluoride. Clement cleaned my teeth and did a fantastic job. let's say I scheduled my next cleaning with him and was pleased thanks to Tori and Clement; Dr. Bassi was not a good dentist and will not be seeing him again. I was at the dentist for over three hours. if you need dentures made this is the place to go, the last place I went to did an awful job. These nice wonderful ladies made me a pair that look completely natural, (which is never easy). They made an otherwise embarrassing ordeal bareable. I have been going to Cambridge since I was a kid and they used to be the best! Now, not even close. In fact, my whole immediate family has already left this dental office and gone elsewhere because of the way they have turned upside down (about 25 of us)! All of the best dentists have left, they've had 3 different orthodontists in the last 2 years, and don't even get me started on the front desk staff!! There's no consistency whatsoever! The only reason I am still here is because my son still has his braces on and we need the ortho to continue. If you must see a dentist here, Dr.Kam is the only one I'd recommend. I came in for a regular cleaning, however I found out that I needed a deep cleaning on 8 teeth. I was so terrified, but Miss Beverly put my fears at ease. She did a wonderful job! I did not feel any pain she also cleaned my teeth so good & they feel great. Miss Beverly was awesome! I also brought my children in for a cleaning. My daughter teeth was cleaned & her overall oral exam was good. My son's teeth on the other hand was not so good. DO NOT GO HERE!!! They advertise for patients with anxiety and then make that anxiety even worse. Ordered, paid for and completed the scan for a bite guard OVER A MONTH AGO and come in today to pick it up and they sent the scan to the wrong company so instead of picking up my upwards of $600 medical device, they started over from scratch with a scan. So LITERALLY the 4 professionals (?) with whom I spoke a month ago all messed up and lied to me. And because I've already paid for it it's been run through insurance and I don't have the time to wait for an appointment with a new dentist. And the icing on that cake is that they also shared details about my treatment WHICH I DID NOT EVEN KNOW YET. Members of my family knew were given this privileged information I hadn't even been told by this office and it's staff. Incredibly unprofessional and specifically the people in the front office. With all that being said, I just took down the five star amazing review from a month ago (it was only my first time there so the unprofessionalism hadn't quite shown through yet. I have been going to Cambridge since I was a child. They are under new management and have a high staff turn around. My dentist left and I was sent to a new one who told me I have 5 cavities when I haven't had any in many years. I received many bills in the mail saying I was past due on payments and when I called, they told me to discard and that I did not show a balance. However, I would receive another letter in the mail saying I had a past due balance. The final straw for my family and I was when we went in for our 6 month appointment. The lobby was packed during COVID, patients weren't wearing masks and a teenager was vaping in the lobby. I walked out cancelling my appointment. 8 months later, I have found a new dentist. When asked about the 5 cavities I was told I have by the Cambridge dentist, this dentist told me he did not see any cavities. Therefore, confirming my assumptions that the Cambridge dentist was lying and they are a bunch of thieves since switching management. Will not go back. Truly a shame. read more

Over charged for services that insurance covers, waiting in excess of 30 days for reimbursement after speaking to the office manager. Failure to return calls. Issues with being checked in with extreme wait times in the lobby. After 14 years of using I will be pulling my family from this office. I can even give them one star. They are crooks and thieves and trick you, making you believe your insurance will cover your services 100%; however, when you receive the service they tell you the insurance didn't cover and bill you thousands. They are holding my aunt's dentures hostage until she pays over $1,000 when they lead her to believe her services were covered 100% by her insurance. Before she could even get her teeth pulled for the dentures, they claimed that her entire $3,000 insurance limit was used just for fitting and making dentures. When we talked with the insurance company, we were informed that my aunt still had over $2,000 of services left and they didn't understand why Cambridge was billing my aunt for the pulling of her teeth, which is a covered service. The insurance company contacted Cambridge to cancel the erroneous billing, which they said they would, but they never did. So, the insurance company suggested that we file a complaint/grievance against Cambridge with the insurance company and the dental licensing board. Now, my aunt is left without teeth AND no dentures, even though her insurance company paid for them. Cambridge refuses to give her the dentures without paying over $1,000 for pulling her teeth. Saturday morning I woke up with excruciating pain in one of my molars. I called many dentists just to get an appointment. My last call was to Cambridge Dental, in which I was scheduled for an appointment an hour later. From the time I walked in the door I was greeted by a friendly staff who helped me everything. Although it was my first time at Cambridge, the wait time was minimal. Everything from appointment scheduling to x rays were done right in front of me while I was in the chair. I would definitely recommend Cambridge Dental to anyone looking for a new dentist. It was a great experience! read more
