I finally let him pull it, he threw it in the tray and walked away. The assistant picked it up and showed me the infection on the roots. I knew it was infected because the pain would go down when I took antibiotics for other conditions. I found a new dentist after that. They did a lot of repair work that had been neglected by the prior dentist. I've had a couple years of no dental pain after leaving this dentist.

He was able to save teeth that I thought were going to have to be pulled due to the poor work of a prior dentist (with only one needing a crown), and all the teeth he's worked on feel as though they've never needed a filling. If you dread getting the cleanings because of a combination of sensitive teeth and hygienists who seem sadistic, make sure you ask for Kim. She's willing to take the time to clean manually (sans sonic torture device), but very thoroughly. Even the office staff is so friendly and helpful that I've accidentally smiled while paying a bill! This place has good ratings for all the right reasons; if you're browsing reviews to choose your next dentist like I was, this is the one.

Once in the dental chair they tried to convince me to replace an additional 8 perfectly fine teeth! For aesthetics.. this is not a concern for me.. just my 2 that need replacing! The issue with this practice is more in their deceptive billing! The amount that I was quoted was higher than most other dental practices! I had gone to another dentist who advised me that if a dental practice is in your insurance network they are contractually obligated to charge an in-network amount! The office manager here is a relentless deceptive piece of work!! She acknowledged that this is what they are obligated to do, but she would not honor those in-network prices!! And if you choose a payment plan, they charge you differently based on the time frame of payback.. way too many other dentist out there and I wondered how much over billing they charge people who think this dental practice is good because of community word of mouth..

Now, here comes the most important part. I switched dentists a year ago and that was the worst mistake ever!!! Dr. Benjamin would not add a small additional filling to an edge of my tooth; that was impacting my gums from food. Her and the office manager pressured my hesitancy, as she stated, she doesn't do patch work, the tooth had to be refilled entirely. After looking at the x-ray, but still skeptical, I decided to go ahead with the refilling. After the procedure, I was LIVID!! Dr. Benjamin shaved the backside of the tooth below where it was originally, and up to a point that it looks like a canine's tooth. Furious, she tried to shave the point down, OMG!! still noticeable. I'm so upset, that I don't want any dentist doing anything in my mouth again!! I believe, what she did was intentional; as she didn't give me a mirror to see it afterwards. They are CHEAP, DISHONEST do NOT know how to communicate, and they should be called DUMB and DUMBER. They were very good with breaking down the costs I was going to have to pay, showing me what my insurance was going to pay for, and then also extremely helpful to let me know what my payment options were. Dr. Hider was very personable and very good at explaining what was going on and where my pain was coming from. A very accommodating office and willing to do whatever they can to help you out. I heard Dr. Hider working with a very young patient who seemed to be very frightened, and he did such a good job of calming her down and making her feel more comfortable. He was cracking jokes with her and reassuring her that she was doing a great job and letting her know she was almost done. Doctors that care about their patients like that really show a lot I think!

The office is lovely and all the staff are warm and friendly. I was amazed of not only how quickly my chip tooth was fixed, but I had no discomfort in the process. My tooth looks like I never even chipped it! Dr. Katranji is very nice, knows her stuff, and you almost feel like she has been treating you for years the first time you meet her.
