Let me start off by saying that I am a personal trainer and there is no other nutritionist/cleanse program that I would ever send one of my clients to. I took their 28 day cleanse class with my mom and she lost 14 pounds during the 28 days! I wasn't in the cleanse for weight loss but it was great for me, too. For a Christmas present my husband bought me the genetic test from Cambiati. I had always been curious about how food affected my mood, weight and health, so I was hoping for some great results. I was a slug before the program! We had been remodeling our home and had been living in a hotel room for 4 months prior to my start at Cambiati. We had eaten many meals out, not cookng much, eating mostly microwaved foods. For the past 8 years, I have been on a journey to feel better. I started having digestive issues and went to the doctor, which started a series of appointments, tests, medication, all that did not solve my issue. I didn't seem to fit the protocol. I then tried researching on my own and trying different supplements, watching countless YouTube videos, trying to self-diagnose. I changed my diet, I went to acupuncture, all which did help, but my symptoms never really went away, and I just learned to live with it. This past year, I had a new pain in my stomach and decided I had to do something. Prior to meeting the wonderful ladies at Cambiati, I had developed unhealthy life patterns that are so easy to fall into due to all the responsibilities of work, having a family, and just getting older. I reached out to Cambiati after I left my work in an ambulance. When my vitals were taken at the hospital the doctors found that my blood was at Hyponatremia levels and my blood sugar was in the pre-diabetic range. Ten years ago I was in the best shape of my life! I worked out with a personal trainer for 2 years and my diet was a clean one. After leaving my trainer, I would continue to workout consistently 4-5 times a week and eat pretty clean with 5 lbs fluctuation in my weight but it was manageable and I could usually go back to eating clean to get back to my ideal weight. I participated in the 28 day Cambiati 'Cleanse' program with Rebecca in August 2016. The program includes 5 classes in which we learned about nutrition, the diet program and were able to explore our relationship with food. At the first class, we also set our goals. I went to Cambiati about four years ago. I had severe knee pain and my doctors said it was arthritis with severe inflammation (I was 54!). I loved the cleanse. Knee pain went away and has never returned. I would intermittently do the cleanse because it made me feel better. While I was on the cleanse, I never "counted the days" until it was over because I felt so good during the process. I moved to Texas (I know!) last year and I have really been having eating issues, cravings, etc. I started the cleanse online and am about midway through. I feel great! My initial (and only) appointment with Cambiati Wellness was with Rebecca at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 13. Rebecca was very ebullient and gracious. I signed an agreement for a program but the agreement had very little detail. On Monday (7/16) I returned to Cambiati, gave back my information folder, and requested they cancel my credit card charge for the program. The receptionist said I would need to speak to Rebecca. I phoned Rebecca, received her voice mail, and left a message requesting a cancel. She phoned back (got my vm) and said to speak to the nutritionist, Shannon. I phoned Shannon, left message to cancel. Rebecca then phoned and said to either call her or email the reason in order for them to cancel. This is typical sales..."express an objection so they can overcome it." No, just cancel. Then I emailed, "please cancel." Rebecca emailed back and said they would refund, but had already incurred lab costs and credit card costs, and those would be mine. I have had no tests, the costs she mentioned appear arbitrary and definitely not customized for me, since I have not seen anyone, and cc charges belong to the business. The business appears to be based, either initially or at some point directly on "supplements" and "cleanses." I do not want supplements or cleanses, but that part was NEVER discussed with me. This is a very tricky business.... BEWARE!!!! It appears to be operating largely on veiled promises of offering good health and attractiveness by buying their merchandise. read more
