The outlet line is not quite up to the same standard as the regular retail line Overall I was very pleased with my shopping experience. Don't go in expecting to be greeted immediately at the door and assisted throughout your entire shopping experience as you are at the BR flagship stores because it's not going to happen- it is an outlet after all. The quality of the outlet line is slightly lower than the flagship line, but still on par with Gap or better. I was able to put together several outfits in under 30 minutes and left feeling as though my time there had been well spent.

I also queried why the discount had changed from 20 to 25% in less than 24 hours and did they honour that. All said and done seems the shirt was finally sent and is being delivered since my query and no recognition of the additional discount but no problems with a $15 delivery fee and a false arrival date. When she goes into Penningtons, she can usually get an entire outfit for close to $70. She usually goes in around January or February when they are in the middle of season changes. The clothes are 75% off and she gets a lot of great deals! The staff are always available to help when you need a size or even just an opinion. They always try to save you money as well even if it is just to remind you to use their club card to accumulate points. For ever $500 you spend at Penningtson, they send you a $25 gift certificate in the mail. Great place to shop!

The good news is that their prices are actually very reasonable for the most part. And I walked in right when they were having tons of deals! The sad part was, none of the clothes I wanted fit right or looked right on me. There were some interesting jackets but I wasn't in a "jacket buying" mood. Now onto the staff. When I first walked in, I couldn't find them. So I looked around and looked around some more and still couldn't find any. I did then find staff, but they simply gave me a number and told me where I could go to try on the clothes. They weren't rude and had a pleasant sounding voice. I never found any staff who were at all interested in me as a customer. I looked around just to check and see if someone else was having better luck but no one was. When I walked by staff they were talking and coordinating with each other. But they simply acted as if there were no customer's in the store. H&M does have some nice products and even though the clothes didn't fit me perfectly, they will fit someone. So they deserve three stars for having a good variety of clothing and having deals from time to time. But two stars are missing because customer service was down right nonexistent aside from someone handing me a number and letting me know where I can get changed.

Even though the women's inventory probably triples what is available for guys, I found that the selection and style was much cooler than the girls. The dressier section of the women's clothes are a little to flashy for my taste, I did pick up a nice grey cardigan which I love because it's not a typical v-neck, and instead it buttons all the way up. Prices vary, some of the more casual clothes are pretty cheap, but the formal selection can be really pricey. This is still a fairly new store so I've found that their sales have been few and far between. Hot Hint: I found a really cool (and durable!) umbrella on sale here. This is a place that's slightly upscale, so you will be paying a higher price than you would at some of the other clothing boutiques in this mall. However, I believe that quality is worth a little extra now and then, so it's always my first stop at HaliShop. They carry all kind of great brands, but they no longer carry my guilty favourite, Juicy Couture. Sad face. Still, the rest is pretty awesome. I've gotten so many of my staple items at Envy, from my awesome squirrel dress to my formal winter coat. I do wish they would carry more accessories, however. High fives to the ladies who work here, as they're always willing to track down an item or check other stores if they don't have something. They're also totally honest with you if you ask them about an outfit you're trying on, which is so helpful when you're shopping solo, such as I usually do. Seriously, check it out the next time you feel like a splurge. It's easily one of my fave places in Halifax for clothing.

With every new season comes a new wave of sale seasons I can't wait to browse through. So believe me when I tell you, I know a good thrift store when I see one. This place could be a 5 star location if it had a better shoe and bag section. You can tell these two sections are always small, not a lot of space was designated for them. I was so excited to visit a Frenchy's.. A true Frenchy's close to home. I had amazing luck in the sweater department, and honestly it's where I concentrated most of my searching. So I can't tell you how good the shirts or skirt bins where. As you can see from my photos, I found many of my favourite brand names. I was pumped! I went through the dresses and jackets, but came up empty handed. The selection was there, lots to choose from, just nothing to my taste. The store is large enough to keep me coming back. Although it's close, it's not that close. A bit of a drive from downtown to lower Sackville, but I would say it's worth it. I find it has a much bigger selection of sizes and far more clothes than the location in the mall. I usually go here to buy some inexpensive jewellery to dress up my outfit. I get then buy one, get one free. I also love their bags! For around $30 or so, I usually pick up a pretty nice handbag. There is nothing better than shopping for a new shirt and handbag. The staff are friendly at this location. I have asked them to steam a blouse before and they were more than happy to. I always get great service!
