We would make urgent phone calls and the operator would promise someone would call us. Didn't happen. They promised to come out after starting my mother on morphine and they never returned. No wound care was ever done as promised. No supplies were ever sent after the first box. We had 2 excellent visits that we were there for over a 31 day period and we thought we would get care for my mother. Those nurses were wonderful. We never saw anyone after the morphine started. I had to take video of my mother screaming in pain to get help. We begged for our mother to go into the Hospice House and we were continually turned down. There is no patient portal to read and see what is going on. When we needed support in her final 2 days no one came as promised and no one called. Even the facility where my mother was in became concerned by their lack of presence.

After his death I received so many text messages telephone calls, letters with my name incorrect . After the first telephone call I explained that I did not need assistance, I was doing fine and already had all the resources necessary to deal with my husband's death. I requested to stop calling me or sending messages. However, the saga continued, very frustrating and my request to stop contacting me was disregarded. Probably the people calling have a spread sheet and need to put a mark on it. It is not about the person who just lost her husband but about getting points for their job.

They rushed through the care for my husband and didn't see the urgency to send someone to be here to help our family through our loved one's death. They didn't get here in time before my husband passed and then when them hospice nurse showed up he was very inconsiderate of our family's loss and rather than consoling us he spent an hour counting pills and disrespecting the family and their feelings. They didn't comfort us in anyway. So sad.

The facility itself is lovely and peaceful, which is important during such a difficult time. However, our overall experience was deeply affected by the behavior of one staff member, Shannon Connors. We are a large family, and after feeling pushed into moving our mother to this facility, we hoped for understanding and compassion. Instead, Shannon Connors was disrespectful and rude toward our mother and toward my siblings who were visiting. Her loud, inconsiderate behavior added unnecessary stress and pain during our mother's final days. Her lack of communication skills and apparent inability to interact sensitively with a grieving family made an already heartbreaking situation much worse. Rather than feeling supported, we felt sadness and anger because of how we were treated. We loved our mother deeply, and those last days should have been handled with care, dignity, and compassion. I sincerely hope no other family has to experience this lack of compassion during such a vulnerable time.

The skilled nurse Akosua came out last Monday, I specifically told her about having two insurance's which NEEDED to be utilized in aspecific way. I reiterated it multiple times. She stated she would give the information to Mary. Today I get a call at the end of the day 4:47 pm, that my PT and OT can't continue bc they just became aware from today's provider who sent in the information that they now have to verify benefits and this can't be done until Monday... So this has now further delayed my healing. This is so very unprofessional on so many levels!!!!!!

All employees seem to love their jobs, and it shows. Every week we're surprised at the level of care my parents are receiving. No proper admissions, had to beg - then threaten - to get a nurse to come to home, medication errors, pt. was on hospice for a week and no supplies delivered, promises of nurse visits - medications - supplies and when I would call to see where things were was told nothing was ordered. Was also told once that patient was not in system when I called! The only saving grace was nurse David Frione, who was a triage nurse that came on day 5.
