I called Art's and Chris said to bring it in (I've been a loyal customer of Art's for 9 years). They were able to squeeze me in at the last minute, fix my tire, air up the rest of my tires, and made sure I was safe to leave on my trip. I could not express how grateful I am for the value of service I received. I would recommend Art's to anyone! Thank you so much for everything!!! Y'all are the best!!!

Said I needed lower control arms (additional $1300) before they could do an alignment. I said no thanks, went elsewhere, and got an alignment for $150 no problem. Side note 1: the truck wasn't safe to drive when I picked it up so I took it immediately to another shop. Side note 2: I called 2x to speak with TJ and emailed as well: no answer. I don't think they're dishonest. I just think they lack the experience to properly diagnose vehicles. Seems like they look at it like "let's see what we can come up with" as opposed to "what needs to be fixed." Finally, every time I called, whoever answered the phone always just said "Hello" like she was answering her home phone. Not very professional. Also failed to mention 3% surcharge for laying with a credit card.

As a new resident of MD. I needed to get my MD Inspection…read more ((I know...only an inspection-right... - no seriously I know auto repair pretty well... I'm just not from MD... I've seen some pretty shady stuff. MANY of todays shops are seriously under trained/uneducated especially on todays newer cars. I say this with praise for those shops with employees that may actually care... The rest of the shops, simply don't care...)) After checking yelp.com with no success, I made a few calls looking for only the most trusted, reliable, and established of shops. Cox's was at the top of the list recommended to my by a local professional. I took my car in without an appointment. Although unable to do it immediately (( not at all that I would expect that)) They simply asked me to come back in about an hour and they'd squeeze me in. Upon my return they promptly test drove and inspected my car in a timely manner (about 45 minutes.) Unfortunately for me, my car failed. ((I actually expected my 14 year old car to fail for some reason.)) The Inspector, Took me into the shop and showed me the exact reason of concern. I promptly corrected the Issue and called back the same afternoon to actually schedule to come in the following morning. Upon the Re-Inspect, I was relieved to learn that I had satisfied Maryland's strict inspection demands. Again, I am pretty well rehearsed in auto repair/service. Shops, Dealerships, and Parts as well, hence my precautionary measures I took to find a top notch shop. These guys obviously know what the hell they are doing. They run an honest operation, and they are not going to molly-whop you for your hard earned cash. Simply put, There are only a few people I will let work on my cars. After seeing these guys in action for only an hour and a half, Cox's Auto Repair is now on my list!
