Just a few of my assignments from the GJ class
Angel A.

What a joke. That silly one star review, that is. It's unfortunate that people think they are the almighty behind the computer screen writing negative and hateful comments based on their emotions, rather than their actual experiences. They take advantage of yelp and the power of stars/reviews and rant about their problems and misrepresent businesses with false accusations. As a current student of Calstone U, I must say the person that wrote that nonsense of a review is clearly delusional. All those that know the story behind the bitter cry for attn would agree. One. The president of the school is a respected master in jewelry/metal arts, among other things. So obviously it is an honor to learn from him. And yes the pres and the vp are a couple but that's why they go the extra mile to help the students at this school. I mean it's THEIR school. People care more and work harder when it's theirs. Think about it. Two. Yes they ask you personal questions, cautiously I must add, but you have no obligation to answer and aren't expected to do so if it is out of your comfort zone. Who mistakes a friendly gesture as a scheme to rip off extra bucks? Right, delusionals. Three. If the school is not accredited then what are all the other students doing there? Are we all idiots with money to waste and time to kill? There's a reason why students come from across the country, and the world, to study at this school. Four. Tuition is definitely not cheap.. You get what you pay for. Want a cert or degree without any skill? There's a school in downtown LA for that. No offense. Five. Master's degrees or any degree is given to those who earn and deserve it. You can't just throw a tantrum and expect it to be handed to you. I just had to add this bit bc clearly somebody is mistaken on how a degree program works. As an added bonus, here's my 2 cent- What's really a shame is that bc of certain people who discredit those who have given them help and opportunity, faith in humanity begins to vanish. As if misrepresentation wasn't enough, those spiteful people repay them with deceit. I know and have befriended that certain person at one point. Turns out that certain person has more than one face/persona/identity. In case you haven't already figured it out, Sheida F's review is completely bs and nothing more than a joke.

Progression of small silver box.

I believe that the instructors, staff, and administrators are very good, and that they care about the students. This is the type of school that is worth tax payer dollars, if we are going to pay for anything, it should be helping those who are underserved, and underrepresented, continue and complete their education, and get stable careers. This is the type of school that changes lives for the better, and builds better communities, helps families be more stable, and is ultimately a help to the world. I just wish they had more art and design based tech classes, graphic design, auto-cad, architecture courses etc, I would definitely take those courses, but that's a very small gripe. Anyway, thanks to the team for all that you do! Keep up the good work.

But before we took the exam, me and those two other students were talking about how we weren't confident about taking the exam because of the instructor and her horrible confusing teaching. The instructor, which I'm guessing is the business owner, was 10 minutes late to the class and then she started the class an hour late and only checking in like six students. There were barely any students there. So an hour of teaching time was wasted because she was lollygagging. As the instructor sat down to start teaching the class, she kept stopping to text message somebody and I don't know if it was her boyfriend, but she had a huge smile on her face, Every time she was texting somebody. She did not answer questions that I had for her. She kept saying that those questions weren't necessary to answer because they weren't on the test. I paid almost $400 to take that class. I would much appreciate if you answer the questions that I have, regardless, if it's on the test or not. And then, when I finally passed the exam after having to take it a second time and after having to purchase an online Notary course by EZ Notary. I spoke to the owner on the phone and asked how can I get the rest of my supplies which is a journal, my bond and my seal. She said I would have to pay for the shipping since I don't live around there and I'm not willing to go get it in person to pick up the supplies. Her team or her emailed me the invoice for the shipment, it was $31, just to ship my bond and then I would have to pay for a second shipment for the rest of my supplies. Talk about ripping students off. Another thing is you have to pay for parking. when I called before I placed the order I asked her assistant or her front desk person do I have to pay for parking, he said no that we can get it validated for you. But nobody wanted to validate the ticket unless you bought something in that building. The parking was $20. Do not pay to take the in person class and do not pay for any other Notary course from her. She is a horrible instructor. I would not waste your time or your money. There is a much better chance passing the exam through someone else online course. Good luck!

There are often street vendors selling at the entrance to the campus. The phone lines have been down for months, as of September 2026, which means you cannot even make a call to the sheriff for help. Additionally, gates and doors are often locked up when they ought to be open. Sometimes being forced to leave through one entrance is extremely inconvenient and makes it reminiscent of a prison. Further, and this is not necessarily their fault, but the sidewalks around the school are often littered with filth, urine, and human feces. Often there is a homeless person splayed out on the steps nearest the "entrance/exit" with trash strewn around him. Now, the courses themselves are often good and well-staffed, but the facilities often lack proper modern, simple educational tools, such as a projector and speaker. There are high school children all over the campus, so it often doesn't feel "higher ed". You cannot enter the bookstore with your backpack on. I will say that they have an excellent culinary arts program that provides reasonably priced meals throughout the semesters. They have strong student services and helpful staff.
