Whole different vibe. In the best way. Now it's run by a pair of brothers, their family, a standout gal, and yes, the shop dog deserves their own five stars. The whole place feels like home with sparkle. They don't just fix jewelry, they reimagine it. I've seen them take tired pieces and turn them into something better than the original. Their custom work is next level, and they somehow always match your vision, even when you're not sure what that is. Do you like estate jewelry, modern, classic, curse words? They'll get you sorted. Bring your gold, your diamonds, your heirloom chaos. They'll breathe new life into it. I brought my girlfriend here and they were so kind (as always) that she was genuinely blown away. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Mark and Petersburg Jeweler. If I could give more…read morethan five stars, I absolutely would. My wife and I visited Petersburg Jeweler this past Saturday, and she brought several pieces of jewelry that Mark will be taking apart and completely redesigning into new pieces. After seeing what he can do and talking with him about his work, it quickly became apparent that this isn't simply a jewelry store -- Mark is an incredibly talented craftsman and designer who truly knows his trade. While we were there, Mark cleaned my wedding rings as well as another diamond ring for me while we waited. I have had jewelry professionally cleaned before, but nothing even comes close to the job Mark did. When he handed my rings back to me, I was genuinely blown away. They didn't just look clean -- they looked better than new. The diamonds absolutely sparkle, and even the metal itself looks incredible. I honestly had forgotten just how beautiful these rings could look. I also left him a Tiffany chain that my wife and I had originally given to my mother. It has tremendous sentimental value to me, and I wanted Mark to lengthen it so that I could wear it myself from time to time. I also left another chain with him to clean. Once again, the quality of his work was outstanding. What impressed us just as much as the craftsmanship was how Mark treated us. He took his time, answered our questions, explained things, and never once made us feel rushed. There was no pressure and no feeling that he was trying to hurry us along to get to the next customer. The entire experience was personal, professional, and first-class from beginning to end. Knowing that Mark has the background and experience of having worked as a lead jewelry designer before opening his own business makes perfect sense once you see his work. This is someone who clearly takes tremendous pride in his craft. There are plenty of places where you can buy jewelry. Petersburg Jeweler is where I would go when the jewelry actually matters. Whether it is a valuable piece, something sentimental, a repair, a redesign, or simply making a treasured piece look spectacular again, Mark has earned our trust. We walked in as first-time customers and walked out knowing we had found our jeweler. Absolutely exceptional experience. Five stars without hesitation. Highly, highly recommended.

I purchased a washer on 7-28-25 at the Colonial Heights store. I was told by the salesman that the…read morewasher could be delivered to my house the following Monday 8-4-25 for an additional $169.00 or I can be picked up on Friday 8-1-25 from the store. I chose to pick it up on the 1st because I needed a washer Immediately. The salesman said they would call me when it came in. Friday came and I never heard anything so I called the store at 2pm and spoke to the salesman again and he said the washer would not be here until Monday the 4th. I expressed my dissatisfaction with my service because I had scheduled help to get the washer into the house on Friday and I had no way of getting the washer in the house on Monday. Again, I was told I could pick the washer up on Friday. The salesman said there must be a misunderstanding. I asked to have a discount on the washer because of the inconvenience and the salesman said he gave me the sale price. The salesman then told me he could give me my money back as a resolution to the problem. I then asked to speak to a manager and the salesman said he would be here on Saturday. I called on Saturday and spoke with a manager and explained the situation again. I asked the manager if they could waive the delivery fee since I had no one to help get the washer in the house and he said he would do it for $129.00. I then said if you could bring the price down to $100.00 I would except that. The manager said he could not do that. I told the manager that I have bought appliances from them before and bought numerous appliance parts but obviously my words fell on deaf ears. I then told him to cancel the order and I would call him back on Monday to give him my credit card information to credit my account. I called on Monday and spoke with the salesman again and gave him my information to return my money. He said he would take care of it. I checked my bank account on Thursday and the money still had not been returned. I called the store again and the salesman said my account was credited on Monday and it may take 2 to 3 days for the money to clear. He said if you don't see the money in your account by Friday to give us a call. I finally got a receipt for the transaction on my phone Friday afternoon. I then called my bank to verify the transaction and they told me that the transaction was actually done on Friday and not on Monday like the salesman said. I know the customer is not always right every time but when you are told that your money has been returned and it hasn't, you can pick your washer up on Friday and you can't. Then you are told you must have misunderstood what was said. If they are willing to lie about when your money has been returned to your account would they also lie about when the washer was supposed to come in? Integrity is everything!!!! I have done business with The Appliance Place for years and I have bought a Refrigerator, Dishwasher and numerous appliance parts from them with no problems. My family has also done business with The Appliance Place before but after this experience neither my family or I will give The Appliance Place our business or recommendations any more.
