The options were going to the Bay area or Chico. We spoke to each of the practices and found each to be possible choices. However, Chico Hospital for Cats and their representative, Samet, demonstrated deep caring for cats and great knowledge of the procedure. We chose Chico Hospital for Cats for Poppy's procedure and am very pleased with our choice and the results. When we arrived at the hospital we found a very clean and neat building. The waiting room was quiet and peaceful and the intake personnel were warm and welcoming. We met Samet and the doctor and were impressed with their caring attitude and concern for Poppy's outcome. We had good rapport with Samet and the doctor and implicitly knew we could trust them and that they would give Poppy the care she needed for her thyroid disease. We felt that we had made the best choice for Poppy (and for our peace of mind) by choosing Chico. When we left Poppy for her 5 days we were sure that she would receive the best possible care. The hospital has cameras in each double-size cage so you can observe your cat anytime you want and, in addition, you can talk to her and hear her. This is a great relief when you have to leave your cat for 5 days! We picked up Poppy on Friday afternoon and Samet gave us thorough instructions on her follow-up care (he also did so when we first made the appointment and when we dropped her off) and then brought Poppy out to our car. We were so happy to see her, as was her brother when we arrived home. The follow-up vet visit showed that the procedure had worked perfectly and her thyroid level was exactly in the correct range. The overall experience with Chico Hospital for Cats was excellent! Samet and the staff there are caring, professional people who gave our cats, and us, the best possible care. We are very pleased with the hospital and our experience with them. We strongly recommend Chico Hospital for Cats for your cat's health.
