Oh my word, this food was horrible! We had a party of six and only two liked what they ordered…read morebecause the cousin and her daughters eats there regularly and thought we would like it. The place was huge and it was jam packed. We were promptly seated too. The two salsas and chips had no flavor to them. The one we thought was queso was actually some kind of mayo dip, not even a tartar sauce. It tasted just horrible. My hubs ordered grilled shrimp and they came with an over powering red seasoning powder. They were generous in portion, very generous actually, but not as good as a grilled shrimp he was expecting. One in the party ordered a shrimp w/cheese sauce and pasta, but not an Alfredo sauce. Now, that was great. I had a bit of her dish. Another ordered ceviche, but said it had too much onion on it for her taste and her Mom took it home with her to have for lunch the next day. The cousin who recommended this place ordered bacon wrapped jalapeno with cream cheese. Really really good, crispy bacon and none of the cream cheese had fried out! Lastly, my order. Fried Tilapia. It has been three days now and I am still not feeling well. As soon as I tasted it, I knew it was off and should have known better. I suggest anybody who goes to ask the wait staff what is most popular. It may be the best option.

Highly recommend Camarones Don Layo, super delicious. Make sure you go to the one that's en la Carretera Nacional, not the one en la Carretera Vieja.

Top notch fusion of various Asian-style food with Mexican, I might even say that this leans toward…read morea style of Peruvian cooking. Portions here are hardy, pushing family style. You can order a few dishes and serve a group, even the tacos are big, shareable, if messy. This afternoon I shared fat rice and tequenos with a friend. it was more than enough. We're both hardy eaters, and we didn't finish. The rice dishes are in a fried rice style, though slightly sweeter than what I usually eat. For the fat bastard they add chicharron glaseado, fried shrimp, grilled shrimp, octopus, avocado, broccoli, carrots and more. It's a full on fusion of flavor and ingredients. The spreadable fried avocado is an unexpected gift to pair with the fried shrimp, or with a bit of rice, sublime. If you order this, you're going to want to pair this with something to cut the fat, so try a coke zero, a sparkling water, or a beer. The restaurant is small-to medium, maybe 10-12 tables, so service is smooth and easy. You watch can even watch your food be cooked and plated. Waitstaff is attentive, but not overly so, still it's easy to get their attention and given the low number of tables, they take care of requests quickly. I have eaten in the restaurant a few times and just as many, if not more, delivery, and it is solid all the way around. The delivery is not going to be as good as in the restaurant, mostly for the texture loss with time in packaging. They do pack ingredients separately to keep as much as they can intact, and the flavor isn't lost on the road, just the crispness of the batter or the heat of the octopus, for example.
