The horses were gentle and well kept, the facility clean, but low key. Other families there and students were friendly and helpful to our small novice. The trainer, Yvette was harsh and negative with all of the instruction with my daughter (under the age of 10). She made her feel that she did nothing right and responded with sarcasm or negativity. She also took a horse brush from my daughter twice and without permission touched it to her back, once, to demonstrate to her how she was doing it wrong, then again, to her face, near her eye. I will repeat that....She took an unsanitized brush that was on various parts of the horse from a bucket and rubbed it on her face saying that it is how it feels to the horse. This is unacceptable. Not only do you not touch a minor without permission but that could have led to an infection. Her face had bristle marks on it and she felt like she had a bruise. My daughter left in tears and her self esteem for something fun was completely obliterated. She also removed the reigns (this was her 1st lesson with this instructor) and told her she was not balanced. She was scared. I do not feel that this person should be working with children.

Each child guest had an opportunity to ride a horse before the food & cake cutting. The stable hands were very helpful and friendly. They ended the day by painting the ponies' sides on the property (paint washes off and is harmless to the animals). There are also a few friendly dogs on the property that interacted with us. Enjoyed our time and look forward to booking a bday party for our kids as well
