Law practice at its BEST! If you want results delivered look no further that Callahan & King, PLLC specializes on that. These people know their craft and walk the extra mile for you! Chris King, represented my husband on a very complexed case and despite the serious charges he was able to achieve the BEST possible outcome. He was even able to completely make one of those charges,"disappear." He was very attentive to all of our concerns and guided us step by step through the whole process. Even the most "insignificant" question was answered with genuine informative answer. I have consulted Callahan & King, PLLC on three different occasions and each one of them was handled with utmost care and professionalism. Very unprofessional. Very poor communication. Hired them to contest a citation over 4 years ago and it still has not been resolved despite numerous attempts on my end and almost no communication from them. They sent me a copy of a single email that they sent to the court and said that was all they could do. I asked them to refund my money so I could just pay the fine. They didn't do that either and I ended up having to pay the fine anyway. By hiring this law firm I doubled the cost of the citation. I have hired other lawyers in the past but have never experienced this level of incompetence. There are a lot of law firms in Waco but I would not recommend Callahan & King if you want to trust someone to handle any legal affair that you may have. read more

I have had many attorneys in my 63 years some terrible some fair some good and some downright amazing. It is really hard to get any true representation from a court appointed attorney in McLennan County!! They offer a plea but provide little assistance for a trial and the corrupt judges in McLennan County are totally ok with this . Mr. Christopher Lee is a bright, highly intelligent man when it comes to Law. He is also the most corrupt dishonest attorney i have ever met in my entire life. I have never seen or experienced more disregard for a client and complete legal malpractice than with Mr Christofer Lee King and his rude staff! I have never felt worse about a relationship with a attorney than with this man who i dont believe should be allowed to practice law. He refuses to return phone calls won't prepare for a trial and is a total disgrace! read more

Run from this law firm. I was quoted $2,000 for my case I even called to double check that price and it was confirmed again. I only got to speak to the office manager, never the attorney until I showed up to pay and they asked me for $3,000 more. I brought documents from the court and they refused to review them with me saying they wanted clean copies . I never got to see my Discovery they refused to make an appointment to let review it they never asked me my side of the story. They did however throw shaded me and made me go through a psych evaluation. They did apologize once the evaluation came back and finally made the counter plea that I asked them to about a month and a half prior. I attempted to terminate our relationship on more than one occasion and was ignored and told I had used up all my retainer billing me at $400 an hour to talk to support staff as I never got a conversation with the attorney. He called me the day before court at 4:00 p.m. telling me the crappy please that he got me but told me I could get a probation and have time only to find out at probation orientation that I had to sign that right away. He did not fight to get one charge lowered and now it will be permanently on my record even with deferred adjudication. They constantly told me my case is important but not urgent and refused to answer my questions. I read a few other reviews about their lack of communication and ignored them, there's also a lack of common courtesy and belief in their client. I constantly felt like I was in front of the judge and jury and not my attorney that's supposed to be my advocate. A court-appointed attorney could have gotten me a better deal and I'd still have my $5,000. Now I'm stuck for the next 7 years and then charge will permanently be on my DPS record. Robert Callahan did not fight for me he phoned it in and took my money. read more
