She filed a haphazard motion in my case without my knowledge, consent, and no discussion and it took day's to get answers about it from her staff because she still hasn't responded to my request for a call back and that was in October of 2025. Save yourself a lot of time, money, and heartache and take your business elsewhere. I have no doubt you could probably provide yourself better representation. She should be ashamed, please report her to the State of Texas Bar if you have had a similar situation, I did and I can't imagine I am the only one, she doesn't deserve to pretend to be a lawyer

We are very relieved to have our situation resolved so that we can move on to helping the boys with college and start their lives. Gerald was my lawyer for almost 2 years and we only spoke 4-5 times. Each time was less informative than the last. He's extremely lazy (which you'll see come up in most of his online reviews) and very unprofessional. He seems like one of those guys who's just trying to get into the "cool kids" crowd of Waco, which isn't saying much. If you want accurate representation and someone who is willing to fight for you, I'd look elsewhere. There are plenty good lawyers in Waco, this is not one of those. Communication and preparation were poor, and I felt my concerns and evidence were ignored. After the case ended, I received documents with repeated errors and even a phishing email that appeared to come from the firm's address. When I asked about it, I was told they had been hacked, but I was never notified or informed about what information might have been compromised. If you're considering this firm, look elsewhere. She deserves double pay for acting as a therapist, always there to guide and support me through every step of my divorce journey. A special thanks to Barrett Thomas for leading such an amazing team of lawyers and paralegals--his leadership truly shows in their professionalism and great attitudes! 10/10 highly recommend

I do not typically write Yelp reviews, especially not for attorneys, but I felt compelled to share…read moremy experience. Christie Ryan is an exceptional advocate who understands both the law and the realities of complex cases. She is highly knowledgeable, well respected, and deeply experienced. If you come to her with the truth, clear facts, and a genuine desire for justice, she knows how to cut through chaos and deliver results. Christie was my second attorney and had to undo significant damage from my first. That alone speaks volumes. She stepped in, took control of a difficult situation, and handled it with intelligence, integrity, and steady determination. Because of her work, I am now successfully divorced and able to move forward with my life. I only learned there were Yelp reviews because my ex husband mentioned them. Otherwise, it honestly would not have occurred to me to look to Yelp when choosing legal counsel. In my experience, Christie is not the right attorney for people looking to manipulate the system or avoid accountability. She is for clients who value truth, professionalism, and real advocacy. If you are serious about your case and want an attorney who can actually deliver, Christie Ryan is someone you want in your corner.
