My schedule is SUPER variable - sometimes I don't need them for a few weeks, and then I'll suddenly need them twice a day! They're incredibly flexible, reliable, and accommodating. When our pups were really small and couldn't be alone for more than a few hours, they came over at all sorts of inconvenient times to make it possible for us to live our lives (e.g., walks at 8pm on a Saturday night when we had theater tickets in SF). We're so grateful. They're also total pros at handling dogs - we were dog-sitting for a friend so I had three dogs for a while, and they walked all three together without any trouble. I'm in awe :-) Also, for health reasons, we aren't spaying our pups until they're about a year old, so when they go into heat, all my normal activities with them (dog park and beach trips) are suddenly out - and I need a lot of help getting them enough exercise. In this case, the passion is directed toward the animals for which Catalina cares. A massive amount of trust is necessary, at least for me, in order to leave my beloved animals with someone and I do this with ease knowing that Dog Duty will not only care for my animals but also show them love and affection whilst I travel. I have 5 cats and a dog and have no worry leaving them with Catalina for weeks at a time, due to work. I personally recommend them to anyone looking for not just care for their animals but the peace of mind that they pets will be loved and cared for. Additionally, and perhaps equally as important, Catalina is a great communicator and leaves you with no concern about what's happening back home when you're away. The boarding experience was awesome as we felt like our dogs were taken care of and well cared for the entire time that we were away. We felt like they had enough stimulation as well, which is always something to worry about. We felt this way because we got constant pictures, videos, and updates on how they were doing. I have also used Ryland specifically with my anxious bulldog for training. My bulldog is deaf and also a rescue so there were many challenges when it came to training him. Ryland showed me different ways to mark his positive behavioral patterns and switch up the negative patterns in an effective way. He was super patient, gracious, and never made me feel like I was the bad owner or my dog was a bad dog. I feel super secure working with Ryland and will continue to use him for future services around my dog.
