Calix Plumbing recently completed a water service line replacement at our house using the trenchless method, and we are very pleased with the results. From the start the Calix brothers, Elmer, Dennis, and Jose were professional, knowledgeable, and clearly focused on doing the job right. They took time to explain the steps of the process before work began, and during the installation they patiently answered the questions from my curious mind. The crew was competent, organized, and respectful throughout the project. The final work looks solid and well-finished. We would definitely use their services again in the future and we feel comfortable recommending Calix Plumbing to others based on the quality of the workmanship and their overall communication. read more

I would not recommend Calix Plumbing and Pools. They have been extremely unresponsive to emails and communication overall. Despite reaching out multiple times, I was never provided with a quote for the work I requested, even after having to consistently reach out. Information was not relayed in a timely now it has been over a month with no correspondence at all. Even if this company offered a discount, I would still look elsewhere for reliable service. Very disappointing experience. read more

We had a leak in our front yard and Elmer and his team were able to work us in so we could close on our home. They were very professional and fast. They cleaned up after themselves and seeded and strayed the area. I highly recommend and would use them again. read more

Yesterday was my first interaction with Calix Plumbing. Earnest who is the principal of this company, went out of his way to get all the approvals and setup time to replace our hot water in less than 24 hours. Very professional team, guys (Danny and Jose) were great. They took care of our property by putting down cloth, wearing booties. Always had a mask on to protect themselves and us. Explain the how water system, took time explaining it. We above and beyond to make sure everything is 100% without a single issue. Highly recommend them. read more

Absolutely terrible service. they installed a new water heater system in our house 4 years ago. the system has already broken down. we have called and emailed them every day for weeks to no response. please beware! I would give 0/5 if possible. read more

As many in this area realized, they had polybutylene piping within their home. We had lived here for over 30 years with no issues but we knew that if we sold our house red flags would appear. We received many quoted to re-pipe our house with pex piping and settled on Calix Plumbing because Elmer impressed us the most. Best move I have made in a while. Elmer communicated well with us and gave specific descriptions of what would transpire in terms of work and time table. He and his crew showed up on time and treated our house with respect. Their work was excellent and the job was done in two days. They cleaned up the mess that was made each day cutting into the drywall. They were personable and always explaining issues or asking us how we wanted something done. They were very professional in every aspect of this job. We didn't have one issue with Elmer or his crew. Very pleased and highly recommend! read more

I usually don't post reviews, but l had to make an exception for this one. Had an issue with our home drainage /pipes into the main sewer line. While four other Plumbing companies gave me estimates for what was to be "major pipe repairs", Elmer's examination of the pipes proved otherwise and provided me with a solution that didn't cost thousands of dollars in unneeded work. His honesty and workmanship saved us money, time and a big headache. Recommend wholeheartedly. Thank you Calix Plumbing! Bonnie A. read more

We discovered that our copper pipes were deteriorating after two leaks in a 24 hour period. We had several plumbers come give us an estimate to replumb our entire house. Calix had very competitive pricing. After not having water for over a week, we were ecstatic when we made the decision to use them on Saturday, that they were able to come on Tuesday and be done by Thursday. He also ensured that we had one full working bathroom before they left on Tuesday. The whole crew was professional and did quality work. There was a hiccup after they left (not caused by the crew) and Elmer came back and fixed it for us. He is a good, honest businessman. Highly recommend. read more

These guys did an amazing job. They took and insurance company bid Friday afternoon and rearranged their schedule to come out Saturday morning to fix this. They showed up early and located the problem quickly. They ran into a problem when none of the big box stores had the reducer they needed and their normal supplier was closed. However, they called their supplier and got them to open up the store and get them the part. They where professional and did a great job. I would recommend these guys to anyone and will use them again in the future. read more

AVOID CALIX PLUMBING . And for those of you who Need to search him for whatever purpose - his name according to DPOR is NOT ELMER CALIX BUT ELMER CALIX-ALVARADO I have come to learn following damage to my home that plumbing work Elmer Calix and Calix Plumbing did in the master bathroom of my home that could not be seen was substandard and caused leaking that did damage. Basically he did not properly fasten fixtures in my Master shower - that caused leaking. There were also other problems with the rainfall attachment and one of the drains. I COULD NOT HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THE ISSUES UNTIL A VERY BAD LEAK AND DRYWALL BEING CUT TO FULLY EXAMINE HIS WORK. When I invited him or his insurance to come and inspect the situation that has led to leaking into a lower level I was ignored or hung on. Unfortunately - I will have no choice but to pay for the repairs out of pocket and file suit against Calix Plumbing in Court. read more

Extremely pleased with the service we received from Calix today. Replaced our water heater in record time. Done professionally, tested and working perfectly. We were given good information about what to do to maintain it in good working order for years to come. They specified a timeframe for arrival and were here when they said they'd be. They advised us of the cost up front, no hidden, added charges. Reasonable prices. Would highly recommend this company. read more

Very disappointed with the service at Calix Plumbing this time around. I had a leaking toilet, so I requested a service call. They (mis)diagnosed it as a problem with rusty tank bolts, so they replaced those for me. The cost of these bolts were $30, which seemed a bit unreasonable. (Looking online, they probably shouldn't have been more than a few bucks). Nevertheless, they got the job done in a timely and courteous manner. After receiving their paycheck, which included the materials fee, they left. A couple days later, I noticed the leak again. I called Calix Plumbing and notified them. Elmer came to take a look at it about a week later and discovered the leak was actually caused by a crack on the tank, not the bolts. I ordered a new tank, and when it arrived, I asked him to come back again to help install it properly. I tried to contact a few times and left him a voicemail/text message. Sadly, he never responded or followed up. Perhaps my job was considered too small? I guess I'll never know. But basically, I paid for an incomplete service (since they never properly fixed the leak) and unnecessary "materials." Boo. read more

Elmer and his brother fixed all my issues, did neat work, were exactly on time and showed me why I had an intermittent toilet leak, which seemed very odd to me. Talented honest people do still exist. Yay read more

Skilled professionals originally from Honduras did very good job for my home. Had water line leak due to factory defective copper line inside the black pvc pipe. Difficult situation with roots/layout and the way home was originally built 40 years ago. They took time and made sure things are done properly. Good friendly church going people that I recommend for your plumbing needs. read more

This company, Elmer and Dennis, did an excellent job replacing my water main which had burst under the front lawn. They were courteous, clean, efficient and very nice to work with. I recommend them highly. read more

From beginning to end, Mr. Elmer Calix was a pleasure to work with. He was responsive, patient, and undoubtably dedicated to his trade. Elmer and his team's technical proficiency reflected in their work. The mainline rupture had us stressed, but Mr. Calix put us at ease and quickly got to work, making it a stress-free experience. Thank you Elmer! read more

Elmer and his brother replaced my main water line, about 50 feet from the house to the curb water meter, under the Home Serve insurance (Dominion Energy) program. They did an exceptionally fine job, did not have to tear up concrete in my basement as one plumbing company thought would have to be done, replaced my ancient main shut off valve with a new ball valve, chose the best solution for the material and layout of the new water line, explained what they intended to do and then did a great job. They have up to date equipment and are careful with the digging. They arrived when they promised and have years of experience with main water lines. Very happy with this master plumber's work. (Note that my policy with Home Serve, excludes replacement of drywall removed to access the water line in the basement or whereever. That said, they made a neat cut and it can be patched fairly easily.) read more

They say good business is built on referrals, so let me refer you to Calix Plumbing. I recently renovated my entire home and had to do everything from moving plumbing lines to setting toilets and plumbing fixtures. Calix plumbing was referred to me, and with the first phone call, I knew I found a good plumber. I worked with Elmer, and he came out the same day to assess the work and was incredibly thorough assessing the job and courteous enough to walk me through the entire process of what needed to be done. It was a big job and through out the entire course of the renovation, Calix plumbing was always on time, professional, and friendly. I cannot say enough good things about them! If you have plumbing needs, I HIGHLY recommend their services. read more

Very friendly, professional and they know their stuff. They even have great customer service - very rare. Even though they were busy and needed to schedule out a week or two, after hearing the desperation in my voice to help with my pool skimmers....they found time - that same day! The used detective work and some tools and found the problem - while providing the solution and they even also gave me tons of information and advice! read more

Elmer and Dennis were called by Homeserve, which is the insurance company that works with Dominion power to replace water lines. I can't speak more highly to the work they did and the courtesy they displayed while here. Instead of the less expensive, but more intrusive repair that the insurance company initially wanted to do, Elmer convinced them to replace the entire water line from the meter into the house. We were without water for about four hours but the job was done in one day (Other than coming back early the next morning to fill in the trench they had to dig from the water meter past where the utilities were buried.) their cleanup exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend Calix. read more

Wow, if I could add more stars, Calix would get them all. Today's total was 1/2+ less than what I paid 3 years ago for the same job. Elmer explained everything, he knows what he is doing and I was certain things will be fixed right. It's been a long time since I have been able to say with confidence I had a plumber to recommend. read more

We had a leaking yard a month ago and out of all the calls we made Calix came through the soonest and with the most fair price of all the bids. They finished replacing our water line quickly and the grass is already growing back in the areas that needed to be dug up. I highly recommend Calix to anyone who needs a plumber and will use them again when needed. read more
