California Therapy Solutions is an excellent place for PT! This reflects my experience at 2 Corporate Plaza, Newport Beach: I have found the people here to be genuinely warm and welcoming and helpful. This is quality care in a wonderful atmosphere: they offer a large spacious, well thought-out place with plenty of room for everyone without bumping into each other, the way I have experienced at other PT places. You don't have to battle for space. Plus the building itself is beautiful! Plenty of free parking too. I have been to many PT offices over the years and I have found this one to be the best. Many reasons for this: everyone is helpful and welcoming and sincerely caring. Because of their warmth, kindness and even humor, they provide an atmosphere I can honestly describe as joyful. It is peaceful and everyone is respectful but it is also fun. I always feel good when I arrive and when I leave. I receive quality, specific care, excellent information and I leave feeling hopeful. Because of my particular spinal condition, I have been seeking a team who can address my concerns and help me build a stronger support area around my spine. I finally found it at this practice. The people are all gracious and have given me hope as well as dynamic hands-on treatments and helpful exercise. In particular, these people deserve special mention: PT, MAX is highly knowledgeable, analyzing my needs and setting me on the right path with his keen understanding of my specific situation. Patiently answered my many questions about what he thought I would need to improve my situation. I appreciate his knowledge and experience. PTA, KRISDEE: Patient, kind, dedicated, earnest and fun, Krisdee is terrific to work with. I genuinely look forward to our sessions. She gives excellent therapeutic massage, demonstrates the variety of exercises and clearly explains how they can specifically benefit me. She has been patient in making sure I can execute these exercise exercises to their maximum benefit for me. She is wonderful. Front desk manager JULIAN is awesome in myriad ways! His kind, welcoming, reassuring, calming personality made me feel from the start that I had indeed selected the right PT office. The caring tone he sets, reflects the professional yet warm atmosphere of this office. Julian has been of tremendous assistance with my forms and insurance; he is very smart, helpful and patient. Front Desk requires juggling lots of different personalities, answering lots of questions and patiently scheduling. Julian is excellent at ALL of this. PT AIDE JASON is kind, patient, and encouraging. He explained the exercises excellently and made me understand their benefit to me. Jason is a great member of the team. ANDREA took the time on a late Friday afternoon to schedule me in such a gracious, kind, and helpful way. She set the perfect tone right away, so I was actually eager to start therapy. I don't recommend this place! Heigne doesn't mean anything in this facility! No hand washing/ cleaning between patients! I still had a open wound after surgery, person came to me & start examining my wound without washing hand after working on previous client with feet issue!!!!! read more

The therapists are wonderful .... thank you, Megan! The entire staff is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, & friendly. My only criticism has to do with the temperature in their facilities..... it's freezing!!! I'm told that the reason is because there is a surgery center inside the building which requires the temperature be set at a low level, but ...... when someone is dealing with muscle issues, the temperature should be on the warm side. I don't understand why space heaters can't be used. It's uncomfortable being in such a cold environment. I hope that management will look into this issue and rectify it ASAP. read more

I started my treatment here October 31st 2018. The only reason I agreed to come here is because they told me my insurance was covering everything and I had no copayment. After each visit I would ask if I owed any payments and I was reassured I didn't. I just had my hip replaced and had in home therapy which my insurance fully covered so it was believable. Fast forward 2 months later I receive an invoice on December 3rd 2018 with all my total treatments for each visit. So they were billing me, but telling me they weren't. When I ask why wasn't I informed you guys were billing me each visit. The answer I received by the person who assured me I had no copayments was "I just relay information, you should have called your insurance and asked them why you weren't being billed." Basically saying if you were to go to a doctors appointment, and the office was to tell you, your insurance covered this visit. You then need to immediately call your insurance and ask what you will owe for that visit. Which is absolutely absurd! I called my insurance and they informed me California Therapy Solutions should have been billing me each visit. Or at least given me the option to pay after each visit, which they never did. The treatment itself was basic, I would work myself harder at home. I actually progressed more at home with my own workouts. I wouldn't even ice there after each session because I had better icing equipment at home. I bought a massager that did the soft tissue work the doctor would do. I would have gone to a physical therapy that at least had a pool for the money I was paying to go here, to only do simple exercises. Once again the only reason I would go to these sessions IS BECAUSE I WAS TOLD IT WAS COVERED! If I would have known I would have been paying this much to do exercises I can get off google. I would have never gone. If I would of known they were generating a bill each visit, I would have stopped treatment after visit one, not 8. If you want to pay to be told how to do simple exercises, then be my guest. The worst part is, I could have gone to the VA (veterans affairs) for free treatment! Seeing as how I'm a disabled veteran and I receive free healthcare through them. Unfortunately the VA wait times are really long to get any appointments and I needed treatment. I would have rather waited over having to cough up hundreds of dollars for something I was told would cost me nothing. read more

I started going to CTS at the Costa Mesa location due to a shoulder injury in December 2021 to January 2022. My PT was Dr. Bill Gabriel. He was knowledgeable and polite but repeatedly 10mins late and would finish early. I told him I no longer plan on going and thanked him. I got a call the next week stating I have a few more sessions left and would I like to schedule an appointment and I stated No. Then I got a call the next week asking me the same questions. I asked to be removed from their call list. Fast forward to Saturday, July 16th when I received a bill from BREE ASHURST for $10 and the date of service 1/4/2022. I found my receipt and credit card statement which I scanned and email to her plus a phone call VM. BREE ASHURST called me on Monday July 18th stating the bill is for $20 and I did pay $10 so I $10 more. She said maybe my insurance had changed at the 1st of the year. I told her I would look into it. I called her back 15 minutes later and stated my insurance renews in October of every year and my card says my copay is $10. She said I would need to call my insurance company to handle it. I told her she should call the insurance company because I have paid and my card states a my copay is $10 not $20. I told I was not going to pay it. And she yelled and said, "WE ARE GOING TO CONTINUE TO SEND THE BILL!" and hung up on me. I called the insurance company and they called her back and told she was wrong and I only owed $10. I called back to speak with her manager. The receptionist stated the manager was on a ZOOM call and would call me back. I called back on Monday, July 25th and again asked to speak with the manager and the receptionist stated she was on vacation. I asked if I could speak with the owner and she stated the owner doesn't give out her email address or phone but would send her an email on my behalf. And now today is Friday, July 29th and no phone call or apology. My time was wasted, I was yelled at and felt insignificant this is not what you want from a place that should be promoting health and well-being! read more

Came here for physical therapy on my knee. Bianca is my primary therapist, and Arturo and Sarah assist...Otherwise known as "the dream team!" I couldn't have had a better experience. My knee has healed beyond my expectations, and the knowledgeable staff is icing on the cake. Bianca is a professional beyond measure, and her intuitive insight of my physicality exceeded my expectations. I don't want to leave and have even gotten inspired to amp up my workouts too. My podiatrist referred me to CA Therapy Solutions for physical therapy for an upcoming foot surgery and suggested that I call to make the appt today to ensure I can get in after the procedure. The gal who answered the phone was less than helpful. She said she was surprised that I would even need physical therapy for my procedure and left me feeling silly for even calling. I explained again that I had been referred by my doc so she proceeded to take my information. She asked if I met my insurance deductible. I explained that I will have met it after the surgery. She said they verify insurance only once and since I am making the appointment for physical therapy BEFORE the surgery, my balance will not show that the deductible had been met. As such, I would therefore be responsible for paying full price for both the evaluation ($150) and each subsequent visit ($75). I asked if they could hold off verifying insurance until shortly before the evaluation appt. She said she is not the only person working the front desk so someone else might end up doing the verification. And, if they had to verify insurance more than once, "that's all we would be doing all day long." Unhelpful and unaccommodating. I immediately cancelled the appointment and called my doctor's office for another referral. Also explained my experience in trying to schedule physical therapy with CA Therapy Solutions and suggested they stop referring this company. read more

I've gone to California Therapy Solutions in Newport Beach twice - once for recovery from a rotator cuff shoulder surgery and another time for a pulled hamstring. Both times I felt like I received the best physical therapy possible. Dr. Tiane Mendoza treated me on my most recent PT. I had surgery this year with some complications and as a result I developed a very painful, chronic neck problem. The staff at California Therapy was excellent and they helped me get back my mobility while greatly diminishing my pain. My therapist, Mike, is highly trained and with physical therapy and training me how to do exercises I can easily do at home or work, i feel in control again. Everyone at this location was knowledgeable, professional, compassionate, and helpful, from the administrative staff to the therapist assistants. It was very easy to get appointments and they were always flexible whenever I had to reschedule. I highly recommend this location. read more

Over the years I've needed physical therapy from time to time, so I have some experience in judging the skill of various therapists and the PT companies for whom they work. Bianca Saad is a superb therapist -- she has a comprehensive understanding of the body's physiology and its complex interactions. She is skilled in diagnosing the source of a problem and developing a therapeutic regimen to correct it. She is extremely knowledgeable and good at understanding what the patient wants to achieve. I have a chronic back condition, which she was able to improve and provided me a post-therapy exercise program to keep it pain-free with greater range of motion. I cannot recommend her and all of the people who work at CTS highly enough, from the receptionists to the assistant therapists who are also skilled and dedicated. read more

Wish I found California Therapy Solutions sooner! I took a fall this summer. Didn't give it much thought until a few days later when suddenly the pain in my lower left back was so intense, I almost had to stay immobile to avoid pain. It just went from a little'grab' as reached down to pick up something, to almost incapacitating sharp pain. For a few days I tried to 'Advil it' /wait it out. Vanity I suppose, thinking I'm only 51- it'll pass... But By the time I got into California Therapy Solutions the next week, I was unable to drive safely and was close to tears. Bianca Saad took charge of my care, immediately recognizing the critical nature of my pain. Gradually she went through am assessment of how I got injured, letting me know constantly that I was not being dramatic; that this was real, serious, but gratefully treatable. In the few weeks since working with Bianca, I am pain free and working to gain strength, that will help avoid this kind of episode in the future. In addition, California Therapy Solutions exceeded my expectations. I had been in PT for a frozen shoulder years ago so I had experiences to compare with. Their Fashion Island location is open, clean and bright. It is not the 'jock' therapy hang out (and, yes, there's a need and other places for that.) All of the staff are attentive, focused and professional. Your time is respected, and in turn, your commitment to keeping up with your home exercises is encouraged, seriously, but gently! Another important benefit to choosing CTS is the fact that they have Saturday hours! Almost unheard of! I would not hesitate to recommend Bianca, and the Newport staff. So, if you are hurting, whatever is hurting, get in there. Run, unless you can barely move! At least, get in there, and then you will be on the way to recovery.
