On a Saturday night after 10PM, it was a good meal and more filling than one would imagine for street tacos not sold by a street vendor. Very flavorful for a brick and mortar shop! I have to thank whoever brotha was working that night (had tattoos). The 7-Eleven next door is very rude in terms of who can park near their shop and oddly have been "allowed" by whoever to designate one singular parking spot as their own (with barely visible, small printed white paint on the ground saying "7-11 Only"). As me and my friends had planned to dine-in, the brotha at Nikos came out and asked, seemingly quite flustered, if I could move my car. He was clear it was not him asking, but due to 7-Eleven and also offered a free soda to apologize for any inconvenience as me and my party had then decided to just order take out instead (there was no other parking). As I was about to move my car, one of the workers from 7-Eleven had came outside which, once again, the brotha working at Nikos told him that I was "okay" and was moving my car. Whoever is instructing their 7-Eleven employees to be bouncers of their storefront parking needs to do better...especially when people were parked outside your store eating in their cars saying, "These are the best quesadillas I've ever had." Needless to say, Nikos Tacos=5 Stars 7-Eleven Next Door=1 Star. I'll plan to go back to Nikos if able to in the near future. Especially since it seemed like such great energy on the inside.

So glad we did! Their zip tacos are on another level! With food prices being high every day, a $5 taco often disappoints, nut not at Nikos they are worth every discontinued penny, crispy, cheese everywhere, and packed with meat. And now that it's a better location for us we are going to add this to our rotation. Also this is a night and day location change, the one is west sac was a little rough, it added to the ambiance but seemed a little sketchy. This new spot is bright and clean, only thing I would change is to have free chips and salsa, that's a big deciding factor for a lot of people

They have odd hours closing at 7pm but worth it to stop by! Since we came in so close to closing, they were out of beans and al pastor but they even offered to make a new batch of beans for us!! Extremely nice of them to offer. We declined seeming it was our fault for the timing. I got their taco salad with steak and my husband got their California burrito with carne asada. I loved my taco salad and the crispy shell was soooo good. We also got their side of chips and guac. They give you a choice between corn and flour tortilla chips! We got a mix of both and they definitely make them in house and fresh to order. They were amazing. The flour was our favorite actually! Guac was great as well. The building is pretty unassuming from the outside since it's in a business park and the inside has a good amount of seating but it is a walk up and order type of restaurant. They do bring the food out to your table, but we were also the only ones there. Majority of the people coming were grabbing it to go. Lastly they have a salsa bar with a good variety of salsa's which I always love! I'll definitely be coming back and trying more of their options.

We didn't come there for that and i think it'll be a long time before I go back. I love the food, but allowing these peddlers to annoy and abuse me customers is not okay. The food is grea, the service is goo-- what a sham.

Let's just say it make sense why the lot is full. The service was beyond reproach. Our server was attentive and detail oriented and never felt us feeling ignored. I couldn't see the bottom of the complimentary chips and salsa and the food came out hot and delicious. The three meat molcajete with traditional salsa verde (a family recipe according to the menu), pinto beans, radish, freshly roasted jalapeño, green onions, and sautéed cactus. Topped with Monterey Jack, Cotija, and Panela cheese was the star of the show. You assemble everything in a nice flour tortilla and you are in for a delectable and savory treat. The portion sizes are generous and the price point given the amount of food is also very attractive. We shared the molcajete and had plenty leftover for lunch the next day. I always wondered why the parking lot was so full but I longer have to wonder and I'll be contributing to the busy traffic in the parking lot because I'll be back for another round of molcajete.
