Just came from this place and I was impressed, the shop is roomy, bright, neat and organized with a good variety of crystals. The customer service was great, the male salesperson adjusted the fit of the bracelets I wanted to my size and helped me find the right size for my son. I am beyond baffled at the way the lady in that store treats human beings. Came in with very bright energy after my sisters tragic pregnancy to buy some tiny trinkets for her health and her child's health who is currently in the NICU. Not only was the energy absolutely horrendous, she was not attentive to me. I had to ask many times for help. Very unpleasant attitude even towards an elderly woman who was very kind and was just having some concerns about an exchange. I had two beautiful heart stones that were very opalescent. I was rushed very very much with this woman. Almost as if I was a theft or not welcome in this store. The anxiety I had leaving the store sent me into a bit of a panic. I would not recommend this shop. La Mesa Blvd has a very pleasant shop names Amethyst Moon I've gone to for years. This one just happened to be closer to the hospital. Very very disappointed and I do not recommend this store to anyone with anxiety or those looking for help in any kinda for she does not seem like a very spiritually kind being. Amethyst Moon has terrific energy and they love everyone who walks through those doors and will sit with you in a fully amethyst chair to ensure you are completely comfortable. So excited to have come across California Gemstones! I have been to crystal shops in La Jolla, at the beaches, different ones in La Mesa etc. and this is my favorite specialty store thus far! They have a great selection and variety of stones and the owner Chuck is warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and kind! It is easy to spend an afternoon browsing here and looking up what each stone means and does (I bring a crystal book to do so) however there is information on the stones printed on display as well. It is a peaceful environment with good energy and I never once felt rushed, unwelcome or uncomfortable browsing and shopping. Thank you Chuck for a great experience. Finally have a chance to leave a real review! Had no idea this place existed until a few days ago! Went in and ended up buying 5 beautiful obelisks to add to my collection. He has a little something for everyone, from cute token bracelets to spheres as big as your skull. Really love how friendly and down to earth everything felt. I can't wait to see the shop when everything is finished. Key factors: His price was on point and on some cases lower than the standard. His selection included rare stones and common pieces. He knows his stuff and will happily tell you about a stone if you ask. It's a new shop, and it needs all the love and support it can get so go in and at least say hi! I met Chuck at his booth at the San Diego Gem Fair. He had a beautiful array of unique sterling silver jewelry, unique crystals, gemstones and fossils. He said he also recently obtained a booth at the Parkway Plaza mall near the Disney store and Bath and Bodyworks (fairly new - about 3 weeks old). I told him I'd have to visit his kiosk because it's super close to where I live. I visited the kiosk yesterday and I was not disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised with the wide variety and jewelry, crushed rocks, and crystals. I bought geodes you can bust open yourself with a hammer at the suggestion of Tony - very sweet guy manning the kiosk that day. My daughter can't wait to open them herself! I also bought my mom some beautiful earrings and a grab bag of minerals ($10 for a large bag) that you can fill to your hearts content. Tony and Chuck are really sweet and personable. They had really great suggestions and their prices are generously fair. If you're looking to stock up on your crystal/mineral collection or looking for a unique gift for someone in your life you should definitely check this place out! read more

This was my first time going to a crystals store and I loved it. They don't only have crystals they have so so many things even jewelry. They're affordable and beautiful. I got a ring which is amethyst and I just adore it. I also got a bracelet which is just so beautiful and has all the crystals to better you. Theresa helped me out so much with all the information on about every crystal. Chuck helped us out with the rings and necklaces and told us much about them. When looking at their raw crystals you can get a $5 bag or $10 and literally pack it, to me that's great! I love it there so much and I'll definitely be going back! read more

This is my favorite Crystal & Gemstone shop in the area. Chuck and Theresa are 2 of the sweetest people! Chuck knows a lot about the crystals and Theresa is soo crafty. (She makes their beautiful bracelets and candles). They are a great team! They have many different kinds of crystals, stone and beautiful jewelry! Their prices are really good too. I scouted a few places around other parts of San Diego, but no one beats their prices. Friendly, professional and a very welcoming team! Great great customer service! We went today to Parkway Plaza and after going to Hollister, as we walk my son and wife went into this gemstones shop. We went in and this older lady was sitting by her desk. As soon as we went in she stood up and started to hover by us. We just continued to just look around. She then proceeded to ask "Can I help you with anything?" I said to her "We are just browsing". My wife then called me and showed me some tigers eyes gemstones bracelets. The lady then came over and said " those are tigers eye". Thinking to myself, I already knew it. She then ask "Do you have any?" My son proceeded to show her the tigers eye bracelet we got from Ross Dress for Less. She then comment "Is that ours? Since it seems one is missing and it we should have three multicolored one and three of the regular ones." How can it be theirs? The bracelet my son has a clamps on them and doesn't even look similar that the one they have. We then said goodbye and left since it's very rude for her to even assume and accuse as of stealing. Her actions and demeanor is very unprofessional. That will be the last time we will ever go inside that horrible place. I will even tell my family and friends not to go inside the shop. Hopefully the owner or management gets rid of this lady, because her customer service is very awful. read more

Love this company. We've seen Chuck at most of the recent street fairs and events around San Diego this year and I can't help but buy something every time. The prices are more than fair and he really seems to know quite a bit about the crystals and stones he sells. I especially love that he give out cards on each stone someone buys to help them remember the stone's name and what they do energetically. You can't go wrong if you're interesting in getting into crystals or already have a passion for them. I see that he now has a space in Parkway Plaza so I will have to venture over there.
