But, I've noticed on certain days the talking amongst the parents has gotten worse. It's super annoying and disrespectful and it's disturbing the flow of the class. Very disappointed. As both a parent and an educator, I couldn't be more impressed with Quartz Hill Karate ! My child…read morehas been attending classes here for 3 years , and the transformation in their confidence, discipline, and focus has been incredible. The instructors are not only highly skilled martial artists but also outstanding mentors who truly care about each student's growth--both on and off the mat. From a teacher's perspective, I see firsthand how the lessons learned in class--respect, perseverance, and self-control--carry over into academics and social interactions. My child has become more responsible with homework, listens attentively, and shows greater patience when working through challenges. The environment at Quartz Hill Karate is welcoming, structured, and positive. Whether your child is looking to build self-defense skills, improve focus, or simply gain a sense of community, this is the place to be. I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a program that nurtures both physical and personal development!

I am 45 years old and have been learning under Master Quinlan for almost three years. My 8 year old…read moreson and 11 year old daughter also take karate here under Master Quinlan. I have attended other karate establishments, but I have never found anything matching the quality of instruction that I receive here. Master Quinlan teaches practical, useful karate and self-defense and belts are earned, not given. In the last three years, I have seen my kid's confidence in themselves grow tremendously as well as my own, and as a father I am beginning to feel confidence in my children's ability to protect themselves in dangerous situations, even at their age. One of the things I respect most about Master Quinlan is that he holds his students accountable, holds them to high standards, and yet maintains such a good rapport among them. As a high school teacher, I understand the difficulty of being able to maintain both high standards and good relationships, but he does an exceptional job at both. Another thing that I respect about Master Quinlan from the perspective of a teacher, is that, just as a good school teacher differentiates instruction for students with different needs, so does Master Quinlan. I have never seen him refuse any student that wants to learn, but rather meet students where they are with the goal of simply making them better, one step at a time. I would highly recommend Quartz Hill Karate to anyone, young and old.

I started sending my son here for their afterschool program in mid October…read more We live in a multigenerational house, so people are home all the time. I found that my son would get home, and immediately plant himself in front of his computer or ipad, and do nothing but watch videos until I got home and had him do his homework. When he was done, back to the screen he would go. EVO provides a great dynamic environment for him to engage with other kids. They help him with his homework, and the TKD program is great for instilling discipline and perseverance. He's made friends, and while he still is a screen junkie, he is able to interact with more kids in a free form environment. It is a bit on the pricey side at $500/mo, but when you break it down to a daily or hourly rate, it's not terrible given the services offered.

When I did try to get in touch, the experience came across as rude and unwelcoming. If this is how potential new families are treated before even enrolling, it makes me question what the experience would be like afterward. I expected much better communication and professionalism.

I loved his slight accent, his morales, the way he knew where he stood. Being 16 years old and impressionable, he really helped mold me into the young lady I am today. He was never in it for the money. He coaches because he loves it. Definitely the BEST training you could get. He's hands down the best coach. The way he teaches and takes time with every student. His knowledge and years of experience. Starting jiu jitsu here was great. Stay loyal. Stay hungry to learn.
