Her schedule was pretty flexible and worked for us since we both work during the week. She is a great teacher and choreographed our dance based on our level. We were super beginner but still was able to come up with a beautiful dance for us. We made sure to follow her advice and practice every day between sessions. One of our friends recommended that we hire a doula to help us with the process... and so the search began. We met with a few different doulas, however as soon as we met Cali, we knew she was the perfect fit for our growing family. We felt very comfortable with her, she was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions, and her beliefs aligned with ours about the ideal birth. In addition, she offered us private parenting classes since our schedules were always conflicting with the hospital's classes we were interested in taking. In all of our meetings before the birth, Cali came prepared and ready to work. However, I always felt like I was meeting with a good friend. When my water broke 1 month early, Cali dropped everything to be at my side (even though it was her birthday!!) She even came to our house first to help pack for the hospital, keep me calm until my husband got home from work, and even installed our car seat (since we were so unprepared for such an early arrival!) I was a little unsure that I was going to be able to follow the birth plan we had put together, to keep things all natural, with no medical intervention, but with Cali's help, I was! She was calm and encouraging through my entire labor, and provided support for my husband as he coached me through a successful, all natural birth. We could not be more grateful. After the birth, Cali constantly checked in on us, and offered advice and help when we were having some difficulties with breast-feeding during her postpartum visit. During the riding test, I was doing okay until I panicked, locked up the rear brake instead of progressively squeezing the front, heard the tire squeal, stopped, and jumped off the bike like a child. I was embarrassed and convinced I had already failed. Without making a big scene or drawing attention to it, they calmed me down, helped me reset, and got my head back into a good place. Somehow, I managed to pass. Barely, but a pass is a pass. The funny part is that once I got out riding on my own, everything they had taught me started to click. The classroom instruction was just as good. They were patient, clear, and genuinely engaged. You can tell they enjoy what they do. The Kaiser lactation consultants were unable to answer why or offer suggestions so we were desperate. Candice responded to my inquiry so quickly and was so knowledgeable, so compassionate and empathetic, and so patient. She offered recommendations for other specialists (our baby had a suspected tongue tie, which is something no other consultant or doctor had even mentioned) and offered ongoing help and checked in after our initial appointment. They were able to coordinate a last minute surf lesson after another company flaked on us the morning of our lesson. My 11 year old granddaughter's lesson was with Aaron, who graciously showed up with a wetsuit, a board and a great attitude. All with barely any notice. She opted not to wear a wetsuit, but hey she's a polynesian girl and loves cold water. He explained safety, body positioning on the board, foot positioning, paddle and pop up. Actually he gave more instructions than I listed. She understood well, so this part of the lesson was pretty quick. They walked looking for a spot. Aaron explained the different types of waves pointing them out to her as they appeared. He picked a spot that was empty and showed her how to put the board in the water, which may sound silly but it is important. She paddled out, ducked and dived, turned, popped up and rode in on her first try. They stayed out for quite a while talking in between. Sometimes she wiped out and sometimes she looked like she'd been surfing since birth. After about an hour and half she needed a break and suggested he go out so she could watch. As impressive as he was, she KTFO!!!! LOL! Just a quick little nap after waking up early and all of her hard work in that cold water. When she got up they went out again. This time she needed very little assistance. It was great!!!! Now we can surf together. All in all I'm glad the other surf school I booked with flaked on us. This was a great experience all around. I'm planning on getting a lesson set up for one of my grandbaby's friends soon. The more the merrier right? I totally recommend the Sal Y Sol surf school for a great experience!

I can't even see my daughter in class from the angle I'm sitting in . So, declutter and increase seating, profits will double.
