Very refreshing, lots of vegetables and the octopus is tender. The patate benie had perfect poached eggs, tender pork belly and crispy potato squares. Loved the sauces. As always if given to opportunity to have a michelada in a Mexican restaurant I will. Once our drink order and appetizers were placed we had a little bit of time to enjoy our surroundings. The restart is quite small and the staff is extremely friendly and personal. Every time someone came to check on me there was a big smile and light conversation which made the time spent here great. Prior to coming in I had read that fajitas were considered a speciality in the restaurant and that's what I decided to order with a tortilla soup and a ceviche to start. All the food was extremely fresh and tasty and really tasted authentically Mexican which to me made this place somewhere I want to come back to often!

We got to choose our table and loved the cozy nooks by the windows, so naturally, we picked one of those. This restaurant truly impressed me. They offer a wide variety of tacos with great options for everyone. We tried both soups on the menu, and they were absolutely delicious. Since it was Taco Tuesday, we opted for the taco platter, which was an excellent deal. I had the barbacoa "tacos" even tho they would really be called flautas, they were fantastic. The service was exceptional! Attentive and friendly staff who made the experience even better. They also have a $50 set menu that I can't wait to go back and try! If you're in the Verdun area, El Sabor de México is a must-try!

Feeble excuse from the waitress and none from the manager of the restaurant, the founder's son as it happens who made a show of throwing the bill at me and my guests! To him I shouldn't have said to the waitress "sin carne" as an emphasis to the fact that I wanted cheese instead of chicken since "carne" means "red meat" in Mexico. One problem though, red meat was not an option (cheese/chicken/vegetables were)! Beware fellow vegetarians and double back before setting a foot inside!

The restaurant is located not far from Frontenac metro station so very accessible. We were welcomed with smiles and were seated very quickly. I ordered a homemade margarita, their chicken burritos, as well as a children's menu with apple juice. Everything was succulent, very well seasoned and the chicken was juicy. Unlike the reviews I've read, the wait was not too long considering that everything is prepared on spot. But what really made me enjoyed my experience there, even more, is the attention paid to the customer: when my drink arrived my son asked to have the same (*rolling my eyes*), of course, the waitress explained that it was for adults only but then she came back with a lemonade presented in the same way. To thank her my son gave her a drawing and in return, she offered us a share of cheesecake each. She stayed chatting with him about school, etc. and my son was very happy. I had an awesome meal and an awesome customer experience, needless to say, that we will soon be back!

We got wind of this place from a local travel vlogger who made a convincing case to try it. We were on our way to the Berri-UQAM metro station when we stopped here without a reservation on what looked to be a popular restaurant row on Rue Saint-Denis. Seated on the back terrace, we first ordered the C$6.50 Lattes (Photo 10) and went for the same breakfast, the C$17.95 Spinach Omelette with Peppers, Cheese and Mushrooms. It came with a mixed green salad, all of it drizzled with crema (Photo 9). The eggs were well turned, and all the veggies tasted fresh. They offered Mexican standards like Huevos Rancheros, as well as sweeter options like Dulce de Leche Pancakes and a Tiramisu Martini Espresso. We, however, showed restraint for a change.
