The employees are always friendly and helpful, and they're very knowledgeable. I'm just getting back into sewing after many years, and have asked them a lot of questions about what supplies I need and what fabrics will work for my projects, and they're always very patient and helpful. I haven't taken any of their classes yet, but they offer a wide variety of in-store classes for all levels. Make sure you sign up for their rewards program, because if you're like me you'll always leave with a few more things than you came in for! They don't have their own dedicated parking, but there's plenty of street parking in the area.

Hayes is a store for everything sewing machines, including machines, threads, accessories, and classes. I am a beginner, and I'm so glad that I got an in-person recommendation from an expert on what kind of machine is good for me. I picked up a gently used machine that works like a charm for my basic needs (hemming, small repairs, etc). This machine was as good as new, including with the manual and accessories, but for less than I'd pay for a lower quality new machine. The staff here are so friendly and knowledgeable. I look forward to taking classes sometime in the near future. This is a must-stop place if you sew or want to learn to sew.

When I came upon a security device that said that I needed to get sales assistance on it. So, I walk over to the counter about 4 ft from where the item was. Saw three ladies chatting, two looked like employees and the other looked as if she was a customer. Waited until they were done talking/when they asked me "what did I want?". I said I am seeking assistance with a product over here. "What is it?" I explained that it was an upholster tool that says that I need to get sales assistance.
