Caliber Home Loans has been my mortgage company for several years. Over the past week I've tried to get in touch with their staff to refinance my home . I've called three times and asked for supervisor and have not gotten a call returned. Their refinancing staff Who wouldn't even answer basic questions said that someone will contact me within 48 hours which never happened. Unfortunately with Caliber Home Loans you are forced to use only one loan officer that is Assigned to your account. I talked with people on the refinance team and all of them told me that they could not help me because I had to go through the one loan officer who was not returning my calls. Unfortunately they seem to have lost their way with customer satisfaction. . I would not recommend going with Caliber Home Loans for any mortgages in the future if you want to be able to talk to someone in a responsible amount of time. read more

A totaling disappointing experience. We were given the bait and switch. We were told that they would match the competition. We locked rates and then rates dropped. They never came anywhere close to matching rates. I even got written offers from their competition that they would not match. They delayed any communication with us so we did not have the time to switch to the competition. We found the office rude and lacking in detailed follow-up. Numerous times they called or emailed us and said that we urgently need to get them information. When we reminded them that the information had already been emailed...the only response was "Oh, I see that email now". I can not recommend this business after the service we received. read more

At the beginning of 2017, I was interested in moving. I'd worked with Jennifer North a Mortgage Broker with Caliber Homes previously, and she was helpful and secured a loan that allowed me to purchase my second home. I reached out to Jennifer North w/ Caliber Home Loans to buy my third home, and she provided me with a pre-approvals to buy a house in the range of $575,000 and $600,000. I provider her my 2016 tax returns and K-1's when she came to my place of business to retrieve them. She encouraged me to sell my house and acted as if she was working on my behalf to secure a loan for the new home I was going to purchase. I sold my house, and was waiting to be approved for my new home and was surprised that I was denied. Jennifer North explained that it might be a little tight as my income had fluctuated somewhat from my previous mortgage. She had me thinking it was approximately $20,000 or so dollars off the mark. I was working with Jennifer North with Caliber Homes Loans from 1/2017 until 11/2017. I did not find out until she stopped taking my phone call or responding to my text messages and emails that she was lying to me for 9 months. I reached out to another mortgage broker who explained that my K-1's had changed so drastically that she did not understand why Jennifer North with Caliber Home Loans would provide a pre-approval for a loan in the range of $575,000 to $600,00 when she saw that it was evident that I was nowhere in that range to purchase a home. I was actually in a price range of $300,00 -$350,00. She also explained how unethical and reckless Jennifer North with Caliber Homes was to provide pre-approvals in a price range that she knew would never be approved and encourage me to sell the home I was currently in when she knew that I would be denied for the loan I had a contact on at the time I was denied. I am now homeless with my children as Jennifer North felt comfortable enough telling me about her personal issues with her ex-husband but failed to do her job and provide me with the appropriate price range. Additionally, I lost a $2,000.00 deposit due to her immoral actions. Jennifer North continues to lie that I did not provide her with the tax returns and K-1 for 2016 instead of being a decent person and just stating that she did not read them in the 9 months she was working with me. I have reported her to government agencies that don't care about the consumer any longer, so I had no other recourse than to provide information to inform consumers that you should be extremely cautious should you decide to seek a home loan with Caliber Home Loans or forced to do so with a mortgage transfer. Jennifer North and Caliber Home Loans are unethical and misinformed me leading to a loss of time, housing and money and I have the email and text messages to back that up. read more
