Giving 2 stars because despite the horrendous communication and extreme delays, they did a good job repairing my car. I dropped my car off on December 16th, and it was not ready until January 20th. Before I ever dropped it off, we paid in advance specifically so the parts would arrive beforehand and the repair process could be expedited, as the shop knew we were on a tight timeline. Despite this, I was repeatedly told my car would be ready by a certain date, only to arrive and be told it would take another week. This happened three separate times. Each time, I was reassured that my vehicle was a "priority" and that they were "expediting the process," which turned out to be completely untrue. On January 6th, I was told my car was moving to paint. By January 14th, it still had not been painted. When we finally pushed for a real explanation, we were told that the mechanic only works on each car for about an hour at a time before moving on to another vehicle, rather than completing cars in the order they were brought in. This system was never communicated upfront and explains the constant delays and broken promises. While the gentleman at the front desk was kind, everyone else showed no urgency, accountability, or compassion for what was an incredibly frustrating and avoidable situation. The lack of transparency and repeated false timelines were unacceptable and caused major inconveniences. I will never bring my car here again, and I strongly caution others with a deadline to take their business elsewhere. read more

I had Victoria as my adjuster. She was amazing. Answered all of my questions and kept me updated during the entire process. She went above and beyond my expectation. Do not go to Caliber Collision on Ave. M. Part was (supposedly) ordered 2 weeks ago complete with estimate that didn't even have to go through insurance. Appointment was this morning and guess what? No part was ever ordered and the past 2 weeks of needing repair was wasted time and broken promises. Oh, and they couldn't tell me when the part would be available. Problems were obvious from the first visit with having a wait for the guy to talk on the phone which was more important than being there for the customers already in the office. Having an appointment made no difference. The person responsible did apologize and take responsibility and told me this isn't even his job! When I asked to speak with the manager, he told me the GM was out this week. Well I guess we know wherein the problem lies. read more

I am grateful for Caliber's General Manager Jeffrey Woodruff on Ave M St and his service team. My vehicle was repaired at another shop that did NOT do a great job repairing my vehicle. I made it to the business 30 minutes prior to closing. Jeffrey and his team, without hesitation, took my vehicle into the shop area to assess the problem. The TEAM temporarily placed the sensor back into the bumper until the part returned. Thank you, Jeffrey, for explaining the reasoning as to the front collision warning light not turning off and allowing me to feel safe in my vehicle. Beware of them taking your vehicle and keeping it for a very, very long time. They estimated hail damage repairs would take 2-3 weeks and it has now been almost 2 months. My rental car insurance coverage only covers 50-days for repairs and now I will be without a vehicle or have to pay out-of-pocket for the rental car. This should be illegal- telling people they can get their car in for repairs but actually being so backed up they can't even get to your car for another month?!?! And they know people have no choice once their car is in their shop, you can't get it out. They pushed the est. date of completion back at least five times and I don't even know if they'll be able to fix it within the next month. The people who work there are zero help. They agreed with me that it's not fair and not good business practice and then tell me I need to speak with the manager. Who doesn't return phone calls. They are getting a ton of money for the hail damaged repairs they're claiming- but not doing the work in time. I have never written a review for a company before, but this company drove me over that line and into what I assume is their privatized Hell filled with unresponsive insurance agents, untrustworthy technicians, and squeaky rental cars. This is the worst communication I've ever had with a company. If your insurance is only willing to pay for your car to be fixed here, take it elsewhere on your own dime--it's not worth the stress this place will cause you. I understand delays due to COVID, shipping difficulties, etc. I want the work on my car to be done well and not rushed. However, when I have to drive a round trip of almost 2 hours to get my car from this place and there is no communication about when my car will be ready unless I initiate it, I get annoyed. First, my car was supposed to be ready on Fri 4/22. I planned with a friend to get a ride, took off work to make the trip in the afternoon. A few days in advance, I call and confirm. The DAY OF, I receive a call saying that, sorry, my car won't be ready until Wed 4/27. Fine. I find another friend to drive me down Thurs, because I am busy all day Wed. On Wed I call and learn my car won't be ready until Fri. I can't come on Fri, the place is closed on weekends, and I am busy M-W 8-5, so I won't be able to make the trip until Thurs 5/5. He was understanding and offered to come in Sat morning, 4/30, from about 9am-12pm. On Fri 4/29, I call to confirm at 3:30. They say they'll call back in a few minutes. At 4:30, I call them. They say they don't know if my car will be ready and are waiting for parts, but they'll call me back by 5:30. At 5:30, still no call. I try calling, but it goes straight to voicemail because the place is officially closed. At 5:45, I receive a call and learn that my car won't be ready Sat morning as promised, but in the afternoon. I explain that I'm not sure I can come in the afternoon, because I made other plans upon learning I could get my car in the morning. I ask if the morning could work. The man explains that it's a maybe, he can't predict if his technicians will come in Sat morning because he doesn't monitor their Fri nights. He tells me he'll call me at 8am on Sat to tell me what time Sat my car will be ready. At 10:30, 2.5 hours after I was supposed to be called, I call. Straight to voicemail. I assume that my car won't be ready in the morning, because he said he would call me, but his plan was the afternoon, which I have a backup plan for. I drive down that afternoon with a friend only to find that nobody is even there. I attempt a call and, sure enough, voicemail. I might be a psych major, but even I can't read minds like Caliber seems to think. I call on Mon at 7:30, right when they open. My car isn't ready yet, though I was promised it would be ready on Sat. The manager calls. He agrees to deliver my car to Waco. A part is broken that afternoon, so now my car won't be ready until Tues at the earliest. Tues rolls around and my car isn't ready until later in the day, so they can deliver it on Wed/Thurs. He plans to call me Wed at 5pm so we can plan a time for Thurs. Wed at 4:45pm I receive a call. I know something's wrong because they've never once called me a) on time or b) early. I am told that a trashcan has been dropped on my car so it won't be ready Thurs morning. He'll call at 11am on Thurs. It's 11:15am on Thurs when I realize that I'm definitely not getting a call and decide to call myself. I insist that we make a plan for Fri morning even though he indicates it might be done Thurs. We agree on Fri at 11:30. He says he'll call tmrw morning to get my address. I tell him that if I haven't been called by 9, I'm calling them. He says that he has never failed to do what he said (but I'm the one having to call him 20 minutes after he said he would, so is he really that trustworthy?). On Fri, my car arrives in Waco. I have finals and graduation next week. These would be two of the most stressful weeks of my life outside of car issues. Even if this was worked out in the end, I want others to be wary of my experiences. Nobody should have to advocate for themselves to receive common courtesy. This company takes advantage of people's kindness, patience, and understanding. This was not shipping delays. This was a lack of professionalism. Last night, the final night before getting my car back, I thought to myself, 'What if they re-painted my light blue car bright green just because they couldn't find the right shade?' I realized that I would breakdown in front of whoever was handing me the keys, but I would take them. I wouldn't accept if they offered to repaint my car back to the right color for free, because I wouldn't trust them to do it without causing me an unreasonable level of stress. I would wait for the Toyota dealership to have an opening in two months, I would pay top dollar, and I would still have my car back in less time than I would have from Caliber Collision. read more

Was involved in a collision where a driver rear ended my vehicle into another vehicle. Was referred to this body shop per my insurance. Customer service was pretty impressive. They send you frequent updates via text message and constantly keep you in the loop. This has literally been done by no other place I've been to. Car was actually done one day prior to their estimated completion date. They have lifetime guarantee on their repair, which is very nice. Car was cleaned and returned to me in like-new condition. Had a minor blip requiring me to bring my car back on the day of retrieval, but it was a quick fix of less than 5 minutes. Would definitely recommend this location for your car repair needs. The insurance company paying for repairs referred me here to have my front bumper replaced, and I was not disappointed. Scheduling appointments was easy, and they have a working relationship with a rental car company in the area, so I was able to get a shuttle back and forth. The estimate did increase by more than $100 by the time it was finished - insurance paid, so it wasn't an issue for me, but is worth noting. They also tried to give the car back without attaching the front license plate (ya girl does not own a drill), but did place it for me when I asked. No issues, would be happy to go there again. read more

Care was taken here on referral by USAA. The job done was definitely poor and unethical, bordering on criminal. They did not provide an accurate estimate and ultimately cost me thousands on top of my deductable to make a clearly totalled car even drivable again. What's more, the work that was done was incomplete and shoddy. Some parts were not replaced that were wrecked (causing a still persistent loud rattle at speed). This was my insurance preferred repair shop. Got estimate and brought in. Then estimate jumped up from 3100 to 3600. Insurance company then scrapped the car. An accurate estimate would have saved me a couple of weeks w/o the car. I asked about painting an old farm pickup. Cost was the most expensive I found in Temple at 5000. Found different shop in smaller town to paint as I requested for 1700. read more

I wouldn't have left my car there if it hadn't been an emergency. Communication with Jason started off like it would be a good experience, but went downhill daily. He was not thorough during the 1st inspection and I had to wait for a 2nd tire. Originally he said alignment would take 3-4 hours, but when I dropped the car off he kept telling me 1-1.5 hours. I KEPT QUESTIONING HIM BECAUSE OF HIS ORIGINAL TIME FRAME FOR THE ALIGNMENT AND BECAUSE OF MY SCHEDULE. During the alignment, I called him after every two hours and was told each time it should be only 30 minutes to an hour more. I finally got my car back after four hours. The original amount of time he had said it would take. He said he was at the mercy of the alignment shop. And I told him I was at his mercy. And he should never have told me that it would be ready in an hour and a half. Jason never took responsibility for his lack of acceptable communication. Then I received four or five text saying I would get a survey. That survey came through at 7 AM Central standard time and woke me. It was not an emergency text and other reputable companies do not send texts before 9 AM. Yes my car was taken care of and the job is completed but the frustration from dealing with this company was over the top. read more

The waiting area was clean, the staff was friendly and impeccable customer service is very evident. My car was repaired and I'm very happy with the results.
