My father in law car had been repaired at the facility that Caliber now occupies. He had some work done to the front end a year ago and apparently it was not done correctly. This past July, while in Houston the front end, bumpers, grill assembly fell off the car when it scraped a parking bumper. We trucked it to Caliber to assess the damage and have it repaired. Ivan, the center manager, spoke with my father in law, who was very upset, calm him down and treated him in a very professional manner. I came in the next day to visit with Ivan and he went over the entire car with me and explained what he felt happened and we agree that I would receive an estimate. Within a day Ivan and his team had the car put back together! Even though they did not need to stand behind the other company's work, they did. You can't tell that there was an issue with the car, the fit is fine and the car looks like it did when new. I appreciated how this was handled and the fine work done. read more

They are incompetent, dishonest, and have absolutely no idea how to communicate with their customers. The left hand has no clue what the right hand is doing. I would never recommend taking your vehicle here. In my experience, every time I contacted them, they blamed the insurance company, the adjuster, or someone else rather than taking responsibility for their own lack of communication and service. My vehicle sat there for over 20 days without them even looking at it. They couldn't even complete the initial estimate, yet somehow the insurance adjuster was always the one they blamed for the delays. Twenty-plus days with virtually nothing being done to my vehicle is completely unacceptable. The lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism was beyond frustrating. If you value your time and want a shop that actually communicates and takes responsibility for getting the job done, I strongly recommend taking your vehicle somewhere else. This place is HORRIBLE!! They did not repair our bumper properly. Initially, the paint job was horrible. When they fixed the paint issue, the bumper kept popping out (see photo). We took the car in THREE times. Each time, they said that they fixed the bumper. Each time, the bumper popped out again. I have notified my insurance carrier of the poor quality of their repair. On December 23rd, they called and said I needed to find another shop because the truck would not fit in their bay. This is a level of incompetence that knows no bounds. Very happy with Caliber. They communicated well and fixed my car up better than before my accident. It looks brand new, and feels like I'm driving a brand new car again. I have been dealing with CALLIBER COLLISION since the first of the year. They repaired my Colorado but failed to put Z71 emblem on the front grill. I have called several time , contacted main office , even used Yelp format. All I get is a phone call that they would follow up on ot and return my call. Guess what; no return call. If you take your vehicle to get repaired at CALIBER COLLISION make sure everything is right when you pick it up. They drag their feet after the repair. I beginning to worry about if my warrenty is worth the paper its written on. I don't even know where to begin......... I was referred to this "body shop" by the insurance carrier of the person who hit my car in the first place. I didn't want to go there, but they HIGHLY encourage you go with their Preferred shop, soooo, I yielded. HUGE mistake!!! The work was supposed to take 1-2 weeks to complete. Almost 4 weeks later it's "done"......... The Preferred shop they helped me select has ultimately DESTROYED my car. I would have already bought a new one by now, but they don't make my car anymore! It was a limited special edition....making this review all the more tragic! a.) While IN the shop, they "hit a pole" and had to Repair the damage Further b.) While they were buffing the car, the "buffer tore off" my gas cap and cover resulting in a new one having to be ordered and mounted. The new one does Not open easily and adds to the diminished value of my car. c.) I went to the shop to investigate what was happening and found my car in the paint shop, with ALL the windows down. Dust and paint overspray were Covering my seats, dashboard and components.... d.) When I first got my car back, the driver's side panel was practically falling off in my hands! I had to Return the car to have that Repaired. e.) The driver's side lock/unlock buttons were loose; repaired with remounting of the door panel f.) The Fender emblem on the side of the car was mounted DISTICTIVELY CROOKED, reordered and replaced g.) The front headlight on the driver's side was literally falling out of it's mounting. Returned For Repair due to improper mounting after repairs h.) There was Standing Water under my spare tire in the hatch back due to improper mounting of rear break lights after repair. Returned for Repair. i.) Speaker in the trunk dislodged and loose after company accessed spare tire tools for repair. j.) Found thick paint overspray on the INSIDE of my windshield. How, you ask? See point (c) k.) The Cherry on the Top: After ALL NEW Damage was repaired, thankfully at no charge to me....I will give them that....My car was "washed and ready to be picked up." This was on a Friday evening. I worked late and could not get by to get it. So, they opened up on Sat morning for me to pick it up. When I arrived, they are washing it again...even though it was Just washed yesterday... The owner told me "the car got dirty overnight so they are washing it again." When I saw the car, I noted NEW ROCK CHIPS ALL OVER THE HOOD! It looked like someone had peeled out in gravel right in front of my car and caused the new damage! The paint was still peeling the damage was so new!!! The owner tried to tell me it was "existing damage" but that was NOT there when I dropped the car off! We even circled in marker all of the existing damage and this was NOT circled. The owner told me when I dropped off the car that he would take pictures of the car with the marker circles. I demanded to see the photos. They Miraculously had Disappeared!!!! Shocking!!!! This shop ultimately caused more damage than they fixed!!!! I struggle to know they are even in business! Do not Ever take you car there and don't let your friends and family take their cars there! NONE of the above information is even Slightly exaggerated!!! All true! All So Sadly True!!!!!!!! I waited nearly 2 weeks after getting an estimate done for the repair to my truck to start. That was fine and good because I agreed to it. The problem I had was after waiting, I get a call telling me the estimate has gone up another $400 in labor without even taking it apart and starting the work from the original estimate. That is completely inexcusable and it seems to me that maybe they have too much to do or too far behind on bigger insurance jobs and didn't want to mess with my cash repair. I should have read the other reviews before choosing this shop. I can understand why there is so much frustration over this place. Because of an outstanding experience with Caliber Collision in 2016 in Simi Valley, California, we expected high customer satisfaction and customer care to be the standard and a cultural characteristic throughout the company. Caliber Collision in New Braunfels, Texas disabused us of that assumption. We took our vehicle to the location on March 23, 2021 and were assured the work could be completed within eight working days at the most; we were told it more likely would be sooner. Fourteen working days later, we finally received our vehicle. We received a call from our technical service advisor on, Tuesday, March 30th, wherein we were told the vehicle had returned to the shop to reassemble the damaged parts and painting. We were told that we might get the vehicle the next day or on Thursday afternoon at the latest. Having received no call by late afternoon concerning the vehicle's status, we were told that a technician was arriving to make the final repairs and the vehicle would likely be ready on Friday. Having received no updates during the day on Friday, we called late afternoon to be told our technical service advisor was not working that day and they had no information as to the status of the vehicle. We called the following Monday and our TSA said the technician who was to have made the final adjustments had quit the business and they were awaiting a new technician that day and the vehicle would likely be ready late afternoon. The TSA said she would call; she did not. We called on Tuesday and were told the vehicle would be ready at 11:45 a.m. We travelled to the site and arrived at noon. The vehicle was brought around and we commenced our inspection. Despite the obvious damage to the right headlight, which we pointed out on our initial arrival to leave the vehicle, it remained unrepaired much to their surprise. They simply ignored the damage and expected us to receive the vehicle without question; we didn't. We required the damage to be repaired and were assured of the return of our vehicle by late afternoon Wednesday, or on Thursday morning. The TSA assured us she would call to let us know. Having received no call on Wednesday, we called early afternoon Thursday and the TSA said that in washing the vehicle, the power sprayer was brought too close and washed paint off the vehicle and it was being re-painted. The TSA assured us the vehicle would be available by 5:00 p.m. and she would call us; she didn't. Finally, on Friday morning, having received no call, we again called requesting a status. We were told the vehicle was ready; it was. That said, the customer service and quality control at this site was quite unsatisfactory. There is one silver lining, though. The employees were very friendly. However, friendliness does not mitigate the poor quality of service. We do not recommend and we are going to notify our insurance company of this particular issue. read more

About a year ago they fixed some dents on our car and did fine body work. We soon thereafter moved to FL and then discovered that they hadn't installed the lock on the driver side properly so we could not use our key to open the door. Then a year later we were driving through TX and stopped to have them fix it. When I called about it, the customer service reps were condescending and unhelpful. After they hadn't called us back as promised, we brought my car in (with the warranty) and Bo helped us. He was incredibly professional and very personable. They fixed it, no questions asked in 30 min. But we had to return an hour later because they didn't re-attach our interior doorframe properly. Just a lot of hassle. They do the work requested, but consistently mess something else up in the process. read more

The hardest part was waiting for work to start. I had to wait a month before they could start. My truck was safe and drivable just sad to look at the damage for a week. One in the shop it still took quite a while but I expected that as I had damaged 75% of the passenger side. They kept in contact by text (as I requested) and my truck was ready on time it looks amazing and I am very happy with the quality of the work. My only concern is that my Roll and Lock truck bed cover has not worked since I got the truck back. I was told to bring it by and they will see if they did something to it during the repair. I know the track is damaged so hopefully we can come to am agreement on repair. My review therefore is unfinished and I cannot rate them until this issue has been addressed read more

Okay, here is my follow-up review. My car was done on the day they promised. It's beautiful. They did everything they said they would. Plus I guess when I got the quote, he forgot to quote blending the paint onto the door. They called me to tell me that they would cover it since it was their fault they had not put it on the quote. I am absolutely disappointed in the work done on my car. I paid nearly 3k in repairs on my vehicle. When they first brought out my car, it had a bunch of paint collected on the bottom of it, because they forgot to buff it. I had to wait an hour while they buffed it out, which wasn't that big of a deal. Once I got home, I noticed three imperfections in the paint. Two were on the door they had replaced/painted and one up by the fender where they had blended the paint with the door. They agreed to fix the mistakes on the door, but are trying to claim that the dent on the fender was prior damage. I have pictures proving otherwise unfortunately that doesn't seem to be enough for them to fix the mistake. I should also note that I called and spoke with the estimator who marked all prior damage on my vehicle when I dropped it off. He told me he did not see prior damage in that location but that the manager I spoke with gets the final say in all matters. read more

Ok, we haven't had the work done yet but I had to review the service we got when the estimate was being done. We went get estimates on repairing our Vibe from 3 companies. At Caliber we talked with Danny Latourette a service advisor. We went out to look at the car and as he was evaluating the damage he fixed a wheel liner and bumper alignment. He also got some alcohol to remove some paint transfer. He said they would fix the lens of one of the headlights as a courtesy. Plus, he suggested that we might try to remove a couple of small dents by hand. Plus the price was competitive with the other body shops. By the time we were done we were sure where we wanted to get the work done. As a matter of fact, we decided to bring our Toyota in for a paint job that had failed. What did Danny do? He informed us that the body shop that had done the work should repair it (we had already tried to get them to do this). Then he called the body shop and talked to them about it. They agreed. I can't say enough about this level of service and honesty. I hope to follow this review with a glowing one about their repair job. read more

This was absolutely the worst experience we have ever had with a collision center. Communication completely sucked, would tell us they would call us back and never did. We'd have to call them for updates bc obviously they didn't think it was important to update us. Told us we'd have an estimate within the 3rd day the truck was there 2 weeks later still no call. Literally had to be on their asses to get the truck done. Never ever ever going here again. And their job sucked as well they should've replaced a tire on the truck and when we got the truck back the tire that they should've replaced was still on and didn't even tell us. The lights were messed up so my BF had to fix it himself after we paid them to do so. Horrible horrible experience. read more

My truck was ready as promised after I got the Regional Manager and the Production Manager involved because the Service Advisor that was assigned to me always seemed clueless or didn't know what he was doing and I felt was always trying to feed me "BS". The Regional Manager and Production Manager both kept me informed of the progress of the repair. I am very happy with the end result. THE GOOD - Color Match and good communication. THE BAD - The clear coat over spray was very heavy on non-repaired areas and tail lights, they broke the interior trim panel when handling it (which they did reorder after I pointed it out post repair), stripped the bumper trim bolts using the wrong tools, broke the bumper retention tab (assume from yanking off the bumper cover), they informed the rental agency the car was done (the day before it was - blamed it on the rental agency - not sure who's telling the truth), they are very short handed and the repair will take longer than quoted. AND THE UGLY - Windshield registration sticker was taken, They tried to charge my insurance for the repair of the lift gate trim, even for parts and labor not done and the quote was significantly off $2500 vs $4000+ actual cost. Would NOT recommend, there are shops out there who will treat your car much better. read more

Were very nice when we showed up as of victim of someone hitting my jeep. Communication among staff seemed poor since we had to repeat ourselves several times about very specific requests that were never initially fulfilled. Paint blend came back with flaws. Automated text system that gave daily updates about when it would be done were incorrect, which led to me taking off an entire workday waiting around for the pickup call. The past month of trying to contact my rep, Rhea, were difficult as I had to email several times (and then tag a manager) to get a reply. Now noticing i am missing two rubber door stoppers on opposite side of vehicle they worked on. I realize all collision places are like this, and i guess "get in and get out while we collect insurance money" is the industry standard, but that doesn't make it right. Glad they did, Calibern Collison is staffed with real professionals eager to help the customer. Shelly checked me in and was really nice and quick and got me on my way, the secretary was also really pleasant and as I waited for my rental company pick up I was struck at her level of customer service. Really nice to everyone and positive, which is welcome at a body shop. I was offered a drink too, nice touch. My rep was Leo, he communicated regular text message updates and called when I asked questions. I learned he was new and clearly this young man is really trained and proud of his level of service. That put a smile on my face. Leo got the job done for me in 72 hours and his manager, Bo, came out shook my hand and did a walk around with me. Worst body shop experience i have ever received. Car was a 2007 corvette that had front end damage from a hit and run. Vehicle was in the shop for about 4.5 weeks and i never got a call on how the car was doing. I ended up calling them and making multiple trips in person to see the updated work since i could not get a straight answer. Once i picked up my car when it was "done" i took it to another shop and had it lifted to see what parts were replaced. I found out that there were multiple plastic trim pieces that not been installed and were thrown away by the technician. When i confronted the shop about the plastics they basically told me tough luck and offered me "their pricing" for the items, which were about the same price as online. 100% would recommend NOT taking your vehicle to this shop and instead going to 'Town and Country Collision Repair' in Seguin, Tx. They have treated me like a valued customer and took care of all my vehicles needs instead of pushing it outside to make room for the next sucker that walks through the door. Would give it a 0 star review but not sure how. Very frustrated with this shop. read more
