Caliber Collision is hands down one of the most unprofessional and disorganized places I've ever dealt with. The staff is rude, dismissive, and act like you're an inconvenience just for asking basic questions about your own car. They conveniently don't tell you important information until the exact moment you're handing your car over, when it's too late to make other arrangements. No transparency, no clear communication--just last-minute surprises that waste your time and leave you stuck. Instead of explaining the process upfront like a competent business should, they withhold details and then talk to you with attitude when you're understandably frustrated. Customer service is nonexistent, and accountability is clearly not part of their operation. This place is a mess from top to bottom. If you value your time, your sanity, or basic respect, stay far away. Honestly, this location needs to be shut down or completely restaffed because the way they operate is unacceptable. read more

If this was some Hialeah Body Shop I'll understand, yet this a premium body shop that has unprofessional employees. Don't go here, especially if you're black. I am so dissatisfied with the service and professionalism I received at Caliber Collision. The service agent Omar Acevedo did not preform a quality control check on my car before handing it back to me. When I picked up my vehicle from Caliber this afternoon, my front license plate was missing from the front bumper and they couldn't locate it for many minutes. The female manager was dumbfounded and just stood there as two mechanics searched for the license plate. She did not show any qualities of a manager or efficiency. After driving away I noticed my papers and documents from the glove compartment were moved and smashed inside the center consul. Once I pulled over to check the rest of the car I found random car parts left inside my trunk and then discovered the nobs to bring my windows up and down have nicks and scratches. Also, 3 of the 4 tire lug nuts are missing from its case. My sunglasses are also missing. The general manager Marcos Cepeda, was not on-site during this awful experience. Once on the phone with him he reluctantly apologized calling all of this human error. I am shocked he would try to dismiss all of this unprofessionalism as human error. His service agent Omar Acevedo also lied directly to me in person about the car being washed. Most body shops wash your vehicle to better showcase their work, but my car was not washed and you can clearly see the new parts are clean and the rest of my car is not. Because of this unnecessary lie they told, how can I or anyone believe anything else they say or trust the work done to the car. This is unacceptable. Steer clear of this place at all costs. You will do better elsewhere. Here is my experience with this place. I took my truck to be repaired. First Geico paid them to re-decal the truck, and they informed me that they were not able to get the decal. So you did not refund the money for that work to either Geico or me. My truck has a Lund Tonneaus cover which when you repaired the truck was removed and placed back on wrong. Omar who was handling my repairs advised that the cover was not removed at all. That they had taped over the cover. The cover has been on the truck for over 15-years, I drive off and on the highway the cover flies off the back and thank God it held on to one side of the truck or it would have potentially hit another vehicle causing more damage. After calling them I was advised that it was not there problem and they could do nothing. The cover had to be opened to be able to remove the decal that come to the top of the bed. The pictures show it. So when they place the cover back they did not secure it. Do your research befoer you visit these people. read more

My car had a front end collision that happened on November 1st 2021. It's now February 4th. Isaac said I was gonna get my car back numerous times but never did. Finally had said on the February 2nd that today ,Friday the 4th will be the day I get it back. So I called off work so I can pick up the car. They don't work weekends and they close at 5pm. Isaac said "No it's going to be either Monday or Tuesday now." Now I'm just at home off of work. No car. No real end in site as it seems. 3 months of labor. Still waiting. Always a rabbit out of the hat with surprises with these guys. Isaac told me one day in December "We ordered a new radiator, once it comes in you're good to go" They got the radiator. Isaac said "Yeah you see this? This is the computer for your car, we just need one screw to mount it or the whole car won't work" Me: When is the screw coming in? Isaac: "I think we got it in the mail today." Just a couple lines from our dialogue. It's now 3pm February 4th on a Friday and I'm scrambling to get another rental and then I will have to get on the phone with my job to tell them why I might need another day off "Monday or Tuesday". And I bet my car won't be ready by Tuesday. I bet I have spend another $350 a week on rental fees. Not even a sick joke. read more

I couldn't have asked for better service from Caliber. After being in a car accident -- dealing with all that stress -- it's nice to work with a shop that treats you well, gives you the time of day, keeps you in the loop on everything and answers all your questions. I really, really appreciate Caliber's help. They made the fixes to my car ahead of schedule, and knock on wood, everything seems fine with it so far (the caveat being that I picked my car up just today). Do not take your car to this shop!!! Customer service, repair work, communication all terrible. 10 months later have taken it back for the 8th time for them to repair another part they worked on. The car rental situation is a nightmare. I had things stolen out of my car on quick stop ins for fixes. Just save yourself the grief, time and money, insist your repair is done elsewhere. Update: i responded to this distict manager's email and was ignored. No email back, no call, nothing just like when i took my car there. I just had to have my car repaired again after being rear ended. The shop called me everyother day with an update like they said, i got my car back clean inside and out (not dirtier than i dropped it off like calliber), super friendly, my time waiting was important and the car is fixed when they promised. Calliber is a joke along with this district manager who "truly cares". I will say it again save yourself time, heartache, frustration and sanity. read more

I couldn't be happier with my experience at this body shop. My car was hit while parked and sustained some pretty significant damage to the right fender and right passenger door. I contacted my insurance company and they referred me over to caliber collision. At first I was a little hesitant thinking that I should probably take the car to the dealership where I usually get it serviced, however the insurance company guaranteed that any work done by caliber collision would be under lifetime warranty. The woman at the front desk was incredibly nice and worked very fast to get everything set up for me. The rental car was also waiting for me from enterprise once I got there. Everyone including the adjuster that inspected the car were friendly and answered all of my questions. I was in and out of there within 20 minutes. The day after I dropped my car off I received a text message from the body shop with my estimated date for the repairs to be done. I then received a text message every day updating me on the status of my car. My car was ready two days earlier than estimated. Once I arrived to the body shop to pick up my car it was again a very smooth process. I was very happy with the results and my car looked great. It's difficult to find a quality collision shop in Miami that does great work on a high-end itialian sports cars and provides excellent customer service. My experience with Caliber Collision was excellent, great customer service, the repairs were done excellently. From the time I called and arrived for the initial estimate, I was met by Ismael, my personal repair consultant. I was greeted by my Geico adjuster, she was professional and very helpful. Everyone was very clear on what needed to be done and gave me a realistic time frame for the repairs to be completed. A rental car was also set up and made available at the shop. Very easy and made the entire experience very pleasant. Ismael took a ton of pride in the work that was being done to my car as if it was his car. That was nice to see. If being involved in a car accident isn't stressful enough for you, bring your car here ASAP! My car was hit while parked in the early morning hours of March 1. I drove here and 2 other places my insurance recommended to confirm the estimated timeframes. Caliber told me the shortest wait time of appx 5-6 business days so i decided to go with them. The receptionist told me she would call to confirm my appt after she received the info from my insurance company. Never happened. I called my insurance company the next morning and was advised they had already sent the assignment. I called caliber and am told I can bring the car in. I left my car there Tuesday, March 2 with an expected completion timeframe of 6 business days. The technician said he would call the very next day with an update. Never happened. I waited then called around lunchtime Friday, March 5 for an update and was told by a female tech that the original tech was no longer with the company and my car was pretty much ready ; it was being inspected and I could pick it up that day or no later than Monday, March 8. She told me she would call by the end of the day Friday either way. Never happened. I called Monday, March 8 and was left on hold TWICE. I called Tuesday and was left on hold again. I decide to the insurance company on Tuesday and they called Caliber for me. Diego was patched into the line with me and he confirmed that my car was not ready, the completion date was expected to be Monday, March 15. He stated he would do everything he could to move it along faster and that he would call me Monday. I expressed to him my concerns regarding the failed communication, being left on hold after having to constantly call them, and the conflicting info regarding the status of my car. He apologized and promised to call me Monday no matter what. Never happened. I call them Monday about 2 hours before their closing time and am informed AGAIN that my car is ready and being inspected but the release date was now Tuesday, March 16. Its appx 5pm on Tuesday, March 16. Guess how many phone calls Ive received to update me on the reason my car is STILL not ready? NONE. read more

Caliber bought Auto Body Tech and moved to that location. Its a shame because the company before was second to none. Caliber did not take any walk in for an estimate. I was willing to wait. And they told me I had to take car to get estimate from Insurance beforehand. Before I would just drop off car and I did not have to do anything. The service before was outstanding. Brought my car in for extensive auto work due to a collision. They were VERY unresponsive as to when my car would be ready, I had to call to get updates & wait on hold forever for Yanty to pick up only to find he was at lunch, on a call or whatever. When the car is ready they never put it on the computer to make sure the computer was correctly hooked up. Takes 3 weeks and of me calling to get the problems from fixed. UNRESPONSIVE! This is one of the worst services I have ever received in my life. Caliber Collision is a disgrace and I do not recommend it to anyone, not even to my worst enemy. If I had to describe the service in one word: dreadful. The repair was estimated to take two weeks (according to my insurance) and it has taken Caliber Collision well over a month (and still waiting). I never received any updates about my car until I gave a bad review of the service. Ever since, all the information I have gotten has been petty excuses and no real answers. Today I called and asked for the phone number of the manager, and again all I got was excuses. Finally, after talking to three different employees (one of which was rather rude) I got the number. Our Audi was taken in for some bumper work last week. They did a great job. The main reason I'm writing this review is for the excellent customer service. My main contact was a service advisor named Diego; his customer service was outstanding! He was very nice, friendly, understanding, and responsive. He was honest in our conversations and went above and beyond to help me -- when I expressed that we were having an issue with the service at the rental car company (that was part of this repair), he not only offered honest advice on how to handle the situation, but went as far as to call his contact there in order to help resolve the problem. When talking to him about our car, it was clear that he cared about the details. Additionally, our car was ready for pick up when he said it was -- we did not have to wait at any period. Diego embodies everything you'd want from someone working on your car! As a side note, even the short conversations I had with the receptionist and repair inspector were nice and friendly. All in all, I was impressed by Diego's service and would definitely work with him again. read more

Would give negative stars if I could. Dropped my car off because it's Geico shop. The adjuster was friendly, and estimated my car would be ready the next Monday, and offered to make a rental car reservation for me as per my insurance, which I didn't take. Ismael, who was in charge of repairs called me Thursday (three days early!) to say my car was ready. He then called again an hour later to say that he was wrong, and my car wasn't ready. I went Friday to get a rental car so I wouldn't be stranded over the weekend, which I returned on Monday. I was waiting to hear back from Ismael, since my car was supposed to be ready. I called at 4 pm Monday, and he said that my car had been ready for days and that the rental car I got would not be covered by insurance. He then figured out that he didn't call, but texted the wrong number and admitted I had never been informed that my car was ready, and blamed the front desk. I went the next morning to get my car - and guess what - IT WAS NOT READY!!!! Only after I got upset and yelled (Ismael wasn't even there) did try fix the problem and send me on my way. I pointed out to Scott, the manager, that they had a reputation for bad service and he sheepishly asked me not to write a review. AVOID! read more

Let me start by saying this is a bad example of what happens to a small business that gets rolled up under a large corporation platform. I have used Ocean Collison in the past many times to repair and touch-up my cars. Every time was as good as the previous one with great customer service and workmanship. That was until today. I should have known there was a change when I called to see if I could bring in one of my vehicles for a quote and the receptionist reluctantly agreed and reminded me that that they were going to be closing at noon since it was Saturday. I rushed over to respect their time as quickly as possible (15mins). When I arrived I informed her that I was the gentleman looking to get a quote. She asked me what the vehicle make was to which I responded Land Rover. She called out for one estimator who quickly redirected the request to another. The lower level estimator came out and announced $5000 in an attempt to joke that he estimated the vehicle without seeing it. I played along and responded that that may actually be cheap for what I was looking to do. When we proceed outside I advised the estimator that I was looking to restore my 2004 Land Rover Discovery 2 to which he immediately replied we don't restore vehicles. Confused I asked is this a body shop? I want to change some exterior trims and paint the entire vehicle. To which he responded how much do you have in mind to pay which I felt was a stupid question since I was bringing the vehicle to him to get a quote so, I responded "what it cost?" He went on to tell me that the paint job alone was going to be $7-$8k plus which I found crazy since when I called earlier in the week and was told a complete paint job would be around $3k for my make and model. I got the sense this employee was not interested in servicing me so, I said if you are not interested in the job I understand. He said it's not that but, I want you to know it will be expensive. Considering this is one of a collection of cars I owe I felt as though he was passing judgement on me because the vehicle was dated. Which is completely unprofessional for him to assume my financial situation based on the make and model of my vehicle. So, I thanked him for his time and directed him back to the AC of the office to finish out the remainder of his day. He tried to explain that he didn't think it would be worth the cost to repair the vehicle to which I reminded him what I do with my money is not his concern. I walked to my vehicle as the estimator continued say ok sir thank you. It is a huge disappointment when employees forget that they are there to service customers. Without customers the business losses and eventually the employees lose. As a business owner myself I know how hard it is to get a new customer and how important it is to keep current ones. I feel sorry for this individual and his co-workers with this same ungrateful attitude. This lack of gratitude for the opportunity to service a customer will only lead him to disappointing future and definitely not a financial position which affords him the freedom to spend his money on things he appreciates for what they are to him rather than their value to others. This business will not survive the next economic downturn with employee like this so, I pray he works on his resume for that next job and keeps on mind the technological shift currently underway in the transportation industry moving more and more to paying for rides and vehicles that drive themselves. This shift is certain to lead to lower accidents and a decline in the demand for Autobody repair in the future. 10 years ago there was no iPhone but, today there is a lot less demand for pocket cameras, GPS, calculators, etc. Today we have uber and others in the pay for ride market. Caliber Collison has been a nightmare from start to finish. First of all, their communication is horrible. They called me initially after the insurance had inspected the vehicle and told me that I had to pick up my car because I had told the insurance that I wasn't proceeding with them. This was false as no such conversation had ever happened. Then, after a two week delay ok the vehicle they said that it was our fault because we took so long to decide to fix it. Another lie. I was finally told the vehicle would be ready in a Friday, even received text messages advising of such, but car was not released until Tuesday because they had not received payment from insurance. This is a body shop that was a preferred Progressive body shop and they knew they would be getting payment. The total delay cost me two weeks worth of car rentals. When my wife inspected the car, she noticed a small plastic cap cover missing next to the shifter. She pointed that out and was told "Oh - that was never there. We can call insurance if anything to see if they will replace it." To top it all off, the day after I picked up the car, I tried to unlock it with the physical key at the keyhole (not the remote) and the car would not unlock. Tried with second key, same issue. When I call Caliber to see if someone can come out to help me, their response was "Well that was done by Honda. It will take us three hours to get there" - ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Lastly, the individual that was assisting us through out the process, Jose, is very argumentative and continuously pointing fingers. Any time we called for a timeline he pointed fingers either at us, Honda, or Progressive. He would talk over us and basically make it seem like we were constantly wrong. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a body shop. I would never use them again and definitely would not recommend them to anyone. I've been to this location when it was Ocean CADILLAC collision center. THEY were wonderful. I had an accident and wanted the awesome service I had received in the past. Upon arrival I see it's a new company. I asked if it had kept the same people and was told yes. So I took the chance. Boy am I upset I did!!! Not good at all. They kept my car over 33 days!!!! Rental that was covers by my insurance ran out. They kept amending the parts and service needed and kept blaming my insurance. When I finally get my car back...the hood wasn't on correctly (up too high by windshield) some side strips were now sticking up where they weren't pre-accident and the hood had the worst orange peel you could imagine. I wish I could give them -5 stars. I came back for the adjustments (they told me it would only take a few mins. I was there for two hours waiting on a car that they had for 34 days!! If you're looking for good body shop...steer clear of this place. The original shop was referred to me a very close friend that sells cars. I doubt he will ever send a soul here again. read more

BEWARE! EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. Caliber caters to insurance companies - their labor prices are much higher if you pay out-of-pocket. An estimate for a small scrape on my left front bumper was estimated at $1,780.59. For the same work, Ford dealership came in at $654. I will never do business with Caliber again. They claim that rates went up in a year. Do yourself a favor - go elsewhere. read more

My wife and I had our new BMW repaired recently at caliber collision. Their paint and body work was exceptional.The car received extensive damage when a large SUV hit us. The BMW was in the shop for 2 months when we got it back it looked and drove like new. Jesus Marcos at Caliber handled our car in such a professional way updating it's progress on a biweekly basis. I have had several minor repairs done at Caliber in the last few weeks (e.g., AC recharge, lift support replacement). Both times I dealt with Jay and I could not ask for better service. His upbeat attitude was quite a breath of fresh air in Miami. The wait was very short despite the high volume of customers. Took my car in to get fixed, they told me it will be done by Monday, when I go in they refuse to give me my car until my insurance company sent confirmation of payment.. that should not be my fault as they assured me they would handle everything with the insurance. Plus my car was not even done even though they told me it was done. Finally after being done and receiving payment I go to pick up my car and a part was missing which they charged me for, my tires had low air pressure as well as my ac not working even though it was perfect when I gave them my car. Not to mention my car was dirty. All along I was paying for a rental out of pocket. Our service advisor Ricky was not very helpful, had no answers for me and was in a way rude. Front desk staff was also rude, put me on hold and hung up on me. The manager Luis helped in the situation but overall the experience was horrible. The process was very stressful and unpleasant.
