We certainly would have gone to a collision shop that was closer to our home, but, we chose the Laguna Niguel, California Caliber shop because a friend who was an automotive claims adjuster for an insurance company recommended that particular location due to favorable experience that he had. Also, the Caliber shops were on the list provided to us by Travelers Insurance company. When we dropped off our car on Monday, April 27, 2026, we were told that it would be ready four days later on Friday, May 1, 2026. After receiving the first of a series of notifications that the work was being delayed, we said to the service advisor that someone there had apparently "dropped the ball" and she agreed. One of the more recent delay notifications stated that the car would be ready on Monday, May 18, 2026. When we called in on Monday, after not hearing anything, we were told that the car was done, that it just needed to be washed and that we would be receiving a call sometime between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, to advise us that the car could be picked up. As with all of the previous promises, that did not prove to be true. The car was apparently ready sometime later that afternoon and so we went to pick it up on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, after being told that the quality control inspection had been completed and that everything was fine. Upon inspecting the vehicle, we discovered that the front left turn signal was still not working. The shop took care of that and assured us that the turn signal was working the previous afternoon and that somehow something happened to make it stop working in the meantime. Needless to say, we are very displeased with the fact that we were given many notifications of delays in getting our car done and that, after being told that we would have it back in four days, it actually took 23 days. We did not have insurance coverage to obtain a rental car during that time and it was a great inconvenience to go so long without the vehicle. When we asked the service advisor on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 how we were going to be financially compensated for the loss of use of our vehicle for that extended period of time, she said that she would talk to the manager and have him call us. We never got such a call, so the question was asked again later in the day, and we were then told that the only compensation we could receive would be reimbursement for a rental car, if we had rented one. Needless to say, we didn't rent a car because we didn't have insurance coverage for that, we were told that we would only be without the car for four days, we never expected that it would be anywhere near as long as 23 days and, of course, we didn't know until after the fact that we could have been reimbursed for a rental car. read more

I came in on a Friday afternoon & aside from the receptionist, the office was empty. I asked for an estimate to replace an OEM wrap on the b-pillar on a Toyota Highlander I just purchased. It was faded & I wanted to replace it with the same one from the Toyota factory. I fixed one of my other vehicles here previously & although they didn't do the best job, I came back because this was a small job & Caliber is right down the street from my house. I was helped by Victor, who came to take a look. I told him I was paying out of pocket & wasn't sure if this was something they would do, so if not, asked if they could refer me to someone. He said he would Toyota for pricing & said they could do it, but they would need my vehicle for 1-2 days. I asked for a written estimate & he said he would send it over within a few hours. He never sent it. Giving them the benefit of the doubt because I came on a Friday afternoon, I called the following Monday. Victor said he would have the estimate to me in a few minutes, but just like Friday, I never heard from him. If he had said that it was too small of a job for them, I would have understood, but the fact that I didn't receive a response at all shows that customer service isn't a priority here. I was ready to move forward and pay out of pocket, but being ignored left a poor impression. Imagine actually having your car in their shop & trying to get an update or response regarding your vehicles status. Terrible experience with Caliber Repair Shop. They gave me an estimate of $2,900, then after I sent them the insurance quote, they suddenly said they could do the same service for $900. That makes no sense, and it leaves me wondering whether the first estimate was wildly inflated or whether the cheaper job would mean corners are being cut. I called to drop off my car expecting a straightforward process, especially after they told me they would handle the insurance negotiation, but the numbers changed in a way that felt dishonest and unprofessional. If the same service can be quoted at such different prices just because I mentioned "I have a quote from insurance," then something is seriously wrong with their pricing. I've been coming to this location for all of my autobody repairs for years, but unfortunately this will be the last time I do business here. Their customer service has declined significantly, the quality of repairs has diminished, and their work warranty has proven to be little more than an empty promise. My vehicle repair took longer than originally estimated due to an issue they later admitted was their own fault. However, because I was paying for my rental out of pocket rather than through an insurance company, I was not compensated for the additional three days of delay. To make matters worse, the vehicle was not test-driven to verify alignment. When I returned to report the issue, I was told that alignment was not covered under warranty--even though the impact was directly to the tire, clearly warranting closer inspection of the axle and wheel alignment. Throughout this experience, Steve, the manager, displayed an arrogant attitude and treated me as though he were doing me a favor by repairing my vehicle. Beware of how this location is managed--profit appears to take priority, with very little consideration given to the customer. read more

after bringing two vehicles and getting a great service, this third time everything turned into a nightmare. I guess do to the latest complaints against this company now they are making customers to sign up a form while you think is regarding an estimate and later on, they had taking your vehicle apart without your verbal authorization. To get my car out, I have to pay lot of money and they wanted to charge me even more to assembly back in and Since I refused the second part the manager/owner made me contact a towing company to get my vehicle out, which involved more money otherwise they will keep it and more storage expenses. I don't recommend nether approve this location unless you are aware of possible unfair charges and hiding rules that can become really expensive, stressful and difficult dealing with this company. read more

He helped in not only a quick and beautiful rebuild of my bumper but also giving me pointers on how to save time and money with a rental. My original eta for repairs to be done on my car was 11/28 and he had my car done by 11/21, shaving off extra time and money spent on a rental car. After my vehicle was struck by another vehicle, the other driver's insurance company (USAA) instructed me to get a repair estimate from Caliber Collision. I called Caliber Collision and made an appointment for May 20th. When I arrived at Caliber Collision on May 20th, I waited fifteen minutes to be greeted. Photos were taken and I was told they would email the estimate to USAA the same day. The estimator added that USAA's system is glitchy, and that it might take three days for USAA to forward the estimate to me. I asked the estimator to copy me on the email to USAA so that I could obtain the estimate sooner. She agreed. After calling USAA and Caliber Collision multiple times between May 20th and May 31st, I still hadn't received an estimate. Meanwhile, I took my car to Precision Collision for an estimate, even though they aren't contracted with USAA. Precision Collision emailed an estimate to me within an hour. I called Caliber Collision again on JUNE 3rd and spoke with Jordan who finally initiated the estimate. Big thanks to Jordan for being the only Caliber Collision representative who helped me. It took 15 DAYS to receive an estimate that was promised the same day. Adding insult to injury, Caliber Collision's repair estimate was $1,950 compared to Precision Collision's estimate of $5,300. A third collision company confirmed the damages are much, much higher than $1,950. USAA and Caliber Collision are beyond disappointing. read more

I brought my Audi A4 to get an estimate for some rear minor bumper damage that required paint and a bit of work. Caliber's estimator who could not have been more than maybe 25 years old acknowledged it was not a lot of work. He then quoted me above 2k on the spot. The exact quote would come out to be $2800. He told me I needed to have my rear sensors calibrated even though the car got scraped at maybe a few mph in a parallel parking spot. Nothing wrong with the sensors mind you. Cameras worked perfectly. He was self assured and kept reiterating it was a safety hazard and needed to be done. I took it to another shop nearby and they did my entire bumper, flawless work, for a fraction of the estimate. Didn't try to upsell me on some BS. Caliber is accustomed to working with insurance. They will try to rip you off at this location. Never working with this Caliber again. And I have taken my cars to other caliber locations many times. Stay far away from these guys, they are crooks. Train your people correctly and don't try to rip folks off of their hard earned money just because business will slow in the industry as your team member so aptly identified. read more

Ok. I left a review for the people at caliper. But I was returning because I saw a little tiny nick on my bumper. Went back to caliber and they said it was there before the accident. Which they were right. But manager Brian Prendergast came out and said that will not do they want the customer to be completely happy. So he gave me some options. I can have the bumper repainted or touched up with some paint. I opted for the easy fix because it was there before my accident but Brian said that didn't matter they want me happy. He was so nice and made me feel very comfortable that I just would recommend this place to anyone that needs car body repairs. They are the best. From Mike to Augusta to the manager Brian. I bought my dream car a little over a year ago and a few weeks ago somebody t-boned me in a gym parking lot. They damaged the driver's rear door and my tire / rim was pushed in and scratched which caused my alignment to be off as well. I was very sad, because my car was in mint condition. I came across Caliber Collision and they were able to bring my car back to the pristine condition it was in. The entire staff made my experience super smooth and peaceful! I basically did not have to do anything. They handled everything from the moment I dropped my car off. They arranged for me to be picked up by the car rental company and I was able to have a car rental for the entire time my car was in the auto body shop. Alan went above and beyond and made sure all the damages to my car were repaired and replaced, including my expensive rim!! He did daily check ins and informed me each day with the work that was being done to my car. A few days after I picked up my car, he followed up with me to assure that everything fixed and making sure there were no future problems. Please be aware that the people working in the one in Laguna Niguel do not know about insurance and tell you things that are not true. I dealt with Stephanie and she kept telling me about not worrying about keeping the rental as they were working on it since I was hit by the other person. The old manager is no longer there and the e new manager Steve and regional manager Chris would not stand by what there employee was telling etc. The day I got my car she was pushing for me to give them a good review which I did not knowing that they would not stand by what they represented to me. So BE aware!!!!!!!! I will inform the BBB and the department of insurance. I will NEVER use them and will inform every one I know not to either !!!!! read more

Absolute joke. I made an appointment for an estimate. I arrived on time and the estimator, Alan R, came out and looked at my truck and told me they couldn't fix it because it has aluminum panels. He never explained why they couldn't do the estimate, I think they could have because the labor rates, materials, and hours are all dictated by the insurance companies. I asked him why they didn't know they couldn't fix my truck before I arrived so they could send me to the right location and he tried to BS me by saying some models had them and some didn't. I told him it was true that some did have aluminum panels, but you could tell which ones by model year and they had all this info from the insurance company. He sent me san juan capistrano, which is not exactly "just up the road" as Alan tried to tell me. I asked him before I left to check to make sure they could see me because it's a Friday afternoon, and I was going to be pissed if I drove further away from home after leaving work early only to find out they can't look at my car and he said "sure, no problem." You can already guess what happened No one was available to do my estimate. The women at counter didn't even care when I explained it, offered no apology, and then even tried to rebook me to come back! If you can't respect my time, there's no way I'll trust you to respect my vehicle It's a hard "no" for me. read more

My 2014 Ford Fusion was in bad shape when I brought it into Caliber Collision. Keyed on the trunk and door, and recently in a fender bender where my license plate absorbed most of the impact to my front end which became a mangled mess. Top that off with a chain-reaction rear collision, and my car needed help. Progressive Insurance recommended Caliber Collision to do my repairs. This was a tricky car because it's a rarely seen, limited edition dark, metallic green color. The auto techs were able to match it precisely and the car hasn't looked this great since the day I bought it. A special shout out to Matt Murray, my service advisor who did a fine job, and the auto tech Kurt who is an absolute expert on paint, repairs, and auto body. He was pointing out things I hadn't even noticed before and "knows his stuff," as my dad would say. With Enterprise rental just a few doors down (as a tip, rent the Hyundai Ioniq if you can, that car moves fast and gets 60 MPG), you can't beat the convenience, professionalism, and fine work this shop does. read more

I am writing this review to express my extreme disappointment with the service I received at your body shop. I had high hopes when I scheduled an appointment with your establishment, but the experience I had left me utterly frustrated and appalled by your lack of professionalism and respect for customers. I arrived at your body shop on Thursday morning for my scheduled appointment with technician Gustavo. He took pictures of my car and assured me that I would receive an estimate within 24-48 hours, both for my own reference and for insurance purposes. I didn't hear back on Friday, and on Monday morning, having received no communication whatsoever, I called the front desk for an update, and they assured me that Gustavo would reach out to me... but again I didn't hear back. I didn't want to waste any additional time so I decided to ask my insurance to send the paperwork to a different body shop. At the new shop, within a matter of 20 minutes, they provided me with a written estimate, something your shop failed to accomplish even after 5 days of waiting and phone calls. I called your shop on Tuesday to relay this lack of communication from Gustavo, asking to speak to a manager, but they told me the manager was occupied. As soon as I mentioned that I planned to leave a negative review, the same person quickly handed the phone over to the manager (this blatant lie of the manager being busy made me even more frustrated). The manager failed to listen to my concerns, blaming the fact that I changed the body shop as the reason for not reaching out, which makes NO SENSE given I changed the body shop only after DAYS of not hearing back at all about my car. The manager was unapologetic and only defended Gustavo's reputation as their "best employee." I find it perplexing that the shop would pride itself on an employee who fails to deliver even basic customer service, let alone an estimate that was promised within 24-48 hours. I don't know how long this would have taken if I worked with anyone other than the 'best employee'. I find it unacceptable that your body shop not only lacked the ability to deliver on a simple promise but also displayed a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. The combination of lack of communication, and overall unprofessional behavior is simply unacceptable. In light of my experience, I can confidently say that I will never consider using your services again, nor will I recommend your establishment to anyone else looking for a repair shop. I would leave zero stars if I could, but hey gotta abide by Yelp's rules. read more

I got rear ended and was dreading having to go through the process to fix my bumper. I originally went with caliber because of their professionalism and helpfulness over the phone. The staff are all so nice, helpful and explain the whole process. They explain how to do car rentals (enterprise is down the street) and they text/call updates to you thought out to process. Their estimated time to finish was correct and I was able to plan accordingly. When I got back I was able to leave the rental car at the front and they call enterprise down the street to grab the car for you. They did an excellent job with my bumper, and have a lifetime guarantee as long as you are the owner of the car. I definitely would come back here if I ever need it again! read more

I've had nothing but the best service at Caliber Collision. Starting with Jasmine at the front desk, she is extremely organized and detailed oriented, and can explain anything about the paperwork you are signing with professionalism and a smile. It's stressful dropping off your car and she does a great job at putting you at ease. I dealt with Alan specifically for my car and he definitely keeps the communication flowing so that I understand what's going on with my vehicle and the timing of the return of my vehicle. There is an Enterprise Rent-A-Car about 30 seconds down the road and that made it very easy to get a rental vehicle going as they also give you a ride to and from making this a very easy place to drop off your vehicle and pick up a rental and vice versa. read more
