I hate to report of my very disappointing experience with Authentic Auto…read more I have an older vintage 73 Dodge that had power window problems- in particular the driver side window failing to close and stuck open. Jim was friendly and assured me that both windows would be repaired and I left the car there confident I made the correct decision. The car needed to have window regulators ordered and considering the age of the car there were availability problems. Quite understandable if it weren't for the fact that most people want there car back within a reason amount of time. To me reasonable does not mean - not having the car for 3 + weeks for a window repair It is definitely reasonable to me to be unhappy to Jim's response to me when I asked for a time line that the car be ready? The response was in so many words "we will get to it when we can "-not acceptable to most people. Finally after I called his shop and said I've waited long enough and I will come over and get the car-then the car was done in a day later. The cost of repairing the windows was an unbelievable 880 dollars! To me this amounts to be A LOT of money 6+ hours of electrical troubleshooting I do not buy at all. While car electrical is different from equipment I worked on as a maintenance electrician the basic principles still apply. Power goes from the fuse box to the door window switch and from the switch to one plug to the window motor. Hard to believe it took 6+ hours regardless of the shape the overall wiring being in. What made matters worst was when I called to report the right side window did not work I was told it is time to get rid of the ####### power windows. I will agree that hand cranks are the way to go to me though that's beside the point . The car should of had no issues after spending an amount that would be reasonable for a new transmission or a new exhaust system. Paying close to $1000 on a half fast window repair is enough for me to never consider to go back or recommend to others

Jason was extremely helpful and understanding and gave me the help and advice I needed. He gave me an estimate and a quote and even though they had to send it out for repair it came back as expected, working and under the estimate. He kept me in the loop the entire time and helped me keep the repairs within reason due to the value of the car. I can't thank you and Goff's enough. You have a customer for life as a result of my experience. Marty

I wouldn't trust them to cook a frozen fish stick…read more I've had 2 experiences with Reflections. My first was a car that had front end damage. They had to send it out to their regular mechanic for some work. After I got it back the alignment was absolutely horrendous. The body work was acceptable, but here's where I blame Reflections: I took it back to Reflections and explained the issue. They told me to go see their mechanic and explain it to him. Perhaps Reflections should have made initial contact with their mechanic. That's debatable. But I contacted the mechanic myself anyway. The mechanic took it for a drive and verified what I was experiencing. He put it on the lift, looked at it and told me there was nothing wrong. He further explained the problem was something called "torque-steer" - something in the automatic transmission that makes the car pull to one side during acceleration. He added that a lot of cars come like that straight from the factory. He concluded by saying there was absolutely nothing he could do about it. Well... keep piling on the garbage because it didn't do that before the accident. I went back to Reflections and asked they send it out to a different mechanic to get a second opinion. They refused and passed the buck back to me. So now I have to pay for another mechanic to look at the shoddy work that your mechanic did? You don't stand by your mechanic's work? Nice. Well guess what? I did take it to another mechanic. He put it on the lift, looked at it and said, "oh yeah! I can tell the alignment is off just by looking at it." Experience #2 Yeah, I know I should have known better. But I thought maybe things had changed. It had been a while and they seem to get good reviews lately. So I called for an estimate. Immediately the lady that answered did not sound pleasant. She said estimates are scheduled, so we set up a time on another day. I drove down there and was told they couldn't give me an estimate. Ummmm... why? They said they will only give estimates directly to my insurance company. You couldn't have mentioned this over the phone? What if I was paying for it out of my pocket? Could you give me an estimate if that were the case? Thanks for wasting my time. I won't trust a business that won't give me an estimate. My insurance company and I are just supposed to blindly trust what you say? No thanks. Getting estimates gives me different information from different vantage points. I also won't trust a business that won't stand behind their customer when the job didn't go quite smoothly. Hey, sometimes the experience isn't perfect. It happens and I'm OK with that. But it's how you deal with those particular issues that set you apart. I don't care if they happen to be the best body shop in town. Collisions often require mechanical work. If you're not going to stand by your mechanic and send me all over town to deal with a problem YOU were paid to deal with... how exactly am I supposed to trust you?

While my truck was in for the warranty paint/repair, I had a previous discussion with the collision center about a few other areas, not covered under the warranty, that required additional prep work and touch up. I was quoted and agreed to a price for a "Professional job" to address those areas. I was contacted when my truck was allegedly completed. Upon arrival for pickup I was extremely disappointed in the way the finished job looked. I truly felt what I saw In some areas looked almost worse than when I had originally dropped it off??? There were MAJOR paint lines, it appeared to me that potentially no prep work was properly done to rocker panels? The new paint appeared to be applied over the old flaking paint? The covered warranty work for the hood was not fully painted upon arrival. the seems had been missed. The truck had an additional couple of questionable scuffs and dings then when i had originally dropped it off?? There was major overspray on the undercarriage that will obviously not come off. Unfortunately , I CANNOT recommend this body shop as I was not happy with the end result after being led to believe it was going to be a "Professional Repair" as originally informed. Please be very cautious if you choose to use this body shop, I recommend taking a lot of pictures of your vehicle before hand and make sure you do an in depth inspection upon picking up your vehicle after the repairs. To be fair: After reviewing the areas of the above discussion and the horrendous job I felt I had received with management I was refunded some of my bill and my hood was fully repainted. It cost me additional time and was an inconvenience. I truly wish things could have been addressed appropriately the first time.
