After finding my mother a replacement door, we got several estimates to put on the new door and repair the frame of the car which had been damaged to the point that her car door wouldn't even close. Our quotes ranged from $800-$1500 with people wanting to cut out the damaged frame of the door and weld on new pieces... another one wanting to put the car on a stretcher (no idea what this is) and solder/stretch out the damage. Frustrated, I took to craigslist... where I found Larry Brafford and his auto body shop. His listing was to the point-- he has a small auto body shop, works with insurance companies, has a great BBB rating and to give him a shot. I called Larry, and sent him photos of my mother's car and the damage. He wanted to see the car in person and didn't give a quote over the phone... this is when I thought he was going to try to bamboozle us; but nope! After having her car looked at by 3 other people who all demanded insane prices and had weird ideas of how to fix the frame-- Larry pulled out a hammer and like a trained mechanic or smith, hammered out the frame on the spot and attached the new door, electrical wires and paneling for $125!!! Are you kidding me?! I'm so used to being taken advantage of by mechanics, it's beyond refreshing to see that there are still good ole business owners who take care of people and make their business by word of mouth... not by cheating hard-working blue collar folks out of their money.

A highlight of Center City Collision is their communication- they call twice a week to give a general update on the car's status, as well as were quick to respond to my (many) calls and emails. I was referred to Center City Collision by my insurance as a in network body shop, so taking my car their would facilitate the repairs. Paul communicated with my insurance company the whole time and I was never concerned with that aspect of the process. Additionally, he promptly sent me an estimate of the parts and time needed for the repairs. Unfortunately the parts for my foreign car were slow to be delivered, but they were quick to repair the damage (in the timeline given during the estimate) and when a needed part hadn't been noticed in the repair process, they had it overnighted and offered a rental car. Lastly, my car was spotless when I picked it up. So while the process was long and had a hiccup, this place deserves 4 stars for their customer service.

They apparently didn't notice this when they had it for a month and drove it around their lot but tried to blame us for driving it without oil after the accident. They never communicated with us and would never let us talk to a manager or the owner. We were only allowed to talk to one estimator who was never in the office. They ended up billing our insurance company the same amount we had paid for the car and voided our warranty.

I was too anxious that it was going to be so complicated like most mechanic visits and that they might overcharge me with BS services. When I got there, I met Brad who was very nice. With a quick look he easily determined that that my car might be a total loss. I was so convinced I just had a broken bumper! He explained what a total loss was and what my options were. He even talked to my insurance company for me. I usually try to figure things out in time but I didn't even have to do anything thIs time. He made sure I got offered rental services, which I turned down initially so he offered me a ride to work. The lady who drove me was very nice, too. I left my car at their shop until I had the chance to collect my stuff and they let me drop off my rental at their shop too, all for FREE! Of course my insurance company paid for car storage but there was nothing to inconvenience me. My transition to my new car was waaaaaaay smoother than my previous car purchase all because of the help from Brad and his crew. Finally, John, another employee there gave me a ride home when I left my rental and collected my stuff. I asked Brad if he was sure I didn't need to pay for anything at all as I'm always skeptical. It was too good to be true but it was true. I am so happy not only with the service but also with meeting all these nice people. They're genuinely friendly and helpful.
