Insurance companies come to heel before the reputation that is Caliber Collision. I am extremely opinionated about the companies I choose to patronize. Honestly, I can not make too fine of a point here. I do not just "go" where I'm told to go or "do" what someone else thinks is best for me. I spend REAL TIME deciding those choices for myself. I'm idealistic like that. What can I say? So when the lady behind the insurance phone line presumed to inform me that I should use someone THEY deemed "trustworthy"- she came flat up against this idealism. Jenn- "Oh. No worries. I already know EXACTLY where I'm going and they are beyond trustworthy." Pregnant pause. Insurance lady- "and who would that be?" Jenn- "Caliber Collision. The Boerne location. General manager, Rudy Keilman. Would you like his number? My truck is on it's way there as we speak." Insurance lady- "No ma'am. That will be fine. We know of Caliber Collision." Jenn- "The Boerne location?" Insurance lady- "Yes." Jenn- "Perfect! Thank you for subbing out your person for my person! Have a great day!" I come by this opinion honestly. We've used them several times for minor collision repair. They are courteous, professional, prompt and communicative. They are fair and honest and do not suffer a low ball quote from the insurance companies (and will store your vehicle for as long as it takes to work that fun process out! *sigh*) and will happily do this process knowing that they may not make a dime off the repair if it ends up being totaled. From the beginning to end, Caliber Fair Oaks provided first class service. I helped myself to their coffee bar and Oscar, my service advisor, patiently waited for me to finish before approaching me and introducing himself to me. I didn't feel rushed or felt like I was wasting his time. Oscar, was fantastic to work with. He listened to the issues at hand (hit and run on front bumper and someone tried to steal gas and broke hinge on my gas flap). He took pictures of my car and was able to provide me with a quote. The quote was fairly reasonable considering I was paying out of pocket for my repairs. I didn't have to waste my time with a rental, he ordered the parts and when they came in he called and I was able to schedule a time to drop it off. It took about a week, and they were even able to wash and deliver my car to my house. Would highly recommend. read more

I took my car to them and the claims person quickly took pictures of my car. Didn't listen to what I said about a leak. Should have put it on rack to look under car. Accused me of not telling her and then asked me why I drove the car if I knew I had a coolant leak. Really not my job. Thought it was hers. Texts were rude and condescending. On 5-12-23 Body work was done on my 2020 Kia Forte at this location RO #759000530 i spoke to OSCAR AVENA about three clip on the fender two were missing and one was loose, i SPOKE to Mr Avena on 10-7-24 about replacing the three clips if he would just mail me the clips i would installed them my self, due that i live 45 miles away in Spring Branch tx. i am still waiting for the clips the cost $1.65 each. The clips have not arrived i call this morning and spoke to Mr Avena and he has not mailed them yet. I will spend more gas money then the clips are worth thinking the work done there $2,500.00 was paid by the insurance. I hope this review will get some results. I cannot, for the life of me, understand how this place got 4.8 stars unless it is from corporate and either employees and/or paid reviews. I gave it one star and I was being kind but there was nothing for zero stars. The first time I went for an estimate the guy took all the pictures and said he would send me an email with the pictures and the estimate, no later than 7pm that day. I didn't hear from him and figured he got busy and I would get it the next day, but I never heard from him, ever! When I called to find out why I didn't get it, it was like they'd never heard of me! It seems the guy who did, or didn't do the estimate, up and quit! They said they'd do it again because there was no record or pictures, or anything. So I agreed but asked if the same thing would happen and I was assured it wouldn't. So back I went. Well, it did, the same thing happened, again! I think the only way they stay open is that insurance companies recommend them. I, for one, have shared my experiences with my insurance carrier and hopefully, other unhappy people will do the same so that, at least, the Caliber Collision in Boerne, Texas will have to change the way they do business. read more

So unfortunately I have needed Caliber Collision twice this year. Fortunately, the experience was great. First time up at bat, my car had hit a deer. They were super fast with the estimate and the repair. This was in conjunction with an insurance claim and the overall service was superb. Second time, my daughter had issues parking my car. This time it was on my dime. But we had also noticed a flaw in the paint from the initial incident. Joe took care of another quick estimate and worked me into their busy schedule. He promised to have the flaw looked at and repaired. They wound up repainting the entire hood again as part of their warranty. The other repair looked great as well. Mercedes Benz certified and a completely stellar customer experience. Notifications of expected due date as well as progress reports. I'm a fan. read more

Had an appointment at 11:15. I was early by a minute or two. Checked in, had a seat. After 15 minutes, I checked in again. After 30 minutes of waiting, I rescheduled and left. The front desk lady was extremely courteous when I asked to search my vehicle for my property, but a man named Chris was rude to me because of a miscommunication between me and my dad, who had previously been through the vehicle, and had not told me. I asked to see the vehicle, politely. His tone was extremely rude and pompous, and he told me "go take a look for yourself, if you don't believe me." EXTREMELY rude after I had just been in a life threatening accident. Treat your customers well and they will keep coming back. read more

Caliber Collision of Boerne is sad excuse for a Caliber repair shop. I have heard so many things about the company Caliber Collision but the Caliber Collision of Boerne defied all of these praises. After picking up my car from Caliber Collision there were some minor things that they forgot which was not a big deal and overall I was happy with the repair. The problem came with not only the customer service a month later, but also the fact that I was lied to in the store by the estimator, specifically, David. After hitting a deer in the right corner of my car I figured that there was going to be some alignment issues. So when I picked up the car, I wanted to verify that they had in fact aligned the front end so my new tire on that side wouldn't be ruined in a month. David informed that the car was perfectly aligned and ready to go. So fast forward a month later. The brand new tire that was put on is already having to be replaced because the car is no where near aligned. Then when I call them to find out why they didn't align the front end. I was placed on hold for 30 min before being able to talk to anyone and was hung up on once after being on hold too long? This is the second problem I have had with this specific location and will never be using it again. You're better off not getting your car fixed than having them work on it. read more

Long story short - almost a year ago I was rear-ended by a woman distracted by her cellphone and she ended up causing in excess of $23k in damages to my 2012 e350 Bluetec. I have had numerous issues with the quality of the repair job performed by Caliber Collision to the point that I have had to make seven follow-up visits for post-repair work on the vehicle. Just a few of the fit and finish issues that needed correction: rear passenger door was not properly centered and as a result air would bleed into the cabin when the vehicle was moving at a high rate of speed; the chrome trim that runs along the top of the doors was not properly seated after the car was re-assembled (in the included link you will see a picture of how far off the trim was compared to a spec e350 shown in another photo in the set. It took four visits to Caliber before a tech finally corrected the issue); a beetle was able to crawl inside my rear tail light and die.. nothing of that size should be able to squeeze into a properly assembled rear light on a vehicle; the interior rear-passenger door trim no longer rests flush in the door well. Despite several attempts to correct this issue the rubber seals still jut out in certain areas. The issue that has given me the most headaches as of late though is the quality of the paint job on the rear of the vehicle post-crash. In certain lighting conditions the paint looks unevenly applied on the trunk and the rear quarter panels. The best way to describe this problem would be to call it the "sponge effect." While one area may be darker in appearance and contain a small amount of metallic flake, the area directly next to it is lighter but has a higher concentration of metal in the finish. I took the car to Caliber on June 1st to have the issues with the paint corrected. Caliber had a representative from their paint supplier come out in person and look at the vehicle. The rep determined that that all of the repaired surfaces would need to be repainted. 22 days later (today) I came to pick up my car only to find that the quality of the paint job is still poor and to make matters worse there are areas in the paint where I can see buff marks and smearing under the clear coat. I have no clue what to do at this point as I fear that every time I let a technician at Caliber touch my car they will only manage to worsen its condition rather than improve it. HORRIBLE SERVICE!! First time writting a review, but doing so you'de know why I'm not going there anymore! Liers, they tell you something and do what benefits them! They lie to you and tell you this and that are going wrong but they only do this to get few more dollars out of your pocket!! Do Not trust them. They take SO long to repair your car, it took 1 and half month for my car to be repaired for a minor accident! You don't have to trust me, but this is the fact, and i just kept quit not to mess up my car!! They told me my car is going to be ready last week but, now that I'm writing this is 10 days later and i had to return my rental car by 1 month, and I have been without a car since, and I have a baby! I've been calling them everyday but they put me on hold for a long time, and then they are like we'll call you, or o we don't wanna rush them, ... I brought my truck in for them to replace a bad headlight that was still under warranty and installed by Caliber. It took them 4 weeks to get me 1 headlight. I scheduled an appointment to get it installed on my lunch break and waited 45 mins after the scheduled time and it ended up being the wrong one. It has been an additional 8 weeks and still have the incorrect headlight in my truck. I had called numerous times, just for the, very nice, reception lady to tell me the manager is busy and he will return my call. He never does! So I'm not sure why he refuses to return a customers call or why it takes 3 months to order 1 simple headlight. I feel bad for other customers who need more work done as I couldn't even imagine how long that might take. If you have any chance to use any other shop, I would recommend using somebody else or another Caliber Collision. This shop is completely unprofessional and will just waste your time. read more

We had our car repaired at Caliber Collision in Boerne. When we picked up our car they told us that the owners manual got grease on it from the mechanics and they would order us a new one. I also noticed a water stain on both front car mats. I pointed this out to Greg who was handling our repair in case we had any electrical problems later down the road. He said he would note our observation. Our roof and window had to be replaced due to a sign falling off a building and landing on our car. Not only was the owners manual missing, but also the car insurance info, registration, and maintenance records. I believe that the car was left outside in the rain. 9 months later the navigation system and radio had to be replaced. Lucky for us it was still under warranty at the dealership because I think it would have taken an act of Congress to get it fixed by Caliber. I have visited the body shop 6 times to check on the owners manual, which also has a DVD with it, and keep getting the run around. The last time they said it had arrived, but they could not find it and that rather then have me wait that they would call me that day. It's been 2 months now and have not heard a word and I'm tired of going over there. I would not trust this body shop to do another repair for me and think anybody should beware before they take their vehicle there read more
