They did great work on my Highlander after a deer hit my front bumper and at a very reasonable price. So glad we found this shop!

Insurance companies come to heel before the reputation that is Caliber Collision…read more I am extremely opinionated about the companies I choose to patronize. Honestly, I can not make too fine of a point here. I do not just "go" where I'm told to go or "do" what someone else thinks is best for me. I spend REAL TIME deciding those choices for myself. I'm idealistic like that. What can I say? So when the lady behind the insurance phone line presumed to inform me that I should use someone THEY deemed "trustworthy"- she came flat up against this idealism. Jenn- "Oh. No worries. I already know EXACTLY where I'm going and they are beyond trustworthy." Pregnant pause. Insurance lady- "and who would that be?" Jenn- "Caliber Collision. The Boerne location. General manager, Rudy Keilman. Would you like his number? My truck is on it's way there as we speak." Insurance lady- "No ma'am. That will be fine. We know of Caliber Collision." Jenn- "The Boerne location?" Insurance lady- "Yes." Jenn- "Perfect! Thank you for subbing out your person for my person! Have a great day!" I come by this opinion honestly. We've used them several times for minor collision repair. They are courteous, professional, prompt and communicative. They are fair and honest and do not suffer a low ball quote from the insurance companies (and will store your vehicle for as long as it takes to work that fun process out! *sigh*) and will happily do this process knowing that they may not make a dime off the repair if it ends up being totaled. (As was the case for our last visit.) Rudy runs that shop like the well oiled machines he returns to loving customers. If you're like me and you don't just go anywhere--but may not know yet about collision repair-- trust Caliber Collision (the Boerne location.) You won't be disappointed.

From the beginning to end, Caliber Fair Oaks provided first class service. I didn't feel rushed or felt like I was wasting his time. Oscar, was fantastic to work with. He listened to the issues at hand (hit and run on front bumper and someone tried to steal gas and broke hinge on my gas flap). He took pictures of my car and was able to provide me with a quote. The quote was fairly reasonable considering I was paying out of pocket for my repairs. I didn't have to waste my time with a rental, he ordered the parts and when they came in he called and I was able to schedule a time to drop it off. It took about a week, and they were even able to wash and deliver my car to my house. Would highly recommend.

I would urge caution when using Elite Collision of Boerne, particularly if clear communication and…read moreprofessional accountability matter to you. Unprompted, the morning of pick-up/at the last minute I was told that credit cards were not accepted and that payment would need to be by cash, check, or cashier's check only. This information was presented as definitive, not temporary, and was never disclosed at drop-off. Based on that, I had to move funds immediately, which caused unnecessary stress. Shortly afterward, I was told credit cards were in fact accepted after all -- but only with a surcharge. I asked due to their miscommunication that the surcharge be waived. To follow the business not only declined to waive the fee (fine) but also refused to apologize or even acknowledge that a miscommunication occurred (its all in emails) and eventually became verbally combative towards me when I sought to clarify the miscommunication in person. When I attempted to calmly explain my frustration regarding the email thread in-person directly to Louis (owner), Beatrice (owner) inserted herself into the conversation (without identifying herself until I asked) and repeatedly interrupted me before I could finish explaining what had occurred. Rather than listening, she became immediately defensive, referred to me broadly as "customers like you / people like you," and focused on justifying the business' issues with a credit card processor instead of acknowledging any understanding for my situation (moving funds around to be able to pay them cash at the last minute was stressful and although they resolved the issue so I could pay with credit it was only after I had already taken action based on their initial declarative email). What should have been a minor issue resolved with a simple apology escalated solely due to her hostility towards me. I later noticed multiple other reviews describing similar experiences with her demeanor, which unfortunately suggests this is not isolated. Additionally, the repair itself required rework due to visible paint chipping that should not have passed final inspection. Louise was silent when I pointed to the issue which seemed odd. He briefly reiterated that I had told him I was planning to sell the car after the repair. I asked him if that should matter regarding the quality of the work and he was silent again. He did agree to fix it at no additional cost at my suggestion. This part of the experience further reinforces concerns about quality control which have been expressed by other reviewers. The work done ultimately was good and price was fair. He should have offered to fix the work, I should not have had to suggest he should fix it. It is also worth noting that the business is not BBB-accredited. While that alone is not unusual, in the context of repeated communication and accountability complaints, it is relevant for customers who value transparency and dispute-resolution safeguards. Based on the totality of this experience, I will not be returning.

When I called originally, they were EXTREMELY rude to me on the phone about it. All I asked for was a quote and they spoke to me as if I was stupid and refused to give me a quote, then hung up on me. When my father called 5 minutes later they treated him much more kindly than me and gave him a quote almost immediately. Any time I called asking about updates they said someone would call me back and no one ever did. The biggest problem I had with this place, though, was the fact that they could never give me a straight, honest answer. I understand they might not know for sure, but I would've rather them just said that than lie over and over again about it. I nearly got fired because they wouldn't honestly tell me when I would have reliable transportation again. When I finally got my car back, after a month longer than they originally expected, they gave me a bill for twice the amount. Blindsided. Their customer service is extremely lacking in my experience and I've never been more frustrated with my car. I'd give this place one star but, damn did they fix my car up nice. They fixed everything, even things that had no relation to why I brought it in to begin with. I'm still very upset with the lack of communication and disrespect to me, but at the very least they did their job.
