Great service! I called on Weds to see about getting a quote for hanging a huge storage rack in…read morethe garage and fixing a dryer duct. Steve was able to send two people the next day. It turns out the dryer duct was fine so I gave them another small job to go with hanging the storage rack. Of course something always has to go wrong and in my case they hit metal when going into my garage ceiling. Being fearful of why there was metal at that specific spot in the ceiling, they proceeded very cautiously. I authorized them to cut an inspection hole in the ceiling to see what it was. Come to find out it was a steel beam! Well, now that they knew what it was, there was no issue completing the job and doing an excellent job patching the inspection hole as well. Well done! Perhaps not the cheapest guys in town but you get what you pay for and I will definitely use them again.

Well, we're less impressed, now. While our first experience with the company was textbook-perfect,…read morea couple of weeks later, we discovered a puddle down back above the drain field. We don't blame the company for doing something wrong, at all. In hindsight, WE were doing a lot of things wrong for good septic system maintenance. We called their office and left a message with the receptionist; no reply. Over the next couple of weeks, we called several more times. The last time, we did get a call back, saying that they'd try to come out in the afternoon to check it out. They never came by and never called again. In the long run, maybe they did us a favor. In the weeks since, we've been doing a lot of research and have discovered a few things we can try as "home remedies" before spending thousands to have the drain field dug up. No more than three loads of laundry per day, fewer flushes, switching soaps and detergents to more septic-friendly products, dryer sheets instead of liquid softeners, and "shocking" the system with extra Rid-X treatments. It all seems to be working; the puddle is much smaller and some days there's no puddle visible. Obviously, drain field work is a LOT more work than draining a septic tank. Maybe they just prefer to not deal with them, but we do wish they could have said so instead of stringing us along. Honesty up front wouldn't have cost them two stars in my review.

A Blast of Color (BoC) is a very impressive paint company. To start, my wife and I had our house…read morebuilt in Dover while still living in temporary housing out of state. We solicited multiple quotes from recommended painters in the area. We hired John A., the owner of BoC. John's quote met our schedule and was the lowest bid. We explained we were not able to be on location often however, John was proactive by stopping by the home while still under construction; inspected every room for drywall and trim irregularities; and then provided us a detailed quote. John recommended we visit a local paint store (SW) for our paint selections. We then provided him a copy of our floor plan with each paint selection per room. First day of painting, I came into town to meet John at the house. His crew went right to work sanding and patching walls where needed without delay. It was great seeing a work crew taking pride in what they do! By the end of the third day, the house looked fantastic! They even pulled out the refrigerator and painted the wall behind it. After the painting was done, their cleanup was outstanding. We were very pleased with BoC and would highly recommend them to everyone looking to have their residence or business painted.
