I previously had Mercury Insurance and was looking for a ride share coverage that I was comfortable with. Mercury wanted to charge me $350/year just to "endorse" me and for the exposure of driving for Uber/Lyft but not offer any coverage if I got into an accident. I explained my concerns to Lu and Kung and after a few emails we worked out a quote that I was comfortable with and with higher coverage than my previous insurance company. I gave them four stars because after submitting my quote online, I had to provide my information twice over the phone because it did not get transcribed correctly when the local agency received my quote. I hope this does not affect my credit twice for redo'ing the quote. Overall, I am satisfied with the level of coverage and even though my premium is higher than Mercury, I got higher coverage and a ride for hire endorsement that makes sense for rideshare drivers. This was not the case at all. Since being a member, I've made various changes to my policy and they're always done quickly and they follow through with their promises. Less than a year ago a rock hit my windshield and Allstate had it repaired at no cost. Juan Diaz has been my point of contact for almost 2 years now and he is phenomenal. He feels like a friend who has your back. He's extremely friendly, intelligent, and polished which has helped me make great decisions very quickly in regards to my policy. I also have chosen Allstate for my home insurance. A couple years ago, I reluctantly switched to my wife's provider AAA because it was priced moderately better. I ended up coming back to Allstate a couple months later along with my wife. You just can not get any better. When I work with Juan, I awaken to the fact that most other service providers aren't as dialed in. I get good service from doctors, servers, taxi drivers, bankers, accountants, etc, but rarely ever stellar service. If it is stellar, it's a one off, and it isn't consistent. Juan and his team at Allstate consistently provides stellar service and I feel good about recommending them to my fellow yelpers.
