There was a very nice lady there, I am so bad at names I can not remember hers, but she refused to let me leave without giving me a haircut, even though I could not pay today. She was very friendly and gave me a great haircut. I really appreciate it and plan on using this place in the future. I will tell my friends about it as well. Was not expecting something so nice today and it was a stressful day in town shopping so it was VERY appreciated. Any time someone does a nice thing for others it makes me happy, doubly so if it's for me (hehe). I hope others read this and decide to use their services. I plan on making it up to them in the future one way or another, but she doesn't know that and just made me feel better about the human race as a whole. The other added bonus was that she was a great and engaging person to talk to plus she adds the professional touch of scalp and neck massage (I've been to some upscale salons so this is an A+++ in my book)! I seriously felt like a model out of a hair product commercial after I walked out of the salon today. My hair was so picture perfect and silky soft. Thank you Laura!!! She really cares about her clients and the health of their hair - if what you want can damage your hair, she goes over it with you. She is unlike others, who do whatever for money. Her costs are totally fair, and if she doesn't vibe with someone she won't book them. The products she uses are always top notch, and she is consistently finding new products to share that add hair health attributes while in her chair, and at home. She takes absolute pride in being the new owner of Blue Sparrow Salon! She is very diligent in ensuring it remains a drama-free, safe, relaxing space. Also, the salon location is great with plenty of parking. Overall, I'd give it a 10 out of 5 if I could! P.S. As you read any business reviews on Yelp or Google, keep in mind the reviews can be left by literally anyone; there is no proof needed that the reviewer actually tried out the business. Reviews may be left by honest people, or cowards hiding behind pseudonyms *ahem, Sandy A.* .. or left on the wrong business with the same name .. all of which impact small businesses. All that to say - if you get less than stellar service anywhere talk to the owner - they can't fix what they don't know! Don't be a Sandy A.!

I had a long bob before walking into this salon and asked for a trim (to clean up the ends). I came out with a weird sort of A-line. The back is extremely short even though I repeatedly asked her to stop cutting, she said it wasn't even yet. And the front is just two long pieces that do not even flow into the back. The things is, I never even asked for an A-line to begin with. I paid of course because I felt like it was the right thing to do, but I walked out in tears. I hope no one else has to have this experience.

When I arrived, Chloe greeted me, sat me in her chair and introduced her father, who would be doing the cut. At the time of checkout, I was presented with a credit card scanner for her father in the amount of $90 for the cut (isn't the haircut included with coloring fee?). Then came a different scanner for a company called Glossed, LLC in the amount of $400. She should have mentioned her fee and company and not blindside me with this outrageous charge. She never mentioned that she had her own business (Glossed, LLC) or her own price point other than what the website that she is working under states. $490 plus tip is an outrageous fee, and nothing was ever mentioned about it, I was assuming I would be paying $250 plus tip on the website of the salon where she works. I did text Chloe with regard to this false advertising and have received no response. Zero transparency and an outrageous fee makes me go elsewhere.
